Years ago, I was hiking up that road wondering who the hell was scattering paint and shards of Jeep parts all over the trail. And somehow I stumbled upon this video today, answering my questions. Awesome video. 🤘🏻
What can I say; great trail, great scenery, great cinematography, great Gladiator performance, and great celebratory ending. Love it. Keep them coming.
Glad to see you enjoyed Massachusetts man, right about now all the leaves are red and orange and it's even more beautiful. It's so funny, I've been living here my entire life and I take the foliage for granted when in fact it's a phenomenon that's unique to our region
Wayalife if you are ever back in Massachusetts you should definitely check out Cape Cod is a large region of our state that has a lot of flat lands/beach area and it the polar opposite of the North Adams and Berkshire mountain areas.
so glad you guys got to get over to this one. as someone from this area it is a great little trail...this time of year even better with the leaves turning like they are. glad you all are liking what we wheel on :)
Thank you for bringing me on this adventure with your UA-cam channel when I can't afford to go on adventures like this it is nice to be able to watch it on UA-cam keep up the good work.
Nice to see you in our neck of the woods! OFR is one of my favorite public trails. Those Gladiators did awesome considering the long wheelbase. I'm impressed!
Beautiful place is like paradise. Your driving is perfect Eddie, you know at all times where to place the wheels and with what intensity to use de accelerator. Waiting already for another exciting and amazing video. Many thanks Cindy and Eddie for your magnificent work.
You've said it before and it's true, nothing stops Cindy from getting her footage ! Snow, rain, bears, dragons, flying rocks lol a huge part of why I personally love your videos is the quality of the film making. You guys need a black Cindy hat in your Merch with your logo and the words get your shot in white lol hell I'd buy that
Those trails remind us of where we live in Washington. Like you said the trees are different but the terrain and rain looks like home! Great video! And I love your attitude about you are not gonna drive that far just to take by-passes!! ❤️🐞
@10:00 I love how you can approach an obstacle with a plan, but in an instant the situation has changed entirely. There's no predicting rocks that slick!
I'm winching in the rain, just winching in the rain. Wow, your Gladiator handled OFR remarkably well. My hats off to Mel for coming up with one heck of a product. Exciting seeing Synergy do a little slip and slide. I guess they weren't synergizing with the rock. :0) Really fun to watch you all wheel on my local trails.
Great job Eddy, you know how to go over the big rocks with your Gladiator EVO, super! It looks like it is better than the JL’s in the group! 🇳🇱❤️🇺🇸✌️🥇💪💪💪💪
The longer wheel base of the Gladiator was a negative in terms of getting around trees but a positive in terms of climbs. With EVO suspension, UD60 axles and 40" Nittos, it got the job done for sure.
The JT's are bad @ss!... All the Jeep's were Rock Stars, but I love how you and others on the trail/trip prove the JT's can wheel with the best... Great Vid Eddie and Cindy... The cinematographer is spectacular!
I won't lie, there were times when I had my doubts but time and time again, the JT's proved themselves to be formidable on the trail. Granted, they were all running UD60's, 40" Nitto's and of course, EVO suspension systems. Oh, Cindy is flattered with your kind words :)
WOW again! Another awesome video! That JT is a beast! Still dreaming of my own someday! Guess I better start playing the lottery so I can take epic trips around this great country! As always, keep up the great videos!
Sure am glad your showing how the gladiator can’t off road 😂😂😂😂 awesome job to all An Mel at evo an his crew make some outstanding builds hats off to Mel an awesome job on your off road experience you make it look easy be cool to see Cindy rock the gladiator great stuff as always be safe 👍👍
Awesome video. I have not done Old Florida road yet. I almost did a couple days after you shooting this. We were camping in Florida MA the following weekend and heard roomers of you guys being in the area. Did Old Military road in VT instead, which was a bit more tight and more overgrown. Either way, this area in New England is a hot spot for wheeling. Thanks for visiting and treading lightly
That gladiator is set up really nice, I've been wanting another jeep for many yrs, but just cant seem to trading in the truck, seeing how capable it is has me thinking about getting one
Really impressive ! Tires type and pressure, wheelbase, shocks are really important technical issues. Moreover the right direction and speed. Good job !
I did have my doubts but was pleasantly surprised at how well they did. Unfortunately, I think Skyjacker lost all confidence in their tires after the first trail we ran earlier in the day. Needless to say, they went around.
Old Florida Road, now that was a beautiful trail. Some good ledges to crawl up over. Even got to show the capability of that BadAss EVO equipped Gladiator through a good water crossing with those 40's you can beat your chest and scream, Snorkel? WE DONT NEED NO STINKING SNORKEL.. ........... yeah buddy. Good wheeling Eddie, CHEERS.
Great trails OFR and Mabell, Field and forest next? Wheeling in NE a bit longer I hope. Tried to run all these NE trails every year in my Tacoma on 33’s. I just got my gladiator a month ago and I’m looking forward to trails as a Jeep owner now. Thanks for the video it’s a big help looking at the wheelbase and visualizing how it handles over tight ledges especially ones I am familiar with as I start my build. Guess I’m going to have to go 35s to have a prayer of having the belly clear that first ledge. Can’t wait for your next video.
Wayalife “wicked” been a while since I heard that used haha I moved out to California about 18 months ago. Spent my first 30 years born and raised in adams mass
At least i can still watch your videos, while i wait for Uwharrie to open back up, so i can go wheeling again lol. Covid put a damper on it, sadly, but i still kept up with y'all!!
Ouch...The dreaded Wild Turkey at the end! Haven’t been able to touch that stuff since having a bad experience at UCLA seeing Molly Hatchet back in 79’. Lol
Unfortunately, she did not and got soaked to the bone. So did her camera and for the next couple of days, she resorted to filming with her iPhone. The camera eventually dried out and started working again.
Ok, I've lived all of my 45 years here in massholia and I havent got the first damn clue where you guys are. Lol Must be out near the NY border. Sorry about the rain.

Manual hubs are old school and really, you only find them on 1-ton axles like Dana UD60s these days. The JL's and JT's do come with a FAD and that kind of does the same thing but not exactly. Basically, with the hubs unlocked, your front shafts will not spin.

Hard to say for sure being that I've only run Cooper STT Pros out here in the west but I have always found them to work well in snow and ice or at least, better than any other mud terrain I've run in the same stuff. As you can see in these videos, the Trail Grapplers did pretty well too.
If i wanted to do this in a gladiator, would i be able to do it with a manual transmission or an automatic? Im having trouble deciding what would be best.
While it is possible to do this with a manual, it's a hell of a lot easier to do with an automatic. Also, the all new 8-speed auto transmission will perform a LOT better. I should note, I love driving manuals but for off roading like this, an auto is the way to go.

The back drop is awesome with the fall colors.
It really was awesome to wheel in such beauty :)
Wayalife I live in Missouri and love wheelin in the fall. Just out enjoying the colors.
The EVO outfitted JT is showing itself to be a bit of a trials bike ... Fun Stuff!

I am from Colorado and the color were super cool. That was fun
We get a lot of color out in our neck of the woods too but nothing quite like what we saw here. And, it only got better as the trip went on.
Nice to see you in our neck of the woods! OFR is one of my favorite public trails. Those Gladiators did awesome considering the long wheelbase. I'm impressed!

Tip notch as always. You are kinda messing up my whole thinking of building my JL. Now I may just have to get a gladiator and build that.

Super Super video
I noticed that most of the jeeps have 1ton axles.pretty expensive! But awesome
Yup, most of the rigs you see were running Dana Ultimate UD60's. With all the heavy acceleration required on these trails, it's a real testament as to how strong they really are. Definitely up to the abuse.
Great video thxs for sharing! Here's a rookie question so excuse my ignorance but what does locking the "hubs" do anymore, does not locking the front differential do the same thing in allowing both wheels to turn at the same rate? I am confused on this any info would be appreciated thxs all.

Great video, I'm impressed how well the Gladiator does on the trail. Other than the long wheel base, what are it's limitation compared to the JL?

👍👍 nice
The synergy Jeep sounds fantastic. Any place we can go to see it's build? Or any idea on what exhaust modifications have been made?
I might be mistaken but I think they're just running an exhaust delete.
Love the vedio you can see clearly that tires matter the 2 jeeps running ridge grapplers did not make it very well others that where not did.
Glad you enjoyed the video. To be fair on the Ridge Grapplers, they were only 37's where as the Trail Grapplers we were running were 40's.
Nice route!
out of curiosity, how much does it cost to prepare your Jeep Gladiator?
Thancks!
Welcome to real "slick rock". #eastcoast

💪🏻👍🏻
Hey y’all are driving over my shooting range
6:10 that step opened up , thank god there was no rock under otherwise it could of been a lot worst
You mean it's not supposed to do that? LOL!
Wayalife i don’t think so 🤣🤣
@@WranglerAddiction And here I thought they were cheating with a little side step assist LOL
Wayalife it will lift the belly of the rocks , this feature comes only for the gladiator beacuse of the long wheel base 🤣
Nice vid! But where did everyone go for shots? Only 4 guys?
LOL - these were the sole survivors of a late night. Everyone else went to bed.
I live in upstate NY. I am really interested to know what tires would work the best in the slippery rock conditions.
NOT Milestar Patagonia's that's for sure! Nitto Mud Grapplers did really well out on this stuff but they are loud as hell on pavement.
I am wondering if the Cooper STT pros would be a good option. I know you have run them on your JK. When the time comes, I am leaning to a JKU build. I really like the Nittos as well. Not sure if one has an edge over the other in the north east.
I love the content you and your wife put up! Please don’t stop.
Hard to say for sure being that I've only run Cooper STT Pros out here in the west but I have always found them to work well in snow and ice or at least, better than any other mud terrain I've run in the same stuff. As you can see in these videos, the Trail Grapplers did pretty well too.

if by "wheel" you mean smashing diffs and sliders, yea man, that sure can wheel
❤️😍👏
Did you crack the bead ring on the drivers front?
Oh no, they're way tougher than that. One of the biggest reasons why we prefer running KMC wheels.
Thought so. It looked like a crack on video. Glad it was not 👍
Oh no, a scratch at most but that's about it.
