Harris Lake is on FIRE! -- Big Schools of Bass eat the Spoon. North Carolina Summertime Bass Fishing

- Went out to Shearon Harris Lake in North Carolina. I was suppose to go bass fishing with Flippin Krickets at Jordan Lake, but plans fell through. So that afternoon I decided to go the Harris. I am glad I did, the bass were schooled up on offshore structure such as ledges, points, and humps. They were set up off the bottoms; suspended 3-5 feet off the ledge. The flutter spoon did the trick. I lost count of how many fish I caught. I did catch one on the jerkbait, but that was it. The bass would not touch a jig, shaky head, or crankbait.
First time watching, loved the video man !
Dude slaying those bass💪💪
I was trying to!
I just came across your channel. I live in the triad I’m new to fishing with only 1 year of fishing experience. I was wondering if you know any good spots for bank fishing. Looking more for ponds
Good catchin, nice fish
Thanks mike!
Love the video!
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching
Lessss gooooo another video
I’ll keep trying!
All those fish were beautiful!!!
I can’t complain! Harris has some great fish in it

It was special for sure!
I really enjoyed your video brother… exciting and informative 👏

Love all your shit dude
Thanks man. I appreciate it
That looks like a lot of fun!
Do you guide?
I'm thinking about going to either Jordan or Harris this weekend...which would you recommend? Not really sure how jordan fishes in the winter tho or the water color🤔 never been to jordan.
Nice first casts dude! That’s insane
Greetings. I was on your website and was looking to buy the snapback trucker hat thats white and grey. Do you know when you will have more of that color in stock?
Thanks for your interest. Unfortunately, not for a while and I don’t have a good timeline. We’re only down a few left of the others. We might have to find another supplier. COVID shutdown hit them hard.
@@OneCastFishing No problem. Im gonna buy one of the other colors and ill keep checking for the white/grey cap. Thanks for replying back!
Im a bit jealous nice day out
Wish you could have been there.
Wish I could tell you how many bass and big bags I have caught off that spot right there over the years. Honestly, it’s not even the best schooling spot on the lake, but maybe the most underrated schooling spot lol.
im going for the first time in the spring
You mentioned showing what you were seeing on graph. Would love to see close up of what you are seeing on graph that caused you to stop and fish - maybe in future video(s). I am relatively inexperienced angler so putting a lot of emphasis on learning where to stop and fish and eliminating water which has been quite a challenge.
Graphing and learning how to apply it is a key to offshore summer fishing. I’ll try and slide more in the future. However, I also have several videos on sonars and how they work that might be helpful to you
What's up👊
I would love to go fishing with you before I get out of the army in 3 months. Maybe you could show me how to read a graph too cause I plan on getting a boat when I go back home. But I also understand if you don’t wanna fish with a stranger lol just figured I’d try. Great video by the way!
I can't catch over 5 fish in a year here and I live 5 min away😐
Lol. I’ve been there before. Some days it works out some days it don’t. Just have to keep casting
Hey Ben, I love your new videos and I hope we get to fish together sometime. Go OneCast Fishing 🎣 ✊🎣🔨
Will, appreciate it as always. One day we need to figure something out
Hey Onecast! I just got a bass tracker and would love to get on the water at Harris with you! I’ve been 3 x so far with only one bass of a scout. Got any tips or tricks at Harris? Not sure which coves are any good or anything. Still new to boat bass fishing
You need a stinger hook at the top of the spoon using a swivel and hook.
That’s always good practice. But I don’t always take the time to tie it all up.
Who are you trying to fool? Harris Lake has never been and never will be on fire for bass fishing. Duke Energy has treated the water so there is virtually no vegetation/cover in the entire lake. The primary purpose of Harris Lake is to keep the nuclear reactor cool. Harris Lake is probably one of the worse lakes for bass fishing in the entire state!
Wish you wouldn't toss those bass back so disrespectfully. They were quality fish that got stressed pretty good giving you a good go.
I get where you’re coming from but this isn’t disrespectful at all buddy
What spot in NC is this?
I live close to it it's Harris lake North Carolina it's in by Raleigh apex holly springs it's not a huge lake but a good sized and has a lake right next to it called Jordan lake
Harris lake just south of Raleigh.
