Just found your video, fantastic to watch such a great video. I’ve been to these areas every year in the fall. I’ve learned about the trappers and early explorers on the area. “the Crooked river rats” is one book that’s an excellent read. I really enjoyed this video! Cheers.
@@DrivenToXplore tried to answer a few times but my comment keeps disappearing. its super shallow. once you are in the arctic creek you have to stay moving, the first dam is about 4 feet high. only 2 boats could make it. we had a 17 foot firefish piranha. coming back down over the dam you land in about a foot of water so shes a bit rough lol. we went about an hour further up the parsnip and it was getting super skinny. only the heavy built boats made it too moose creek.
Such a great place , I have spent many years and trips in Northern BC. One thing I just don't get, why do you spoil the outdoors with music on the boat and shore ? Doesn't anybody just like the silence of the north ? The boats are loud enough.
As a person who's never been in a jet boat I do have one question how necessary is it to go full speed I can understand needing to get over shallows and the beaver dams but I would like to know because I do want to get a jet boat myself to be able to explore rivers and stuff and to get to some friends Placer claims to do some gold panning and high banking
I am not a jet boat pilot, but I know when you are going through shallow water, sharp turns, and trying to get over or through things, it is necessary to go at higher speeds to get up on plane
Great video, well done. I'm adding this trip to my BC places to check out.
Awesome thanks.
My Dad was there in the fifty's, me in sixty's and eighties. pack to the parsnip, to the Pease. Just before the damn. Closed. Wtean.
It's a great place

Awesome! Thank you! We are lucky to have such great places to explore.
Where did you guys launch? On the chuchinka or the chuchinka arctic? Trying to find the right bridge to launch at. Thanks and great video
We launched at the chunchinka. Thanks for watching!
Let me know how the water level is if you are going this year. The Parsnip looks really low by the Mackenzie junction.

I would normally agree with you.
