UA-cam is so weird. I searched a lot about hero guides and shit but none explained much, now that I don't need it I get the best video series (this) in my recommendations. fuck UA-cam though I am still watching this :)
I guess my concern is, the game you showed his team was VERY ahead, but in the games I play we are often VERRRYYY behind, I find it very hard to actually farm without being punished, tower dove, or my team getting pushed into base before we get big.
Yeah, that just happens on AM sometimes. However, I'd say you could win like 90% of games below like 4k mmr by just split pushing and cutting waves when the enemy tries to push if your team is very behind.
I'm still trying to learn AM cause he's my main in Dota 1, and I've been following this strategy by default in 1 and when i tried that in 2 i kept staying back at lvls and items. All my games with Terrorblade and Razor were wins but every game with AM was horrible, i tried farming only jungle, only lanes, and still couldn't keep up. Maybe it's the items but I can't figure it out
@@PanagiotisKotidis They’ve actually been slowely changing AM to the point where he isn’t really the same as he was when I made this guide. They’re almost trying to make him more of a lane dominator and they have been trying to change his abilities up in such a way that you don’t have to go the same build every single game. I think this has kinda hurt the old and typical play style a bit. But overall he still is great at farming fast and getting to this 4+ item timing where he is unstoppable. I think it’s just that these days he is very matchup dependent. It’s going to feel really bad to play against a bunch of tanks strength heroes no matter how many items you get.
Deffinitly not. It is too squishy and punishable, and u need to be a good in farming, which almost all players below 3k mmr are not. It is very hard hero. I`d recomend u if u are new player to start with hard support role, position 5 since it is mehanicly the easiest one . than try out other roles when u became fairley decent at p5. As from carry hereos try to go for wraith king it is the least punushable hereos so even when u are out of position u have extra life and mehanicly it is very easy to use. Gl, and don`t give up, the game is really great and intresting and strategic once u know all game mehanics like pulling agro, highground, miss chance on highground, vission, trees, wards manipulation, pulling creep camps, stacking, playing around rosh pit, controling area etc. SO I am sure u are gonna enjoy game, once u reach let`s say 4k mmr, or maybe even lower if ur game understanding is very good. The point is watch pro matches, listen to analysts, and yt giuides and try to understand the game first. u will climb mmr much faster afterwards
It's hard to say. The hero is very much about farming so you may learn that a lot but the problem is you won't really learn too much about when to participate in fights and stuff. I think if you want to play AM just pick jugg and go battlefury manta. It's a viable jugg build and the hero can be played in a similar way but is more dynamic.
Hard to say what you mean. I'd have to look at a replay to give you more specifics about situations. If they have good pick off and aren't showing on the map then sometimes you just gotta jungle or sit in trees until you know you are safe.
Why does fn go AC in this match and why does he never get a Skadi? In general how should AM prioritize his items? fn got a basher (not abyssal) and a satanic. Why would he take lifesteal over lockdown? These questions are also more related to just carrying in general so I really appreciate it!
I’m only from the 2k bracket but I play eldertitan a lot. The AC is a huge counter to elder titans aura, and in this game specifically after he casually died in 2 hits to the ET, I think he understood the AC as an early third item is very important.
So hard to find a real guide with verbal commentary. Thanks for this
I mean you are the most helpful guide i've seen so far and u deserve much more than the others for real man
Thank u
Really detailed. Patiently explained helpful stuff!
very nice video im really disappointed that this video only has 360 likes
Great video, love your commentary along with the video. Subscribed!
Anti-mage can take fights when it reaches 3AM.

@@Docwell Exactly that, matches with enemies over 3 strength heroes is a hell of a pain

New am video please
For a newbie player like me do you recommend anti-mage as my first hero?
(Sorry for bad english)

@@Docwell yes I liked it, and there is no questions, very understandable
what should i do , when im unable to split push ?!

satanic gives dispell tho
the dude with two cool wargraves use it mainly to farm, that's kinda sad honestly
Lol... in your AM case.. the enemy got no stunner
most pubs i get chainstunned for 10 seconds followed by silence or disarm etc.. and then the team rages "WHY DIDN´T YOU DO ANYTHING"
@@karonneevits513 yeah that's exactly why you shouldn't pick anti mage in that lineup
7.30?
@@Docwell oh okay thanks😊
