- I'm beginning to clear out my stash of TV programs on my computer so for your enjoyment, I'll be uploading all the Match Game episodes I have. Do note that because I don't want Google Plus or any of their bullshit, I won't be able to respond to comments. Due to that, I will say in advance I will only upload these full episodes at my convenience, don't pressure me to upload a specific episode or show, and I don't care what the actual date was of the episode, what was on TV that night, or what the lunch menu was that day. Also note that these are from GSN circa 2011 so speed ups and a lack of fee plugs and credits are present. These notes apply to all future uploads as well.
That being said, this March 1974 episode features some unusual occurrences: Right off the bat, this week of shows was the only one taped outside of Studio 33; Brett gives a bizarre and grammatically incorrect response to a cow question (and earns a MOO from the buzzer guy); and this show also includes the famous Big Bad Wolf/"boobs" response given by a contestant.
Panel: Steve Allen, Brett Somers, Charles Nelson Reilly, Fannie Flagg, Richard Dawson, Kay Ballard
Okay, the question was read wrong. Then, the music wouldn't stop until Gene yelled for it to do so. That's an omen right there. To add to that, I love how seemingly well Gene was taking Valerie's answer until the panelists walked off. If you ask me, I would have to say that this is the biggest, baddest moment in the history of this show!
I loved this one
This was in Studio 41 ( the Red, Yellow and Blue curtains from "Tattletales" were in use).
Hee Hee Hee Brett got the cow buzzer and she says cut that out
As a child of the 70s I can confirm that Nabisco FIG NEWTONS were indeed a VERY popular cookie back in the day.
I still love them.
Classic... I love Brett, "I've never been shocked, appalled and outraged".
Steve: Well, its not nice to fool her. XD BUUURRNNN
This was the funniest episode yet
Brett's pretty annoying, but I still like her (wonder if Gene and the judges actually did)
Nobody thought 'Glass Slipper' would be the definitive answer?
Game show fact: This is the longest recorded laugh, with the "Boobs" answer in game show history!
Ohhhh BOOBIES...
What a great Episode and all in Clean FUN... 😁👍🏻No Thrash needed like today where you need to get a few thumbs.
This seems to be feb 15, 1974, because Steve Allen was only on two MG's feb 15 and feb 28, 1974 and Kaye ballard was on both of those episodes with him according to IMDB.
0:09 TRUMPET WTF!!!!!!!!!!
Been watching episodes of this game show because of HOME QUARANTINE. great show... But this Brett Sommers is annoyingly noisy.
