7k is a lot of money but I can save for one likely wouldn't drop the coin for two guns that are so similar. But I'm going to save and make it my goal to get the Pit Viper. John Wick for the win.
$7,000 for a pistol is rediculous. The movie made it $2000 alone in price. Having said that the pistols are absolutely amazing pieces and I believe Taran has great innovation if only they would release a budget friendly type of competition style pistol that competes with the price tags of companies like Stealth Arms that brings the reliability one would expect from Taran Tactical. Hey a man can dream can't he...
This is something I actually considered just the last few weeks. Had the funds that I could have got one of these, but went with the Platypus because I just couldn't make myself spend that much on 1 pistol. I can use that money and build a really nice PRS rifle and scope!! Want more quality pieces in my hands more than 1 really, really fancy one.
@@ChadKelly7 that's awesome I would love to be able to say that myself someday! But hey I've heard the platypus is gaining some traction even from the likes of competition shooters on UA-camrs. I think Stealth Arms website is top notch and their price point is pretty sweet! At $1800 I can almost get down on a payment plan 🤣
@@ChadKelly7 I just want something with quality.... when I rack the slide it's how they say "smooth as butter" a fit and finish so fine one can compare to wine. Almost an art form really. 🤦 I don't know what I'm talking about...

7k pistol... I'm reminded of the dialogue between Bruce Willis and Damon Wayans in The Last Boyscout: "800 dollars... for pants? Do they have a tv in them?!"
Highly quotable movie that does not get the love it deserves. It is my favorite Bruce Willis action movie, and my second favorite Willis comedy. The first obviously is Hudson Hawk.
The Pit Viper looks perfect for an original hero of your own creation in the Resident Evil universe, fighting alongside Chris Redfield, Leon Kennedy, Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield, Rebecca Chambers, and Barry Burton.
These type of competition guns are for pros or people who collect guns. They're not good for self defense because your thumb pressed against the slide can cause it to malfunction. They're super smooth have extremely low tolerances and very light springs. That being said I'd love to have one in my collection but I have a Staccato P with a comp and I can't afford anything beyond that.
Would I search for best tactical or best self defense pistol then? Versus “what’s the fastest shooting pistols”? Legit question. Just got into guns a bit and the algorithm is showing me all the fancy competition stuff.
@@transcendmeta Duty pistols is what you’d want to search for if you’re looking for self defense. These are what law enforcement and military would use.

Awesome gun!!!! 😻😻 If I had the money, for sure!!! Im a military police agent here in Brazil, one of my dreams os have a great gun like Pit Viper, Glock, etc.. But the price of them are more than my car and all the money I have in my bank account 😢
I ran a friend's Sandviper a while back. Was a very smooth shooting pistol and the color was very well done. I'm more of a practical shooter so I run Glocks.
if i have extra 7000 i'll buy this beautiful peace of art.. but i can't... super nice 👍👍.. a lot of peoples think 7000 was a lot for a pistol.. but i'm not.. cuz i know how a master mind work ..!!
Who is actually manufacturing these guns, since Taran does not have a factory on his range? Are they made by Staccato (former STI) like the TTI JW3 Combat Master 2011?
Outrageous price for any gun. Just because it has a lighter trigger and was selected for a movie. Tanfoglio stock master or tanfoglio gold match are probably more accurate any day of the week and hell of a lot better looking guns.
Most I ever spent on a single firearm was 17.5k for a pre 86 MP5 suppressed, with a few original hk 30rnd mags and a lot of aftermarket mags. Not including 2 tax stamps at $200 each. One for the full auto receiver and second for the suppressor. Class 3 guns are very expensive. But they hold their value on resale well. These handguns aren't class 3 of course, but for race guns, they're on par with others in their league.
@@Tinman69 I get it, it’s a rich persons toy. As a poor, old, disabled, broke guy, I’m happy to just get ammo at twice its once normal price. These things are pretty, they are fast, I just need it to work if and when something bad happens and for practice and fun at the range.
I wish I had $7k for a pistol! Unfortunately, that's far too steep for me, and it's much more feasible for me to acquire guns that are at most 1/3 that price. Maybe someday. Or if you want to give me one I will become a spokesman for life! 😅
3:10 aesthetically, Pit Viper is better in its “classic” look, as the optics on the Sand Viper sort of interfere with the lines of the gun. If I had to fess up 7 grand for a gun, I’d go for lines that will withstand the test of time
ofcourse pit viper because iron sights and color but otherwise in texas theme sand viper also good and red dot its fit even i dont like every red dot in every weapon

The Sand Viper's slide spring in only 8 pounds. Why is the Glock slide spring on the models 17 and 34 a whopping 17 pounds? Would the G34 function with an 8 pound spring?
What a beautiful look they have, they are both beautiful and probably they should be very expensive because it is obvious that in addition to good looks, they also have excellent quality.
Still cheaper than a wife, a divorce, and an ex wife.
Good one 😂😂😂
That ain’t no shit. Don’t forget kids and child support.
Finally someone who thinks like me😅
The ultimate MTGOW gun?
AMEN on that. 🍺🤣👍
Love the cut dry content. No flashy side transitions. Simplicity at its best with informative reasons. Gracias gracias!!
Thank you for the kind words on my review!
I can only afford the Darren Tactical Sand Crab
😂 🦀

Nice!!!!

I agree atlas and it’s variety of models hands down over TTI !!
Red dots are for men... who sleep with another men. Iron sights, baby!

Very nice, thanks!
Bad ass guns
I'm spoiled on the dot sights, so it's a sand viper for me.
Lets be honest, the advantage over a 2011 is they look really freaking cool. I think there was an STI costa comp that looked similar.

Love the copper finish.
All of them.
Based on the 1911 syndicate breakdown and I am looking elsewhere now since quality might vary quite a bit.
Me personally I prefer the look of the Pi Viper, But I wish we could add a red dot sight for it!
The Pi Viper, shoots 31.4 caliber !

Middle class civilian budget friendly lol.
Rather spend that 7K on ammo
And training.
Surprised they managed to mill a SRO on a 2011: the screw holes in the Trijicon footprint are usually too far apart for a 1911 slide.
Love my sand viper, but my Atlas’s rock also
