I appreciate this video well done! Just got the joystick setup to learn how to run Cat control (ISO) for an excavator. I am used to Backhoe controls or SAE. Thought it would be cheaper to learn virtally than waste time in machine. Great video!
I got the side panel for christmas, my wife loves me LOL. but I kinda wish I would have asked for these instead. They look like they would make the new platinum expansion ALOT more fun LOL. The single joystick is still leaps and bounds over Mouse and KB though. Thanks for the content

I've been looking into configuration of USB game devices for a bit and here is what I've found out: 1. The USB standard says the device should have a VID ( Vendor Id) and PID ( Product Id). It also allows for a serial number. The problem is that some vendors don't implement a serial number and I suspect some games don't look for it. As you see in this video, both joysticks have the same name. The only way the game can tell which is which is by the associated port number, where its plugged in. You have to make a note of which joystick is plugged into which port or you can get them swapped. The really frustrating thing with the TM16000's is there is a switch on the bottom of the stick which can be set to Left or Right and its setting is software detectable, somewhere. All Thrustmaster had to do was have the PID change depending on the switch setting, model names of T16000L and T16000R comes to mind for some reason, and we'd be golden. Serial number would also be a good idea. 2. You can do configuration in the individual game, as the video demonstrates or you can use the software that the device manufacturer may have created. For instance Thrustmaster has T.A.R.G.E.T. and Logitech had G-Hub. These allow you to program what the buttons do by making the game think it is getting an event from something else, a keyboard for instance. So if you can't bind an action in the game to a button but there is a way to do it with the keyboard, you use the manufacturer's program to send the same key sequence when the button is pressed. The problem is each manufacturer only supports their own devices and some games don't map all actions to keypresses. You also need to learn multiple ways of programming the same thing since the user interfaces are different. I will be checking out Virpil's software, it may support other manufacturers but I don't know yet. 3. Finally there are several third party programs that try to support some or all devices. The one I am currently experimenting with is Joystick Gremlin.
Just an update. Virpil seems to do something different. The software is used to update the firmware on the device. Essentially the buttons, axis' , encoders or what ever are mapped to outputs. I.E. Physical button #1 can be mapped so the game sees button # 5. Other stuff can happen as well. The Virpil software does "see" other non Virpil devices but doesn't do anything. You have very fine grain control but as far as I can see if you switch games you may have to reset the firmware on the devices. There doesn't appear to be any automatic switching of profiles when you change games. More to follow.
so i did exactly like you said however for me instead of all keybind inputs were on both side since i have both my joysticks on, went to play and nothing is worklng. any recommendations. i also deleted everything and only followed on what you said

on fs19 i'm waiting on mods for 22 and I can't get my joysticks to work I can put in the keybinds in using the mod but if I try moving the stick it don't move if you know how to fix it tell me or make a video about this
Hey I have the thrustmaster dual joystick setup. And I'm wanting to do excavating. I can set up in the game for Crane. But it won't let me apply buttons for the Excavator do I need the FDR mod for the excavator to work?
When I delete all the T16000M preset bindings and save the game it doesnt save them when I come back after reloading. Any idea how to stop that? They always come back. I've been trying to figure out why but no luck.
the only time I heard of this issue is to do with "steam cloud" google how to disable stream cloud for the game then it won't reload your settings, hope that works!
Well you cant get his mods on console so you need to do these controls but for crane binding. Also make sure your joysticks are for console because these arnt

I am just now getting into the logging side of FS22 and am wondering, before I mess around too much and screw up my game ( 🙂), Can you run a G29, Heavy Equipment Panel from Logitech and also a joystick ( I have the Turtle Beach Velocity One and also the Logitech Extreme 3D) or will the game go nuts and get confused? The one joystick on the equipment panel just doesn't have enough X,Y and Z axis's for all of the controls. Thanks in advance to anyone who can lend some advice/info and happy farming!
iv got some questions , 1. using this setup will it be the same when using an excavator? and 2. can u still have the gamepad inputs left " as is" to allow the use of driving other vehicles like trucks and dumpers for mining ?

I’m using the same joysticks and when I press escape to look at the map, the map scrolls all the way to the bottom. When I unplug my joysticks I don’t have that issue. Is this something you’ve experienced/do you know of any fixes? Thanks!
The throttle slider on the joystick base causes this. You need to clear all the bindings in the binding section for the sticks and set them all up manually to avoid unwanted behavior such as what you describe.

I guess its impossible to play FDR mod with keyboard controls then? Or atleast like in vanilla's controls wherein you can hold a mouse button and move your mouse in its x or Y axis
Do those controls work out with the stock machinery in FS-22 or do you have to set those up seperately? Also, does toggling the left/right hand control switch on the bottom of those sticks do anything as far as this game is concerned? I know it affects the input as far as the joystick software is concerned but I don't want to go messing with anything if it doesn't need to be. For now I only have one of those TM-16000 but plan on getting a second.

Where do you go to set up the controls? All my crain controls work fine for any equipment except for yours. It is like all of your equipment is under something besides crain controls. If anyone can give me some advice that would be great.

I know that they will work it’s just finding the right keybinds for each motion I believe
You would need to put the bindings into crane bindings

I just got mine in today, but I think he uses some rudder pedals. All I did was bind my left trigger with the directions to drive

I use flight pedals to steer but cant really use them for more than that

bunchers dont typically have telescoping booms so shouldnt be a problem

Ylthe cutting function is tool function 2 ,set to one of your triggers,to turn on and off header use function 1
