Just signed up @robin James. Have you tried the pacinos range. Matte, clay, pomade, creame wax. I use the matte. My hair is the same length as @alex Costa hair. And it does hold well but does not make it look like you got a handful of gel on it. You can still run you’re fingers through it. Try it out and let us know what u think

Thx for the review, Robin! I wear this product every day, and it took me 2 years to develop, so I stand by it! It won't work for everyone's hair, and that's fine, but for those with thick, unruly hair that want max hold, this is it. We've tested hundreds and haven't found anything that works better than the Forte Clay. Having said that, we're coming out with other products for other hair types too, so that's super exciting 😎Thanks again for checking out the Forte Clay - we'll send you the new ones when they're ready 💪

You're a great guy, Alex. You remind me a bit of my older cousin whom I've always looked up to (he's one year younger than you, while I'm one year younger than Joe from Blumaan).
With that being said, this seems very biased. "We've tested hundreds and haven't found anything that works better than Forte Clay". Yeah, haven't heard that statement before, and it's also very vague; how does it work better? If we're talking about hold, then I haven't really had any problems with products like Hanz de Fuko Claymation or Cavalier Clay (or some hair products that aren't clays), and Da Wax seems to be described as the product with the best hold even though I haven't tried it. If we're talking about ingredients, then the ingredients listed here sounded quite basic, and I'm already satisfied with Cavalier Clay in addition to being more tempted to try the products from O'Douds, Fatboy, Kevin Murphy, or By Vilain (the latter genuinely showing great results when it's been featured on "brand battle"). Nourishing hair? Well, I've already been satisfied with some products from my own country (Norway). The packaging and even the name of Forte didn't really catch my attention either; I actually think American Crew and Axe/Lynx do a better job even though I'm not a huge fan of their actual products.
So all in all, you're a wonderful guy, Alex, but I'm not entirely convinced to buy this yet

I can fill you in on the Alex/ ByBluMaan relation. We initially invested in the startup/ manufacturing portion. There's a lot that happened since the early days of figuring out how to help and where we ended. Long story short - our PD department (product development) assisted Alex with the creation. ALL creative direction in terms of product itself was done so by Alex. The byblumaan team helped with the sample creations and Alex gave direction for improvements/changes. I stated in one of my haircut vids where I showcased his product saying I have a small (and I mean really small) investment in the company. Things have pretty much split ways in terms of byblumaan's involvement in the future of the hairproduct company other than help from PD side which might be changing as well. NOTE - I'm writing this comment at 2:05 where you mentioned the rumors so I haven't watched the review yet. Basically, we helped to bring Alex up to speed on running a hair product company which is still in the early days. hope this helps!

Great video! love the honest review! I bought this product a couple weeks ago and have absolutely loved it! works really well with my hair. I'm currently rocking a shorter side part and it has given all day hold (even after going to the gym or playing sports), a natural shine (i usually hate shine products but this one is good), and it washes out really easy and doesn't try out my hair or scalp in the cold Canadian weather.

I mean if we're being honest it's a pretty not great product. Kinda reeks of a really famous youtuber slapping their name on something, knowing loyal fans will buy it. If washability is the great selling point, you know you're in trouble. Nothing against Alex tho, maybe it suits his hair perfectly and that's why he decided to market it.

I am really new at trying (decent) hair products - your channel is fantastic and love the content that you provide us - I love Alex costas channel and I bought a tub of this about a month ago - I didn’t know what to expect as it’s the most I’ve spent on a hair product - once the pre-styler is in, and the product goes it, the hold is fantastic but I agree - it’s a low shine, and completely matte is what I was after - I think I will take a look at the moroccanoil product you reviewed as that looks a bit more up my street, thanks robin 👍

I've been watching your videos for years now. What I like most about your channel is that it's informative yet entertaining in it's presentation. I as a viewer feel taken seriously. Don't get me wrong I don't mean to bash any other youtubers but I really don't dig this "I teach you sth" "tell you what to do/wear/say etc" vibe. Hardly ever feels like advice but more like a commandment. I am an individual and I want to be treated as that when I'm talked to even when it's via a camera and targeted to a bigger audiance. And you do that quite well just by being authentic. I like the way you articulate yourself and present the product you are talking about. I get great information, personal counsel and still feel free to decide for myself without being manipulated. Also I like that theres hardly any (???) "sponsorship". I know you need to make money and you could advertise way more stuff and turn this into some sort of shopping channel like others do and might even be more "successful" but the fact you prefer to make respectable trustworthy quality content is sth I give you great credit for. You really do come across as a very nice person so thank you for doing this. Have a very merry christmas with your dear ones and a fantastic 2020. Love from Germany!

My hair isn't quite thick but it isn't thin. I really like this product for my hair, however I always find it better when I use a tonic, hair elixir or oil before I blow dry and style with it.
I use it daily and my hair feels soft, but I most say that this review is dead honest. It does get a bit strands, but for me personally it's ok because I like messing with my hair and my girl is always playing with my hair to mess with me
For those who get this product:
My friend tried and didn't like it, but he has really thin and brittle hair. Before using this product my hair was dry and brittle but I didn't take care of it, as I used the clay I did pay more attention to my hair health and it has been working better for me every time I use a hair oil and the product

Thank you for another great review, Robin. People aren't lying when they say that you're one of the most honest hair product reviewers on UA-cam, and I'm always skeptical towards products from well-established UA-camrs in general, so it's good to have you here. Granted that I've bought the styling meraki and cavalier clay from Blumaan and watched a good amount of his videos, but he's in the grey area of whether I trust him or not, and it's his personality that I enjoy more than his information (I also needed to watch several reviews and check up on the ingredients before I decided to buy his products). I've also tried the Pete and Pedro putty from Alpha M. and been very satisfied, but I haven't bothered trying his other products and also think that the putty is nothing very special anymore (the putty was the first hair product I tried that wasn't just your average hair product on the high street, but my hair has come a long way since)
Based on the information given here, it sounds like Forte is just your average "heavy hold" clay with nothing special about it either. I might check out some By Vilain products in the future though since the reviews on this channel (and other channels) have been positive, and also because Emil and Rasmus seem like very nice and professional guys.

    • @Trashcankicker.
      @Trashcankicker. 4 роки тому

This is quite of a simple but confusing question.. due to the fact that it could be many things . Such as your hair product.. some hair products take hours for it to set to its finest form .. and also the sun plays a huge role .. if you're outside , the sun will melt your hair product such as wax or clay and so on ... your hair has better hold at night time because the weather is much colder ... put it this way, a lot of people ( including myself) hair dry our hair for high volume and then after we are happy with the results , we (i) change it into the cold setting and that cold setting will set and lock your hair in place ... so basically, that's what happens at night time but nature does the work for you ... short story short , this happens because of the weather of your environment .... hope this helps!(:

Hi Robin, can I know what product you use on your hair? This is great review because not every product suit every hair type. The founder should mentioned this product for which hair type, in my opinion heavy clay not suit for thin hair type. You can try the saloon guy product which is matt paste and matte clay. I never use but i think it will suit Robin you.

Lol I like how Alex has commented on the most obscure videos about this product from really small you tubers, but didn’t with this one because it wasn’t super positive. Also about a status you posted a bit back, ya I think it’s so stupid that blumaan didn’t send you the ascend volume cream, that product is literally made for your type of hair

I have fine hair ane have tried both of the products. Gold digger is probably the wax with the worst application ever. dynamite clay does the job a litte bit better but there is still a lot of tug and pull. another issue with dynamite clay is that after a few days of use it makes the hair extremely dry and gives this unhealthy look. By vilain is overhyped, these are not really proffessional products, expensive and overhyped. I am currently using baxter of california clay pomade and can recommend.

@@sebastiankita hmm, i already got the dynamite.. in last years i used quicksand by Hanz.. it was a really nice volume booster but.. not water first ingredient.. also my hair almost all the time looked kinda greasy..but the volume was really nice..

@@sebastiankita you we re right man.. i tried more days dynamite clay and seems worst then Quicksand..maybe is not for my hair type or my hair as is it..but i know is a product that give u volume and a beach hairstyle..but seems like my hair is always greasy..and not that great volume..kinda make my hair a little curly... i wished i had tried both travel sizes.. but i think Gold Digger was a better option..

Yes, but Ben Arthur has also praised Claymation by Hanz de Fuko and Dynamite Clay from By Vilain (so has Robin James), while Robin James was unimpressed with Hybrid Cream Clay. Ben Arthur also has way thinner hair than Robin James, so he really doesn't represent the average person when it comes to hair unlike the latter
