I’m trying to pair my focus pass to my phone. This is an awesome feature, however, I’m having trouble with the final step. I cam see and do all options on my car, however I need it paired to my phone ( that’s the point right? ) any suggestions ? Once properly paired, I can lock , open and start my car from anywhere in the world. My screen shows my gas gage, my tire pressure and diagnostics.

this new system lacks you have to look at screen for almost everything how is this safe they have remove some button controls like listening to your text before you pressed ok and your text was read out to you

According to the information on Lincoln's website, if you are using Apple CarPlay, you cannot access the MKC's onboard nav system. In other words, if you want to listen to downloaded music on your iPhone using the Apple Music app via CarPlay, it sounds as if you could not also have the Lincoln's onboard nav system running at the same time. You'd have to use Apple Maps, which consumes data. This isn't how CarPlay works on other vehicles I've seen. Do you know if this is correct, or am I misunderstanding something?
Also, does the MKC provide direct tire pressure monitoring data giving pressure for each tire, or just a warning light that requires you to check each tire to see which one is low?

What you said is correct. The CarPlay interface basically 'takes over' when activated, so to get back to the SYNC 3 system you have to close out of CarPlay, and vice versa. And in regards to the MKC tire pressure monitoring, I don't know for sure, but since it is a luxury car it probably is all 4 individual wheels. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the fast reply. I really like Sync 3 on the MKC, but it's too bad about the way they've implemented CarPlay. Both the CR-V and Tiguan allow you to have Apple Music via CarPlay running while still allowing you to use the vehicle's onboard nav system. I'm not sure why Ford locks you out from doing that, but it must have to do with the way they've integrated CarPlay into Sync 3.

I just bought a 2018 f150. If I have my apple car play on the screen, how to I quickly change back to audi like Sirius XM? I have to turn the audio off then back on to get to the screen with the 3 boxes. Or I can hit the source button but that will change it from SiriusXM (if I was using that last) to what ever is next on the list. I think AM. Annoying. My Chevy has the home button always visible.

charlandk use Siri, and your steering wheel, just say, iPod, Sirius, etc..and it will change hands off

I can't increase the volume of my rear sensors. When radio is on I can't hear beeps. How do I adjust volume

Hi. I did some research and found that the volume is not adjustable. However, most Ford's only play the sound from the speaker that is in the corner of the vehicle where the object is detected. So if the sensor picked up on an object in the rear left corner, then the sound would only come from the rear left speaker thus making it sound quiet. Hope this helps!

John Pinto when the navigation voice starts talking, use the volume to increase the volume. Hope this helps!

I was wondering why they are in the back where the driver cant reach them. I drive a Mazda 6 and i have two under the arm rest where they can be reached.
