If it had 5-6 players included I'd purchase but just the base game is too limited at this price.
The fact they didn't leave flat spots for the number markers on each tile is idiotic.

It's beautiful - if it was $100 I'd buy it in a heartbeat. But not this much for a basic board game tbh.

I just bought new 3d base game here in Alberta Canada at Costco for $90 CAD or $70 USD
Also just got Seafarers and cities knights 3D for $200 USD online.
How do you randomise the map layout with 3D pieces that cannot be put upside down, shuffled and then used to randomly build the island map? At least that is how we prepare our games of Catan, perhaps we are doing it wrong as that process for setting up the island is impossible with this version. 🤔
What you can do instead is each in turn place a tile of your choice into the hex grid wherever you want. Sure there's a way to do it with shuffling the same number of resource cards as tiles or a dice
You can just pile up as many resource cards as hexes of each. Shuffle the deck and grind each tile as the resource card comes out. For desert you can use any DC.

I agree that there should be a flat spot for the tokens. If they're worried about hiding the artwork they could make the number tokens a little smaller. But basically make the dome for the token part of the art, not stuck on top of it.
As for the robber, it needs a circular base. I assume it's intended to replace the token on that hex, but if you want to get fancy, make the base concave so it fits over the token. The desert piece could even have a little dome for the robber to sit on.
To distribute tiles, I recommend the technique I saw in another video. Number the tiles A-S, (on the back) and randomly draw the number tokens, using the letter on the back to choose the tile to place. Use an extra token for the desert. (So you'll probably have to use the tokens from the standard game or an expansion)
Anything would improve the robbers balance but yeah a concave base would work very well. Great idea on the randomisation of the numbers!

An oversight on my part I tried to show the pieces off individually as I could get better detail/ quality.
I bought it for $105, which I think is a good price for it.

I'm 3d printing a set and I wanted to see how it compares to the official 3d version. I think the official one just doesn't look as good
Suppose by doing your own you can customise it however you wish!

It's the production quality and I've seen it sold for under £100 so shouldn't be €200+
