I feel like you're one of the most honest reviewers. Not to say other reviewers aren't being truthful but you will say what you love and what you dislike about a product in the same sentence, pulling no punches and I'm here for it. Keep killing the game.
Enjoyed the insight to the differences. I'm a K2 fatty pro, M12 guy from the 1900's getting back into it with Gawds. They feel like home and the wider soul setups these days can only be good fo us older and fatter guys lol
Baby Brandon in the 908 throwback footage. Reminds me of your america tour back then those videos were great. Can't wait to see what you do this year man.
Awesome vid as always. It's a shame that the Brutales didn't work out. I got a pair of custom Brutales with a Diolene shell which fits like a glove from the first second, spot on. After heatmoulding it was even better, didn't think it would be possible. I bought a almost new set of Brutales for a redicolous cheap price (2021 model, carbon shell) and I had the same issues like you. Took me a while but after a couple of horrible session, they also fit perfectly.
It's kinda interesting hearing people either love or hate the stock THEM liners. For me personally they were so uncomfortable, and created really bad pressure points on my shin. I've never had any other skate or skate liner do that to me before.
I bought a set of usd 6:34 Sway xxi and replaced the liners and wheels..great setup! Compared to my (still using) Rollerblade TRS estilos and access, usd is not as good. I WISH I bought the Blank skates. Rollerblade quality is second to none.
My top 3 are literally same as yours 909’s with premiums just work no major issues with “them” and you it’s gonna be a good session. Funny enough the Blank liners actually work really well in the Mesmers, not had my Mesmers long though so still getting to grips with them
I'm having the absolute same issues with the Brutale. I don't skate enough to break them in fast. I'm maybe 4 hours a month. Will keep at it, but there is a bit in the toebox that crushes my toes. Tried all the methods on the adapt site but still no luck. Sadly.
The longer heat mold and not doing up the laces at all during heatmolding made it so the cuff wasn't pulled in too much so it formed to my ankle better, a tip I never see mentioned usually it's so up laces tight... maybe try that I love my adapts now probably never go back
Just a thought, I got the usd carbons and they are very true to size. So my toes were a touch cramped and had some points on the side. (Try at your own risk) you can check with your skate shop for advice. I heat molded mine 3 times and it took a couple weeks of skating to break them in. This is the try at your own risk, i put paper towels in front of my toes and then put my foot in. It actually stretched the toes enough to were i could get past it. I did bolt my soul plates and frames to the skate before put my foot in the hot boot. You could go to a hockey/ ice skate shop, they have all the tools to flex boots. Everyone is different, i like my carbons, I do agree with you they are great for grinding, vert just ok. Anyway maybe some of that can spark the adapts again for you.
Glad you still have the Adoopts. You promised me I'd get to try them some day :) Tip: don't show the view from your apartment. I recognized the buildings and now I know where you live :D
I had the same problems with Adapt skates… after 2x heat molting and taping styrofoam on my angle … 20 min in the oven … just bevor melting 😅…the skates fit now perfect …… no other skate has this sound an the feeling … and I testet a lot …
As a skater from the late 90s- 2000 i hate the current look fo the aggressive skates, with this overly large soul plates. Most of us did all those tricks without soul plates, shifty/ royale grove in the boot or pre grooved frame. The grooves were the result of grinding. Shifty or backslide was done without touching the boot. But if we did, it was due to how deep our posture was during the grind. Thats why the only skates i would buy right now is the blank. It has an oldschool flair. I still own salomon ST because of that. You remind me on 2 instances inwhich i slipped out of an soul grind (lock of the rear boot). Caused by jumps over a ramp blind on a grindbox, and over the table of a small funbox on to its rail, when i was 14. One result was a cut over my eye, the other one was a slightly broken and dislocated middle finger🙈.
How anyone can deal with noise that Them skates make is beyond me ... 😂😂 to each their own. Also , I've been skating adapts all year.. most comfortable skates I've ever owned, blame your downsizing...not the skate

I appreciate the honesty with your reviews and the skate nerd in me just likes hearing about the different setups 🤓
careful, peter might break your knees for saying that
😂😂
Nice insight 👏🏽

Smelly Intuitions are easy to prevent, get yourself a boot dryer. Best thing ever.
I have one, and it definitely helps, but they still smell the worst out of all my skates 😆

@@samand3rson Cheers bud! Will give it a try later on.
Mesmers win for me.
Literally had to shave the inside of the shells to make them work but now they do and I love them
Dude, your hair on the 908 video 😄. Buzzcut is definitely the way forward

Had to come back for the new content coming out.
Thanks so much man

1:48 Ahh we've all been there mate 😂😁
Have you done a sway review ?
What size Adapts did you end up getting? If they're a size 8 (41) and you wanna sell them, hit me up!
Do you find the Intuition liner runs big? Did you have to downsize the liner?
I love my USD Carbon
Do they still make tour aggressive skates
Does you anyone know good websites or places to buy, I got my most recent pair on Amazon & am ready to step it up to something like aeons or razors
do you have any tips for people with wide feet? I stupidly got razors cults but they feel like getting stabbed in the feet 1000 times every second.
I'd recomend asking a skateshop for recomendations. From what I've heard, Roces 5th Elements are good for wider feet.
@@BrandonDrummond Thank you!

Does this apply to 2023??
Yes! Thanks for watching
I unfollowed Lino after he stepped up to rehab Adapt. Not only to work their image, but also to try and ham up Pieter's ridiculous superleggera skate.

"Gutted cause the skate is worn out after a year"🤦🏼♂️

I think you’re just a m12 dude… seems to be the measuring stick for you and nothing else is clicking the way they did
I hope that changes one day 😆
So weve established this is all a whimsical waste of time, get the skates that fit, theyre all the same!
909 are quite plain looking & quite pricey. Why I stick Roces at no.1 of all time skates. 🛼
