The pH range is between 4-6.5. The ideal is around 5. When i get my potting mix from a company that does mixes for nurseries it's usually around 6. In pots, it's good to stick with the range. When it comes to the garden though, i don't bother even taking a reading. I just make sure to mix in some potting mix (any kind will do) for the roots, so they are able to spread easily as many succulents grow very thin roots. Having said that, if you want you can definitely amend the soil in the garden as well, so it's between 4-6.5. You will need a good pH meter- the cheaper ones tend not to be super accurate. Hope this help.

Your pronounciation of "Schwarzkopf" is indistinguishable from a native german. Is it not too impolite to ask about your native language? You don`t sound like a german otherwise...

Haha, thanks- that's a great compliment. I always worry i'll mangle the pronunciation 😅 I used to learn German at school many moons ago and love visiting Germany (have been a couple of times now on holiday), but i'm originally from Slovakia. I've lived in Australia for longer than i have in Europe now but the accent is still there 🙂
