I did something similar with an RSF-650. Went up to 48v and 1500w. Been riding it to work and the gym, since it falls under the legal description of "motor scooter" in the state of Virginia if it maxes out under 25. Definitely beats having to fill my truck these days

What's up Edwin great work as usual! I know this is asking a lot and I'm sure you have better things to do with your time but I guess I'm gonna go out on a limb and ask any way. I just recently purchased a quad(Rekon 5 6s), the DJI goggles, and a RadioMaster TX16s couple weeks ago but I have yet to fly it because I'm not confident on how to set it up correctly in Betaflight. Can you please help me get it in the air by helping me get the betaflight settings right? I've watched a bunch of videos on here but I'm afraid to even try to fly it still because everyone in the videos I've watched have totally contradicting settings and none go into very much detail except for a few really old ones which seem to be outdated. If you can help I would greatly appreciate it but if not I totally understand man.

I'm so glad I found your video. I'm an absolute noob when it comes to electrics...but that plug and play feature will be a God send to me. I bought my daughter one of these a few days ago, she is only 6, but I can see she will soon be bored of it. The fact it barely moves and barely climbs a slight footpath as it is. I have a mx 500 razor dirtbike my wife found in someone's garbage, she brought it home , the batteries were shot , I converted it to run on 2 , 20 volt hart batteries to equal 40 volts , my 70 pound son rides it daily , gets over a hour of ride time out of a set of batteries, I have a total of 10 batteries so I'm able to always rotate batteries between the charger and the dirtbike, one of the greatest toys ever , I hope to one day own a sur Ron myself just watching your videos gets me so excited, I'm 40 , started riding motor vehicles at the age of 5 , now it's time to teach my kids to ride responsible and enjoy motorsports ,

I say next up on the upgrade list is brakes, wheels and tires, and suspension. For wheels and tires, I wonder if crf50 wheels would fit, along with crf50 fork and a disc brake conversion kit. And for the brakes, maybe some Magura brakes and rotors, like a sur Ron. And in the future, maybe some dirt bike handlebars. But it is all up to you.
I have the same kit. These definitely need better suspension and brakes. I’ve heard that handlebars make all the difference as well! As far as power goes. It’s got plenty after the E&C upgrade.

I'd say upgrade suspension and go a lil bigger tires and it will be unstoppable. Definitely be worth it

The kit would be perfect to put in real pit bike with a blown motor. Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki etc. looks like so much fun! I’m just wondering how long that razor will hold up, the rims, suspension, welds on the frame etc.

@@EdwinOlding no way! This company is awesome. I’m totally going to build an electric motorcycle this winter. Debating if I should use my 81 cb650 and convert that into a badass electric tracker/scrambler/cafe or keep the original motor in that and buy like a midsize older dirt bike. I want something fun and as fast and powerful as the 72v surron you have with the bac 8000 to ride around town and commute to work on.
Do you think buying the sur Ron motor, 72v battery and a bac 8000 is a good option financially. Or is there anything on this website that offers the same amount of power for a better price in a package. I want to run at least 14kw

where did you mount the speed controller on the SX500? I see they use the 2nd tray for the 650

it's on sale on amazon for literally 549 USD and it's a Prime vendor. The link is solid, that's cheaper than the Razor mini-moto/grom knock off - and you get knobbies already installed. :-)
I almost did it, but I have a couple other EV projects ahead of this, even with the drop in kit I still don't want to bump them, my bandwidth is already limited (like everyone's).
But there's no risk - for a 6kW/72V ride of any sort for under 4k USD I wouldn't see a problem flipping it if you didn't want it after all. I could sell several of the rebuilds for 3k USD + shipping if I had the cash and the time to deal with it, but I'm already funded so someone else can take that idea and run with it.

@@EdwinOlding I have an old KTM 50 that would be great but I don't have the fab skills.
So just some upgrades. I'd definitely recommend hydraulic brakes. Preferably zoom's, there cost effective. And upgrade to 160mm rotors with the brakes.

Got the72v kit hooked up but chargers led indicator isn't being very descriptive. The green pulse is now gone .. 🤔

The 650 is only about $150 more and it has 16 in front tires 14-in back and goes a little bit quicker 17 mph

Nice bike I've been looking for a used sx500 or mx650 razor but I can only find little 350 razors but I built one with a 1200w system and it was ok but not enough so I found a razor pocket mod and built a 20ah 60v 60a continuously and 120a max battery with a BOMA 3000w motor and 42a controller that I shunt modded to around 65-70a and it rips hard with mid range gearing it has a top speed of around 35mph.
Edit: I have now found a razor mx500 and swapped out everything from the pocket mod to it and it's very fun but I have bigger plans for it including a 18s or 20s spim08hp lipo battery pack that can deliver up to 200a discharge and I'm going to shunt the controller to around 100-120a for a 7500-10k watt beast!
Not gonna lie, Kinda interested in that pocket mod build.

I was checking out all the different kids they have they are really expensive and better off going with a $3,000 w motor kit and buying a separate 72 volt battery I think I'm going 2000 Watts with a 2000 lot battery it's only about 600 and $50 batteries are too damn expensive but it's the good kind living on lithium LOL
I got a 24v mini pocket bike. I know this kit wouldn't work but do you have any suggestions on how I can beef it up. Not looking for much more than 20/25mph, but gearing for more torque would be nice. Thanks
