Just a note on sleep from my experience. By 1 year old they should be eating/drinking enough in the day that they don’t need to wake for feeds at night, so he probably isn’t waking because he’s hungry even if your supply is lower, it’s more likely he’s waking for comfort and the feeding is just an easy way of giving it. My youngest has just turned 3 and still regularly wakes in the night for a cuddle, he has been a terrible sleeper 😂 regardless of going from Brest, to bottle, to nothing he still needs a cuddle. So I wouldn’t be too worried about stopping the night feeds, it might even improve his sleep as he gets out of the habit of waking for milk fingers crossed!
I would love to see what you get from the grocery store. That may sound strange, but there are so many different foods that are eaten in different countries and a lot the same too obviously, but seeing it would be fun! I know in a previous video you'd said your monthly grocery allowance and I and many others were FLOORED that you could make it off of that, so being able to see what all you're able to get would really be interesting in my opinion! 😊
I'd love to see as well :)
In terms of oryns sleep, I’d say it is definitely down to him sleeping at around 6:30. That’s insanely early, between 7-9 is recommended but 8 is definitely the sweet spot☺️
This was wonderful, thank you!! Loved getting to see kind of the rhythm of the whole week, that was great!
Spray some vegetable oil or olive oil on the hinges of the door and move the door open and closed several times, repeat until the squeaking stops. This way you can go about your evenings as you desire!
you can also get oil sprays specifically for oiling things like door hinges which might work better and have less risk of going rancid over time

@@brionyhall4250 yes that's the name! I couldn't remember it
Came across your videos again I’ve been subscribed to you for years since I was a teenager and as someone who struggles with bad periods your period vlogs were really comforting to me as I knew I wasn’t the only one dealing with horrible pain😌 I don’t get to watch much UA-cam videos now as my UA-cam consists of bluey and peppa pig thanks to my toddler🤣 but I’m so glad to see your videos again! You’re doing an amazing job with your son🤍
Re: multivitamins
Would oryn eat jelly? You could make homemade jelly and add the multivitamin into it if you are struggling to get it into him. Just make the jelly with a veg/fruit juice, agar agar/gelatin and the multivitamin.
Really loved this format. So nice to see a small snippet of each day 😊
Make the multivit into jelly/ice lolly/smoothie
Love the week in my life format! 🙂
I enjoyed seeing the week in a life.
That feeling when ur engorged and baby feeds is so good.
The pregnancy tests… take a photo of them in order so, if you do get rid of them or don’t frame them safely, you have the photo as a keepsake
The daily multivitamin I give my little one is thick liquid you give in a syringe and is strawberry flavour like Calpol. So might be worth looking at a different type that’s easier to give
I like the week in the life format, it feels more representative
I put my son’s multivitamins into his porridge as that’s always the thing he 100% finishes!
we had to give our girl half a cup of liquid antibiotics everyday for a week and OMG it was hard 😅 eventually found the sweet spot making "milkshakes" out of milk and honey, downed those without question!
I really enjoyed the week in the life vlog!
My son is 21 months old and it's been months that I haven't given him any milk throughout the night. He has his last milk (about 120-150ml) before bath (cow's milk).. And then only again in the morning after he wakes up..
I started just diluting it and then going to only water... But then he was waking for water throughout the night for quite some time.
But now his sleep is pretty good! Never thought I'd say that.. He was a very bad sleeper.
Loved this!!! And the length 😊
With pregnancy tests- create a wheel and place 1st ultrasound picture in middle. Make it art piece.
I enjoyed your Week in the life. I’d watch it again!❤️
8:43 Have you tried having a little sip of that yourself to see what it tastes like? Maybe it doesn't taste nice and that's why he doesn't want to drink it. Maybe a different brand would have a flavour he likes better, or you could think about what fruit juice or flavour of squash might complement the flavouring in the multivitamin and give him a vitamin-enriched juice.
Yes, please try this again if it's not too much of a hassle for you! It was really enjoyable!
You may be able to prechop and freeze onions for cheaper? Not sure of the price difference in your area or if the convenience is simply worth it! We all have our convenience items!
Also, does he drink juice any better? Might work for the multivitamin even if it does add a bit of sugar!
I enjoyed this vlog!
I loved the new vlog it was great, I think I prefer the weekly update and look forward to seeing your new cooking ideas. I love the fact like most of us mealtimes are a dilemma of what to cook and can I or can’t I be bothered. 😂😂 Super watch 💖
Really enjoyed this video ☺️
I mix my daughters multi vit in with her bottle of milk and she drinks it all fine xx
Interesting to heard they use dompardone for milk supply my youngest son (4m) is on this for his complex Gastro issues, gord & chronic vomiting plus other meds but dompardone is the one that's made a huge difference to hid quality of line so far xx
When trying new things like the lamb, you could always do half plain or with less intense flavors and then the other half with the seasonings and then try both... I'm sure you could always doctor up the plain ones with a sauce or something for yourself, if he preferred the more flavored ones. Just a thought. It really only takes separating half after mixing once with the base ingredients to hold them together.
You could try doing something like 2.5 tablets instead of all the way down from 3 to 2? I've done that sort of thing before
I don't think a lot of people know about pill splitters - so helpful!
yeah pill cutters are good
Lovely vlog 😊thank you x
How long did you have to take it before milk was established? I have Raglan is it the same? Im wanting to reestablish my supply
Enjoyed the weekly vlog style! Weaning mum here too, could you share the seemingly popular chicken burger recipe please? 😊
I didn't think babies need formula over the age of one, is there any reason you give it to your little one as well as the breast milk? I breastfeed my 16 month old but night weaned her a couple of months ago which helped reduce her regular night wakes. I often wonder if I'm even producing any milk anymore or if my baby is just sucking for comfort
You can mix the multivitamin in his porridge, that's what we do
I actually quite enjoy the ritual of chopping up a fresh onion for cooking but chopping garlic is the worst thing on earth 😂 maybe it’s because I have long nails and it’s just too fiddly but I hate it
Does he take yoghurts Bryony? I know he’s CMPA but some good dairy free ones out there. Sometimes better luck mixing multivit into a couple of spoons of yoghurt
I didn’t know that tablets exist for milk supply! When I needed to upper my milk supply I ate malt extract (I don’t know if UK have this) but I know there’s some herbal teas too. Malt extract did wonders for me!
A bit more good fats in your diet can help too
Also oatmeal! Idk if that's the same as you're saying, but oatmeal does wonders for milk supply!
You must live quite close to me. Kington is only about 20 mins drive from me xx
I really enjoyed the weekly format of this and the length. As I've said before, I really enjoy other cultures and how things are done differently or the same as mine and seeing more of your routines and daily life through multiple days was a lot of fun! Thank you for doing this! It was a blast to see it all!
I love the WILD products.
How long will your code roughly last, Bryony?
I also shop online end of the month, it's much easier.. Or if I only need a few things, I'll get it before I fetch him from daycare.
I don't want to go to grocery stores alone with him.
I think you said a while ago on fostering that you always liked fostering babies. Do you wonder about how it will be when he gets older. I don't have kids.
I have a sincerely innocent question here... when you were washing the dishes, i didn’t see you rinse them off after scrubbing them. I've seen this in a few people's videos (usually from somewhere other than the US) and I'm intrigued by this. Is it not something that is done there? Here, the suds would just remain on the dishes and leave a residue I would think, but your's didn't even have suds on them. I really enjoy learning about and seeing the normal things in life from other places and cultures and this reminded me that I'd seen this before, so I thought I'd ask.
I by no means think that what we do here in the US is THE RIGHT way to do almost anything at this point, so please know I truly am just curious!
I noticed this as well and was wondering about it.
Probably because she puts them in the dish washer after
In the UK people often don’t rinse the suds off - no idea why but it never killed me growing up! 😂
Omg I thought you were putting peanut butter on tomato slices lol
try asking National Breastfeeding Helpline they might have some good info x
Could you give his bottle of formula before bed to hold him over maybe? And breastfeeding when he wakes from his naps instead of the bottle then.
Is he drinking cows milk yet? Evie only really has vitamins via milk as she can't taste them as much.
He was allergic to cows milk when he was younger. It took ages to figure it out, but he wasn't gaining weight because Bryony was eating cows milk while she was breastfeeding him, and the protein was transferring over to him through the breastmilk. She made at least one video about it, maybe more. In this one she just mentioned breifly the dietician and giving him a malted milk biscuit as his first try of milk since they found the allergy and eliminated it. There's just a tiny bit of milk in the biscuit but it's a way to try it and see whether he's okay having milk now. It might be a while before he's ready to actually drink cows milk.
