The reason for POM (Delrin) wheels is the small amount of flexibility that assists smoothing out any damage/deformation in the v slot area of the profile.
The rigidity of the policarbonate wheels will transfer any deformation directly to the print with much greater accuracy (much greater is a relative term).
But wheels will always be worse than linear rails or linear rod and rod bearings in this aspect.
All contact causes wear, as all contact causes friction. The point is that all are good enough, depending on the reason one uses the printer for.
I would love to see a magnetic bearing. Imagine if we had N52 neodymium rails and N52 magnets repelling (both top and bottom and on either side!) to hold the gantry an Y Axis!
    That would be frictionless!

I have the same issue on a Ender 3 Pro, I'd wager that you have a bad bearing on you Z axis wheels. Roll the gantry up and down without a lead screw and you should feel it. Almost catches as if there was a flat spot.

You will see more of a difference if you fit improved bearings along with the polycarb wheels.

Good tip, Do you have a suggestion of Type or good quality?

@@3DMakeIt i dont have a direct link for the bearings as i got mine together with the wheels, from here: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/V-SLOT-SOLID-V-WHEELS-XTREME-DELRIN-DUAL-MINI-3D-PRINTER-CNC-REPRAP-CR10/283097788650?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&var=583503128005&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&redirect=mobile

I ordered the ones in your description and I don't know how standard bearings are supposed to fit in these. The wheel opening is 16mm and a standard bearing radius is 22mm.

I guess you used 16mm x 5mm bearings ? (Before this I assumed all bearings were pretty much standard)

Only after few days using these PC wheels, there's traces of white dust on the rails. The eccentric nuts wasn't overtightened, just snug enough so there's no play. The dust also appears on the sides where there's no eccentric nuts. Do you have this issue?

I have not really seen that. I will have a closer look at mine I have been using them for over a year.

i agree with vansien you can get a 100 pack of wheels with the new higher quality bearing and it those that really help with how smooth your gantries move.
the wheels just help with durability over delrin .
or ebay i got 20 set of xtreme vslot PC wheels and bearings for $1 a set including shipping,
20 was enough to do 2 printers x and y axis, not z as they don't move enough and stock are fine.

I would definitely lubricate those bearings.

I will add that to a future Test, Thanks
