@Imagine GUYS well the thing is none of BTS look alike. maaaaybe sometimes people will get jungkook and v mixed up but even then they have very different features all of them do. so it's hard to even mix them up. I think half the time the only problem is people can't remember their names so they will call them each others names. I understand when people can't tell some apart. thats what really caught my attention about BTS I love a lot of kpop groups but it's hard for me to learn all of the members compared to BTS. like I said in my comment above there is just something so special about them all that they are all so easily distinguishable. Like I really invested my whole life in with this group 🤣💜
Jimin actually studied contemporary dance at Busan High School of Arts and was a top student in the modern dance department before he audition for BigHit. So that why this choreography fits him so well and why he had a solo part in the mv
Well because ballet and contemporary are both taught the same, only difference is ballet stays classical and contemporary you learn the classics to break its rules and add other genres to it to make it contemporary.
@% Holy Garanja Jimin majored in contemporary dance at Busan High School of Arts. This school teaches the basics of other dance genres. It's school's curriculum. Even if you are not majoring in other genres, the school teaches students the basics of other genres as their curriculum. Jimin also followed this curriculum. So he can use the basic skills of ballet and that's the reason why people who see black swan refers ballet. Besides contemporary dance uses many basics that comes from ballet.
This is an old theater being renovated in LA. Jimin is trained in contemporary dance and thus why he is center/solo to capture the ballet feel of black swan.
The entire song is inspired by a quote from Martha Graham (an American dancer and choreographer, one of the so-called "great four" founders of American modern dance): "a Dancer dies twice. The first time is when he stops dancing, and this first death is much more painful." This is what guys sing about: how, after becoming famous stars and celebrities, they can lose love for their work, thereby losing themselves. They remind themselves, their listeners, and, of course, their fans that the most important thing in creative work is creativity, not fame and popularity. You should always remember what you are doing and for whom (of course, the emphasis is on the fact that you are doing all this only for your own satisfaction). You can't let fame, wealth, and almost intangible success overshadow the most important goals of your creative path. For both dancers and singers, the first death is the loss of interest and love for their own works, for their work: the loss of passion and the urge to create - that's what really scares the most popular group in the world.
I also love how that quote can apply to basically anything that anyone is passionate about. Eg. When I was younger I used to play the violin. It was something that I started on a whim because I couldn't get into chorus class... I wasn't passionate about it at first, but after 3 years I became the best violinist in my orchestra class. It was a love for classical music that I still couldn't fully understand. Fast forward, for certain circumstances I had to stop playing the violin. I became depressed and decided to leave it for good. Now that I'm an adult I regret it so much. It feels like something inside me died, literally. Why ? Because music is truly a gift of life. And I just LOVE how BTS portrayes that to everyone. Even the people that don't understand the language. They show you indifferent genres and sides to their music so you can appreciate their work, let it be by dancing or singing. They are also a literal example that if you love something, never give up on it. I love them. Maybe someday I can take up my violin again, and if not, perhaps my daughter will be more passionate about it than me. It's fine if it isn't that particular instrument, as long as she finds something to be passionate about.
Black Swan showcased Jimin's contemporary dance style, I remembered he thought he was not for BTS because of his dance moves, the choreography was way different from what he was trained at school, and of course BTS breaking the stereotypes, proved him wrong.. He deserved to be with BTS, he worked hard to get to where he is now and all of them too.

For some reason, I didn't see anyone mention this for when you said "it's like martial arts mixed with ballet" because you were close to the facts! Jimin (the main Black Swan guy with solo dance here) was trained not only in contemporary, which he actually studied for less than two years, but also in some Korean traditional, jazz dance, hip-hop for 4-5 years AND martial arts for 8 years! He is trained in taekwondo (black belt), kumdo, hapkido and some Chinese martial arts. He combined all of the physical skills and training he has ever had to create his own unparalleled dance style which DOES incorporate martial arts. So you were really close ^_^ P.S.: Jimin's solo dance shots were also free-styled!
This song screamed JIMIN I LOVE YOU! And Jimin danced his love OF dance back. I was so disappointed when the tour was cancelled and I wasn’t able to see him perform it live, but I was more disappointed for Jimin because he wouldn’t be able to perform this choreography as many times as it deserved.

Anyway, Namjoon was my first bias and I eventually changed to Jimin. But truly, I'm OT7 and I'm gonna shut up now. LOL

This one was actually dropped from no where and got all ARMYs shook. lol. If you guys can and haven't watched it, I recommend watching BTS Black Swan live performance at the James Corden show. Fans and the guys themselves don't consider themselves to be K-Pop in genre. They prefer to be known for their "integrated content" as they use ALL genres in their work. At this point, I don't think it's possible for BTS to shock their ARMY. That's why we love them!
If you know about K-pop, then you know that all K-pop groups do integrated content. Many non-Korean speaking fans misunderstand what Suga was saying when he said "K-pop is not a genre." They think he meant "Don't call us K-pop". But what he actually meant was "stop saying K-pop is a genre, because it is much, much more than a genre. Think of it as integrated content." He wasn't trashing the word "K-pop". He was trashing the word "genre." He was defending K-pop by asking people not to call it a genre. They are definitely K-pop, and definitely consider themselves K-pop artists. And if you think they want to take the name of their country out of their identity, you are out of your mind. They do NOT, however, consider themselves a K-pop IDOL group anymore. They see themselves as not fitting into any genre of K-pop music or any other category of music. They are their own genre. But they also do NOT care if you want to call them idols, or hip-hop, or artists, or whatever. They are fine with anything. They even wrote a song about that.
@@JoobieLoobieSoobie It's like comparing cherry tomatoes to roma tomatos--they're still tomatos!!! BTW, I never suggested they should/would take the name of their country out of their "genre,", so no, im not crazy.
VCW Loves that’s good to know, because when you said ‘fans and the guys themselves don’t consider themselves to be K-pop in genre’ it, sure sounded like you want to separate them from their Korean musical identity. Maybe you should not say such a culturally insensitive thing so people don’t misunderstand you.
@@JoobieLoobieSoobie I can speak 3 languages and am a minority myself. I code-switch a ton and I think it's a breath of fresh air to finally have a group come in and do them! It's about time, dont you think?
VCW Loves what does “do them” mean? Do what? I’m not following you. You talk about tomatoes, code-switching, how many languages you speak, everything except the topic - which is whether or not it’s a good idea to eliminate the word K-pop when talking about BTS. I think it’s culturally insensitive. You don’t. We’ll agree to disagree.
It was filmed in the Los Angeles Theater, and the one solo dancer with the blue hair is Jimin, and he is trained in: hip hop, traditional korean dance, and contemporary, he was a top student, he got offered a scholarship to study contemporary abroad but he rejected it to join BTS and his teacher said that "the world of contemporary dance lost unimaginable talent that day". The MV of Black Swan is inspired by the movie Black Swan, Jimin represents Nina (Natalie Portman and the main character of the movie).
windboy Carpol karaoke it cannot give you all the information, but it gives you a slight idea about the group. That's why I liked that so much! The virgins are introduced to BTS in the best possible way!
Jimin studied contemporary & ballet and his the top student in the dance department in busan, then he studied moderndance, popping & hiphop. Because of his talent his teacher paid for his tuition while studying at the art school in busan Jungkook was good at dancing but BH sent him to the US to train and improve his dancing more Jhope freestyle street dancer and a member of a dance group when he was nit in bts yet. The groups name "neurons" Rm, Suga, V and Jin does not have any experience in dance but trained so hard and it paid off. Ilove these 7 talented dorks ❤️❤️
Don't be "shocked" by the quality of BTS' music videos because S. Korea has been shocking the world with their genius film making for years now. But then again, BTS always outdo themselves. They're one of a kind. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Your videos are so great! I love how you (and your friends) notice and comment on so many interesting details in their music, choreography, and overall visuals.
I love how every american reactors always praising the black swan set for its beauty and questioning the location of the theater while it’s in their own country (LA) 😂
Guys, the theater is in Las Angeles they shot the video while in the US. No, they were not all pretrained in dance or singing. People SERIOUSLY have zero idea how extremely dedicated, talented and close these guys are. The United States truly are not fully ready for BTS. They are literally worlds ahead of American artist on every level. You guys have no idea what this group of amazing young men are about and capable of. And YES, their concerts are also on a completely different level. Saw them at MetLife in May 2019 and have tickets to both Dallas shows. BTW, I’m 54 🤭😁
The girl on the right: “He is the main one.” Me: No, not that Western mindset again 🤦🏻♀️ GIRL, WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THAT??? Being the leader and the spokesperson of a group doesn’t mean he’s the main one. That mindset is the reason why no other group is as successful as BTS. Each member is unique and plays a critical and important role in the group. With BTS, no one is the MAIN one here. Anyway, nice video though. Hope you guys will learn more about BTS and Kpop as a whole. Edit: BTS is the most balanced group in many ways. For example, Suga and RM are the best at producing music, writing lyrics, and composing songs (I know J-hope too but what I’m emphasizing here is that these two were the ones starting off earlier and have the most experiences). These two influence the other members, helping them involve in the process of making music more, which is why all the members actively participate in creating process for their albums. J-Hope and Jimin are the most experienced and skilled dancers so they help the other members with dancing. Jin is the true representation of hardworking and effort, the key of success of BTS. His vocal is no joke. V makes BTS unique (ARMY know why). Because of his character, feature, charm, and vocal. Jungkook has the most stable and versatile vocal. He can sing, rap, or whatever because of his outstanding techniques and ability to control his vocal cord. J-Hope, Jimin, V, and JK are the best at performing/dancing/charisma on stage, which easily captures attention. That’s why nowadays all the members have equally strong stage presence, they all are amazing performers. Not only that, they all can write or producing music. There are more but all I want to say is that the group is presented as a whole. It doesn’t revolve around only one member. They fill in the gaps of each other and balance the group out, making each member become multitalented. Each individual is promoted equally and they themselves have their own fan base and popularity. But at the end, true ARMY love and respect them equally. It’s never a surprise for a member to be more popular than the others because it’s impossible to have the same number of fans for each lmao 🤣 That’s common sense. It doesn’t mean anything. But actually BTS members are quite equally popular lol 😂 I really can’t understand why people have to try to figure out or point out who is the main one lol 😂 it’s a group, not a solo.
I think she meant the main one as in the one most people recognize first. She even knew how he learned English. He is the one who speaks most in American interviews. Most people who know very little about BTS will recognize RM first. I don’t think she was trying to diminish the other members in any way
Relax... she doesn't know a lot of things about group dynamics like them. Be easy with new people discovering them.. in the future if she'll learn more about the boys, she'll know for sure that every one of them are important. Take it easy :)
"Hear this song on the radio and not know it was kpop" this is why bts has never really been part of the kpop industry, there is a difference, they're on another level

Next Video request:, I keep going back & forth between On; Kinetic Manifesto, because it's completely different or something that is more like Black Swan, Something like; Blood Sweat & Tears or Fake Love. They have so many great videos. FIRE, Not Today, Dionysus, Spring Day etc.
So many to choose from!! We HAVE to watch and react to more!

I’m so glad to have people like these that actually admire it because some people just hate and don’t understand how much talent that they have
It was filmed in the Los Angeles Theater, and the one solo dancer with the blue hair is Jimin, and he is trained in: hip hop, traditional korean dance, and contemporary, he was a top student, he got offered a scholarship to study contemporary abroad but he rejected it to join BTS and his teacher said that "the world of contemporary dance lost unimaginable talent that day".
The MV of Black Swan is inspired by the movie Black Swan, Jimin represents Nina (Natalie Portman and the main character of the movie).
The girl on the right is no BTS virgin. LOL
I mean, she did say she watched their carpool karaoke video
windboy Carpol karaoke it cannot give you all the information, but it gives you a slight idea about the group. That's why I liked that so much! The virgins are introduced to BTS in the best possible way!
yes, hmmm i wonder but RM isn't "the main one" , she should know that since she is not a virgin anymore, i guess:))!!
cristina andreea She probably just thought that because RM was the only one who spoke English in the carpool karaoke video!
@@huntywuntybunty let's go with that!!:)) plus if she is intrested in them she will see eventually that all of them are "main ones" loll
Jimin danced when he was in high shcool so the dance line was like this
You should watch their lyrics too... Their lyrics are full of deep meaning!!!!!
Nice reaction. Did you guys watch the meaning video? This one got tons of layers. Love this song and Jimin of course.
They actually shot the MV in The Los Angeles Theatre in Broadway Theatre District.
*"BTS is the only thing that can defeat corona virus, I think"*
_I died_ ........
Main dancer in the middle is jimin yes
Hi Kpop님^^
I've been waiting for your guy's reaction to Black Swan by BTS! 🖤🦢
Jimin studied contemporary & ballet and his the top student in the dance department in busan, then he studied moderndance, popping & hiphop. Because of his talent his teacher paid for his tuition while studying at the art school in busan
Jungkook was good at dancing but BH sent him to the US to train and improve his dancing more
Jhope freestyle street dancer and a member of a dance group when he was nit in bts yet. The groups name "neurons"
Rm, Suga, V and Jin does not have any experience in dance but trained so hard and it paid off.
Ilove these 7 talented dorks ❤️❤️
They should watch bapsae and a Halloween dance practice
BTS make me a proud Asian 😍💜✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I think you guys should check out their live performance. Definitely recommend their performance on end of year award shows, they are awesome!
Can someone tell the guy in violet that Jimin learned years of Ballet and Contemporary dances😂
I looked it up bc it reminded me of European theaters and I was like where is this???!!!
The girl on the right: “He is the main one.”
Me: No, not that Western mindset again 🤦🏻♀️ GIRL, WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THAT???
Totally agree. I was hoping someone would mention this
Well said. Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I think she meant the main one as in the one most people recognize first. She even knew how he learned English. He is the one who speaks most in American interviews. Most people who know very little about BTS will recognize RM first. I don’t think she was trying to diminish the other members in any way
@@asm2614 I didn’t say she was trying to diminish other members. I just hope she will be more aware of the meaning about what she said.
Relax... she doesn't know a lot of things about group dynamics like them. Be easy with new people discovering them.. in the future if she'll learn more about the boys, she'll know for sure that every one of them are important. Take it easy :)

The guy keeps on hipying JIMIN the whole time 😁
You nice, keep going.
"Hear this song on the radio and not know it was kpop" this is why bts has never really been part of the kpop industry, there is a difference, they're on another level
Suga rapping at the background
Her: oh and I think they rap I think
Suga: am I a joke to you?
Thanks you for the reaction, please reaction more BTS and Twice. 💜🌸
My favorite reaction is the guy airpods in the part the wings omg so cute
" ARMY ALL THE WAY BABY "

Main dancer Jimin is the most captivating performer!

vien to ua-cam.com/video/FlL_NvgdAsI/v-deo.html
BTS are the greatest performers alive! they are beyond KPop! they practically their own genre! BTS is the best! there's nothing like BTS!
Black Swan is about their fear in losing their passion in music amidst their popularity
And the probably mean worldwide handsome 😁
Hi Chad, good to see you guys!
I need to see the guy in purple reacting to a Jimin's compilation. Please show him something!!
I died....."BTS the only thing that can defeat coronavirus" .... LMAO ... please have him join your reactions - I love they way he talks so loud with the headphones in and his eyes/voice really express his true reactions so well, he can be the comedic sidekick as he is so deadpan funny!!.............
I am loving your descent down the rabbit hole, your reaction videos are all great with insightful comments and genuine reactions... I have liked and subscribed as your community is one I feel is worth joining... the two of you are youtubers who actually deserve praise for your content... Thank you!!

2:33 FIRST PERSON EVER WE STAAAN
yeah, usually people say they look the same. I couldn't believe my ears and eyes when she said that! 🙏
See now it's always sososo nice seeing people appreciate them because they actually do work really really hard and they're amazing. Plus it's also amusing because literally all armys can relate and then you see the reactions first hand and you're like "oh yeah I was like that too". And then you can literally SEE people converting to the fandom and it's like "oh yeah that one right there, yeah they're gonna convert to army".
J.hope dance teacher wonderful
J.hope J.hope J.hope J.hope J.hope J.hope J.hope J.hope J.hope J.hope J.hope J.hope J.hope J.hope J.hope J.hope So Beautiful and Sweet. 💕
