The heat won’t last forever - this is only temporary. It will soon be an unpleasant memory. There are people in Cuba and many Central America countries that have never had any AC. Their temps don’t usually get into the triple digits, but it is very muggy and humid over there. People cool off by going swimming in the rivers, taking cold showers and by using fans - for those lucky enough to even have a fan and electricity to run it.
Moved to Wenatchee Washington in July 1975. It was 117 that day. While I won’t argue that the PAC NW is seeing a heatwave rn, it’s not like hot weather has never been there before.
Try living in Miami or, worse yet, Orlando. The bugs and overpowering humidity are far less tolerable, even though the summer temperature rarely exceeds the mid-80s.
That means you are used to and that also means the majority of homes have AC. in the PNW we are not used to many days of triple digit, let alone 112 degree weather. Also, the majority of people don't have AC, because it's rarely needed. Normally get a week of a heat wave in the summer where it's 90+. not much more then that. very different conditions.
A lot depends where you live in SoCal, Lunar. If you’re lucky to live by the coast and the beaches, it’s pleasantly cool all year round. If you live in the mountains, it’s very cool in the summers - they even get snow in the winter. Even the desert cities get very cold during the winter months. Now, if you live in Indio, Palm Springs, Coachella, Blythe, Palm Desert, Barstow, Baker and any other desert area in So Cal, summers get into the triple digits all the time, but winter nights can get into the 20 s. You can easily escape the heat in So Cal by going to the beach or mountains.

Not just water, make sure you replenish your electrolytes
Electrolytes, it's what plants crave.
To do this, just squeeze some citrus in your water or eat fruit like lemon or oranges, there's no need for anything fancy.
Sugar and alcohol can lead to dehydration too; stick to water, no soda, no alcohol.
Unless you do intermittent fasting, the food you eat should be more than sufficient to keep electrolyte levels up.

When are these "once every 1000 years weather events" going to stop happening every year?😏
Never. It's been happening to this planet for millions of years.
Or try _not_ living in Miami, Orlando, Phoenix, or any other place that isn't fit for human habitation without enormous energy usage.
It was in the nineties when I was there!

Oh no…..it’s hot 🥵…I unfortunately live in Southern California…….it’s hotter than a well diggers ass MOST all YEAR….EVERY year.
