Yeah! I’ve missed you😊
Best video yet. Most human video, I'd say. Knowing you feel about your work much as I do is very helpful. And knowing that you were uncertain was helpful. Great video. Thanks very much.
Great to see a new video from you Mark. Thanks for everything, every one of your videos, your website, your dedication to teaching people. Love from Ireland 🇮🇪
Thank you for your videos Mark. They are the most educational, relaxing paintings videos ever. You learn a lot, and definitely feel calm watching ALL of Mark’s videos.
You’re best landscape So far. IMO.
Fantastic video! I've learned so much over the years from watching Mr. Carder. My paintings have drastically improved as a result.
I love Your painting techniques and color. Am Temesgen from Ethiopia. My interest is landscape painting. I have learned from your tutors. Thank You!
It’s nice, the house details look real, without being overly detailed.
This landscape series is super relaxing to watch/listen to.
What a pleasure to watch a master artist at work! Awesome painting 💟 thanks for sharing 🙏✨
Miss your Utube- I am lucky to have following your method from the get go, pure treasure!!
I have the Geneva Oil paints and Brush Dip, and love them! Happy to see you painting another landscape!
Love this teaching video! Thank you from New Mexico 🇺🇸!
It's so hilarious how you're like, "I don't know if I'm good or not." I love that you're so honest. Well, I've learned a lot from you, probably more than I've learned from anybody, so you definitely know what you're doing and you're good at explaining it.
It's always inspiring to watch your painting demonstrations! Thank you for all your effort, lessons and work! Sending you best regards from Bulgaria!
A fabulous painting with a helpful and insightful commentary. Thank you.
Its so nice to hear you talking about your doubts and uncertainty while you're painting. Ive never heard any artist admit to them 😊
That's a good point. I think having doubts is a prerequisite of being an artist. It means you are assessing your work and wanting to improve. Whether or not you admit to them is a matter of ego...
Very beautiful. The clouds look spectacular. Your Videos have the right speed and length to follow your workprocess.
Thanks, Mark❣
Gracias gran maestro,desde Bogotá Colombia
Well - I am not sure what your friends said about this painting, but from my perspective it's a beauty!
Glad to see a beautiful painting after a long time. I am always mesmerized by your skills in mixing colors and how effectively you lay them side by side, they all complement each other. I hope to see another amazing work of yours very soon.
Reminds me of NC Wyeth's work a bit.
You seem to have really found a really comfortable spot and true freedom of expression since doing so many portraits. Almost George Inness looking. Great job!
Your last landscape, painted from imagination or memory was better imo. It would be nice to see you go out in the landscape and paint in plain air:)
I'm glad to see a new video.. love all the videos
I love seeing these videos, Mark!
This is lovely Mark, thank you!
Consider retiring in Lancaster County Pennsylvania. Lots of farmland, interesting fields and woods and streams. The food of the area is great, with many farmer's markets and great restaurants. But you are close to New York, Philadelphia, and Washington DC. Pittsburgh isn't too far away either. Wyeth museum is a county away. Warhol museum in Pittsburgh. Many more museums in New York, DC and Baltimore. So, you can get the best of many different worlds while still enjoying the countryside.
Thank you again, Mark for another great and informative video 😊
Beautiful! Thanks for the video ❤
I've watched several videos of yours, and I love your information, and this painting is beautiful, love your use of compliments!
That looks amazing
Love it so much . This is fantastally done! Cheers!
Happy to see you painting and sharing your amazing talent with us, it's so moving to watch you work. Thanks so much for posting whenever you can, love it..
I suffer with COPD, wish I would have known about your paint, I have spent to much already on other brands, even went to acrylics, But I am still stuck.
Really enjoyed this, beautifully done for a simple painting, and articulate video.
Appreciated, thank you
Thanks, Mark. Just top off some more paints and brush dip from you. I absolutely love your easel, best purchase I ever made. I also have your palettes and made my own table top for those. Good stuff🙂
Nice to see you paint again
Great to see a new video from you. Hope you’re well.
Thank you Mark. Very interesting 😊
❤ super interesting
very nice!
The close-up of the brushstrokes in the end was the highlight of the whole video, for me!
I am not able to guess what the two square structures to the left of the farmhouse are, though.
Thanks a lot for the tutorial. Though I have stopped painting for want of time, I enjoy watching.
Thank you sir.
Missed you!!
Very satisfiying 1st class demonstration. I
I thought it a very moving painting in tonality fashion. I'd imagine you'd like the Hudson River School. The mood is calm and serene. Do you offer your finished landscapes for sale?
have been missing your videos severely
Thank you for video, never can get used to see how much paint is wasted after every work. I never mix enough paint because of this 😅😂
I use Midjourney too. What prompt did you use for such style?
Can you please do more on portrait work ?
The sky was Tricky Mark! What'd you use? Cerulean Blue?
Would be interested in how you’re using AI for use in your work ie for artist’s benefit! Thanks, Kazz
I'm having fun watching the video. I'm a Korean student who wants to start oil painting this time. I have a question What kind of oil are you using? I bought a linsed terrefin, and I'm curious about the rate of mixing oil. I asked you a question with a Google translator because I can't speak English. Please understand.
You don't supply your products to India? If not think for start.
Geneva paints are so nice to move around at various times...

I enjoyed this, nice job.
I have been trying to open the Artists' Forum but for several weeks have not been able to, it gives me a "Maintenance 503" messgae.
Is the forum inactive, or am I doing something wrong?
Is your canvas pre primed? I have searched can you provide that link? Thanks
Do you have any unique thoughts or feelings about Midjourney or generative AI’s like it?
How much time is used for completing the painting ?
What did you mean by, “dark areas are in the horizon…”?
Don't have to Verbatim, who knows your version might be better than the Original!
All the time I would spend..........All the bro bros Ide ment...where am I now?
LOVE THIS. I've created a "library" of Midjourney images that I would like to use as the basis of a painting (I'm just beginning, and creating AI "paintings" actually led me to want to try actual painting). It seems to be a fantastic tool for artists, and a way to use AI, rather than rally against it. GREAT VIDEO!
By using AI software you are essentially allowing the programmers of the software to do all of the creative work for you. The devs are the ones that designed the software to create new images in a set matter.
What is dirty colors
Sorry to inform you, Mark, but retirement will not be allowed. 😂 at least not until I've absorbed and implemented as much of your knowledge as I can acquire. Cheers!
Like the painting. Been thinking a lot about AI as a tool. I’ve played around with adding an AI generated background scene to a figure that I’ve painted. I’ve created several background scenes and picked out the elements I like for the final painting. I think AI will be a positive thing. Will allow an artist to push the boundaries of ‘HumaN’ imagination.
Humans are still doing the creative work for you. The developers program the software to manipulate images in a set way. The developers are humans that are doing the creative work for you. To get true artificial intelligence would require a fully conscious being that is capable of independent thinking. Something that is far off the map. AI should be called developer designed manipulation in the context of the software people are using for image manipulation.
@@johnbloom1109 All the creative work is being done by me the artist. Very little is being provided by AI. All AI is doing is providing another perspective. I think it is massively overstated that AI is going to be the centre piece of art projects. Authenticity is important to me, and I have no intention of producing art made by AI. AI apps are no different than a brush, a tube of paint, a pencil.
@@BenKrisfield "AI apps are no different than a brush, a tube of paint, a pencil." Yeah that's a crock and you know it.
@@thedarkmatterplanet calm down...
I love your videos but I hate AIs... My stand point with AIs is "don't use them and pretend they don't exist". I'd love to see you painting from photographs or plein air
I guess its like doing a master copy. Only the master is a computer.
Why not manipulate the photo in light room and Photoshop to get the desired image that you want? Don't see the point in painting from photo. Photo looks nothing like real life. It would be better to manipulate photo in light room and photo shop and then print. Once you start copying or even working from photos you are essentially photo editing.
It looks AI. Sorry but kinda relieved.
I don't liked😡😡😡
