The main difference with the Modern Sonic and Classic Sonic shot is the shading, as you can see with Classic Sonic. That's nice detail into remaking the scene that looks SUPER IDENTICAL to it's original version
THANK YOUUU. I knew something looked a little off with the new animation. The new one looks like that sonic forces shit, they look like clay and so lifeless. Like they remade it with forces engine or something. It looks so horrible. Even shadow looks less intimidating, and more cute like.

not really, there is very tiny differences,the coloring is diferent and there are some visual problems, and the original one has different gameplay that is not accurate to the actual game and the quality of the video is garbage

Battles are 60fps in the GCN version compared to the 30fps Switch version (despite visuals looking better on the Switch release). Power Bounce was also nerfed in the remake since the 4th hit is frame perfect in the Switch version. That being said, the Switch version's translation is also different (supposedly more faithful to the Japanese script since the Cricket SFX badge was reverted back to the Frog SFX badge in explanation [among other alterations to the script]). I have both since each version has their pros and cons.

HDR. many game engines have a different color management systems compared to 10 years ago. even if a game dosent support HDR, the color management of said engines basically go beyond 256 levels of RGB (basically how HDR works). this allows the brightness of a color to be processed independently, which allows for flexible lighting. Both Sonic generations and Sonic frontiers (based on the graphics on the shadow sections of this version) are DX11. but there's a clear color difference between these two games.

Anyways, since I definitely want Gerald's Diary, I'm also getting the Physical Copy. I saw Gerald and Maria in the Shadow Gen trailer---Wonder if Time Eater's messing with Shadow's memories again by making him see Maria and hit him where it hurts, or if it's actually Maria's Ghost there to cheer on Shadow. Any case, I'm excited for Sonic X Shadow Generations to release! The 3 episode prologue was amazing, with Shadow's character being written PERFECTLY (thanks Ian!), as well as having amazing and smooth animation. My only wish was to see more of Gerald, but it's ok!

I figured out the cgi trailer for the remaster is remade classic sonic doesn’t cast a shadow his mouth is placed differently probably due to him being positioned slightly differently and which is why he seems to have a slightly different happy expression how ever the classic sonic model is the exact same one they used for the OG gens & forces for cgi
No reason this should be delayed. The game will look like the PS3/XBOX 360 versions. It’s already 1080 resolution. Don’t expect a graphics difference, Shadow will be an add on expansion story. So unless there changing the story, I wouldn’t expect to much. But I am happy Generations is coming to the Switch. However they should price it at $40 at launch not $60.
