Looking forward to our Second Broads holiday last one was 25 odd years ago. We’ve been pretty much Narrowboaters. Now passed the locks. We’ve been on 49 weeks plus on Narrowboat Holidays. The last 4 On the Lancaster Canal. Even taken a Narrowboat down Canal du MIDI in France to the Med. and Locaboats in Brittany. Toying wit the forth Canal in Scotland later in year from Falkirk Wheel. Into Edinburgh last time was the a tattoo
Unusual pronunciation of Irstead. There is no iron, at least it’s not as difficult as Wymondham, now that is a good one. We haven’t been on a boat yet. It’s always so windy and puts us off. The white horse at Neatishead has a sister pub the Lion at Thurne. Both do great food😊
Haha sorry my pronunciation sometimes isnt perfect i would have no chance of Wymondham! We did go to the Lion at thurne for some food and it was lovely. Thanks for watching
Hi yes we normally do a week, which covers the Northern broads. There is plenty of free mooring and loads to see. Horning Ranworth and Wroxham are favourites of ours.
Great video guys, enjoyed it, pronunciation and all! 💌Be careful with your mooring up. after 30 years hiring and owning boats, you made me cringe a bit at times! It's easy to get dragged in. Don't forget thi' life jackets !
@@Priorsontour Always something to learn with boats - for all of us! Glad to hear you are enjoying your boating! Consider doing a one or two day power boat course if you intend hiring a lot. It's well worth it! Enjoy!
Been holidaying there all my life and am now lucky enough to own my own boat there. Looks like you're all enjoying it. Great video, thank you.
Thankyou and we love it always have loads of fun, would love to own a boat on the broads :)

I adore the broads, hired about ten different boats over the years and now got my own boat although it’s not on the broads but hoping to change that 🙂
That's amazing how many boats you've had we would love to do this, where do you currently moor your boat?

Err-sted, not eyer-sted! We live and learn!
I've still not found the Pub and shop at Irensted! and I live a mile away 😂
The green and red posts denote port and starboard, they are they so you travel on the correct side of the river. Not in the middle
Thankyou that makes sense
Thank You I was on the same holiday 3 decades ago
We love it on the broads, does it still look the same?
It looked nice and quiet which month did you go
April and were back there in April cant wait
Highly recommend these holidays we as a family used to go every year to different boatyards I was only about five or six when we started.
Could not agree more we make so many memories every time, hope your still loving them as much now.
Haven’t been since 2002 not really fit for it now but fond memories
The teepees are the reeds they harvest for thatched roofs.
Thankyou makes so much sense

Hi, did you travel over a period of a week? Hoping to go next year but unsure where to start and get in the areas we’d like to visit. TIA

I was conceived on the Norfolk Broad lol and Iv had 3 boats now 😂😂😂🫶🤘
That's amazing and that's commitment 3 boats we would love to own one, might be one for a future episode!
It's def not a carving of a soldier with a gun at St henners Abbey, not if it was built when you said it was
Any ideas its a stunning piece of architecture
I would imagine it's a knight with a spear fighting a lion
How long before someone told you that you travel on the right on the river,Coltishall is a village not a town 😂
Travel on the right!! we was lucky to keep it on the water!! Thanks
Why does the little lad not have a life jacket on?
Good point
