@@RobinRimbaudScannerBut also, I'm badly hooked. I've been listening to it nonstop for the past six days. Sometimes my cat meows at 3am and I freak out, thinking, "Wait, is she meowing the 43rd pattern? Maybe the notes in 'In C' are more deeply rooted in the fabric of reality that we first thought." Then, my girlfriend has to pull me back to sanity by reminding me that this is what's called the Tetris effect, just the auditory version of it, and also it's 3am and the brownie I had before bed was a different kind of brownie, so the cat isn't really playing the 43rd pattern.
@@VividhKothari-rd5ll Brilliant! We are intending on releasing it on CD and digital one day soon too, so that will hopefully mean you can be more mobile with this too :-D
What a performance !!! ..and... How absolutely cosmic as i jus found out that an band we used to distro back in the days of Red Rhino Records/Play It Again Sam before it morphed into what is now Vital Distro...The Young Gods recently released their take of Terry's seminal work too. heh. NICE. You absolutely nailed it here, Robin & Co. Jus...ooowph. In yer ears and directly routed to your soul. Bravo. >Concert hall reverbed applause
A stunning performance. Well done to all those involved. Lovely separation of the instruments as well, it makes for a wonderful headphone listen. I'll be first in the queue for the CD!
To be honest, the only main difference here is that the use of electronics meant that a single pulse can be played electronically and someone doesn't have to press a key for 60 mins! Otherwise most of the instruments have been around for hundreds of years so about 85% this same kind of instrumentation that has been used since people first played music :-)
Thank you for the respond! There was also a "do the players feel /interact in a similar way as back then?" bit in the question, but I can see now that the set-up doesn't make such a huge difference. Have a nice evening!@@RobinRimbaudScanner
Right now, for the first time I'm creating a minimal techno piece for a dj friend of mine. I am not that much of a techno guy, but when I hear this, I know what I'm looking for in my own techno piece. Thanks for the inspiration! So, thank you Scanner, thank you youtube algorithm. You both seem to know what I want to listen to today.
How much darker and questioning this work is, performed sixty years later! Within the apparent sparseness of the score lies a remarkable scope for not just the spirit of the performers but the spirit of the age to emerge.
This was great, menacing differently.
Ah, thank you kindly. I'm super happy with our darker approach to it here too!
Such a strangely menacing start, then when the long tones come in its like the sun coming out! Love it, really different.
Glad you like it! I'm good at menacing sounds :-D
Brilliant !!
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely Wonderful
Thanks so much Robert!
Wow -
Two of my favorite musical things
Nice to hear that!
Love it. Aamzing performance!
Thanks so much!

Fantastic version, love the way it ebbs and flows, must be incredible to take part in
It was! Such a joyful work to perform

thanks so much. Can't wait for it to come out on CD and digital in 2024
Would be great to hear performers from the pre-digital age compare their experience with this generation.

I love that interpretation too! There are countless variations of this work. I must have heard and seen it so many times too. Thanks for tuning in!
