Hearing Nino continually cal him “Brad Leone” just hits in a certain comedic way. This was gold!!
The subtitles being "Bradleyoni" every time was icing, too.
it's like Joey Diaz "Listen to me Joe Rogan"
I also love pizza so much that I have opened a UA-cam channel for pizza in my city 😆🇮🇹👋
95 times😂
In the Army there were some Drill Sergeants like this. They would be on your back the whole time but also make you laugh.
The accent. The tough love. The "BRAD LEONE". And then giving him ice cream when the tough love was a little too tough. This is peak new york and I love it.
I miss New York, haven't seen my hometown in years I need to go back
Please give nino his own show where he goes in and fixes restaurants and calls all the workers Brad Leone while he berates them, but then gives them ice cream at the end to show they’re still friends
Found the comment I was looking for !
Nino has some great one-liners here:
"Looks great if we were at Chuck-e-Cheese, Brad Leone"
"Fits in the box, and everything"
"Really easy to cut once it gets cold, right, Brad Leone?"
"Oh my god maron' á mia"
"Brad, how about some more stretching, less talking, how about that?
"I got cameras, Brad Leone"
"People love if the slice just fold over themselves"
the best of all for me: 11:00 "that's how you wanna live your life" while looking at his pizza 🙂
The fact that Brad can't stop calling him "Chef" despite being asked not to call him "chef" is hilarious
Probably a hold over from his culinary school days.
I do this too and bartend🤣 didn’t even go to culinary I’m just around great chefs often lol
I was hoping Brad would respond “yes chef” when he asked him not to call him chef.
Ay papi
I get told daily to stop saying sir and i go im sorry sir will do
I love how he gives brad a hard time but is very insightful and doesn’t take everything too seriously. Seems like a legit place to work.
he also gave him an ice cream at the end to compensate for the fails, that's a great boss!
So long as your personality meshes with that sort of attitude. Personally, I'd get a kick out of it and probably make some lighthearted jabs back from time to time, but my wife on the other hand would not be able to handle it as it's just not her personality and would take everything too serious.
I find his humor exhausting
If nobody makes fun of you in the kitchen, it means nobody likes you.
Brad is giving the dude a hard time 😂
Ninos banter with Brad is straight character building. Love to see it.
That owner should have a show. He is Knowledgeable and hilarious 🤣👌🏻
As much as I like Nino, I feel like a couple episodes and it’ll get tired.
Nino calling him Brad Leone the whole time had me rolling 🤣
And the closed captioning said Bradleyoni 😂
like joey diaz talking to joe rogan
has a serious "I'm watching you wazowski" feeling
Bradlioni
@@urbro2 "Listen here, Joe Rogan, it was 1986..."
"Don't hit your head, Brad Leone, you fricken big galoot." Had me on the FLOOR. 😂
No it didn't
Nino is behaving very well because he's on camera 😂 😂
Brad is by far the best thing at BA! You have a gem, don’t ever lose him.
...by far.
Nah let him go, he is capable of many great things beyond BA. As a huge fan of his for years now he is better off with his own channel!
Totally agree!!!!
@@kylekennedy9212 he will eventually
@@kylekennedy9212 kinda like Jonny Harris at Vox
I know he's just busting balls but he definitely opened everyone's eyes to just how serious things can get behind and how much cost a new employee actually is
As someone who isn't american, this is what I imagine to be peak New York energy.
Bit more cussing but yah pretty close
This is no where near peak NY energy. Nino's pretty easy going for New York
Nino is a bit more gentle and complimentary than average NY.
(maybe for the camera - maybe because he likes Brad already).
Expect more cursing, a bit more anger, but the same amount of love as Nino.
As a New Yorker this is pretty average energy. This reminded me very much of every male friendship i have haha
americans pretending to be italian? yeah i see what you mean
I like his mentality about the flour. "I'll waste $27 worth of flour to get a good employee." And also, he seems like a pretty good boss - a hard ass definitely, but once you're in you're in.
This is a BOT! Spam message. Don't upvote it.
"hold this or else you're going to die" I BUSTED OUT LAUGHING
Those two are hilarious together, what a great sitcom.
Brad's having culinary school PTSD with "Yes Chef!" and "Heard Chef!" He can't stop himself.
Either that or he recently watched "The Bear" haha
@@juggalochef2399 lol im binge watching brad leone videos because of that show
Truly remarkable how Brad's back isn't completely messed up by now, carrying this whole channel.
I’d join a patreon for him, I don’t wanna support BA because he’s the only person I’d wanna support.
@@kylekennedy9212 Oof, what did they do?
@@Howitgoes799 racial discrimination
Then totally botched the come-back
And yet here you are.
This whole episode was great. Huge shout out Nino for keeping us entertained while showcasing how busy a day in the life of a pizza maker is.
"Why you mixing on my scale?" Love when they get roasted. BA should just do a series of chefs grilling Brad
BA, this needs to be a series. While it can be Brad most of the time, if you don't take the opportunity to throw Chris into a place then it will be a huge missed opportunity.
Absolutely! It would be amazing!!!!!
I doubt Conde Neste has the budget to do content like this unless it involves celebrities coming on for free in exchange to promote their stuff. The company cant even pay their own employees properly.
It already is a series, what are you talking about. They can't just pipe out a new episode every month
@@ronch182 Conde Nast is doing very well financially this year. And I doubt you know anything about how much they currently pay employees. It sounds like you are still butthurt about things that happened 2 years ago and have been largely addressed. Nobody should expect to become a millionaire cooking tacos on camera, but I doubt Brad and Chris would still be working there if they weren't rewarded well.
I wanna see Chris break and crumble. I recon he has a snapping point where he puts Nino in an intricate sleeper hold
As a guy who works in a pizzeria and has had to train many, many, many, many, many failures, Brad picked up the techniques absurdly fast. Kudos
He did okay for a guy who works with food everyday I expected better
@@dabbking His normal job is recipe development etc. which is a lot more slow paced and methodical than whipping out 30 pizzas an hour.
@@dabbking If you haven't worked with pizza dough before, youd be incredibly surprised the learning curve it presents people with. I had worked in a few kitchens prior to ever making a pizza and it took me literally 3 weeks to make one I was finally proud of. It has a REALLY steep curve for most people and then lots of ways to finesse it
@@Psykotischen I worked 10 years in mom and pop and fine dining restaurants and had a similar experience with pizza that you did.
@@Psykotischen yes. Making pizza is incredibly easy. Making GOOD pizza, is incredibly HARD.
This is the best Bon Appétit video since the scandal and shakeup. Please, make this a new Brad series!
When Brad is not the biggest character in the room 😂. Love it
Nino was everything I expected from the moment he opened his mouth and I couldn't be happier. He is the kind of guy I want to find running a pizza place in Brooklyn
Props to Nino for being an OG NY pizzaiola! He’s a gem!
That guy was AWESOME funny! "People love that when the slices fold over themselves"! "Yeah - Looks great if we were at Chucky Cheese Bradley-oni"! "Ive never seen someone look so good"! "Real easy to cut once the pizza gets cold right Bradley-oni?"
First 5 seconds Nino is on screen I already love his vibe. Stoked to watch the rest of the video, pizza's always a good time.
"Stop calling me chef it's creeping me out."
*Proceeds to call him chef for the rest of the day*
Finally, Brad is back it has been way to long. BA please make this a regular series I’d watch this all the time. I do miss the quirky edits though!
Brad has been in 4 videos in the past month. Some people are never satisfied. smh
16:41 Hearing a true-to-heart tough-loving Brooklyn Italian handing another person an ice cream cone, and with a deep & gruff voice, say "Thats Ube!".... it cracks me up & warms my heart.
The chef has so many funny one liners. I love him!
"Thats how you wanna live your life" hit me so hard
And also i learned so much.
I realized how much i need to learn to make a good pizza, not a "midwest pizza"
And i love Brad.
This was gold standard Brad Leone-entertainment!
This needs a spin off series with the tag team Nino and Brad Leone, we demand it.
Also I love how he calls him “Brad LEONE” the whole time.
The way this dude says BRAD LEONE full name everytime I love it
Nino is freaking hilarious, as is Brad! Thanks for this great episode ... and more of this, please! Brad seems willing to learn and it is wonderful to see a truly great boss (like Nino) train a new staff.
This is the most New York interaction I’ve ever seen
always a fun time with Brad & this was one great look behind the scenes!
Nino's no-nonesense taskmaster attitude with Brad was perfect... looking forward to your next adventure!
This guy is like a multiverse Joey Diaz, where things turned out much more pleasantly!
Well that got my heart rate up just watching this. He's a tough boss to be sure, but you'd learn a lot from this guy.
You can absolutely tell Nino's been making pizza since he was a kid. And he knows exactly how to break someone in when it comes to making great pizza. It's no wonder that his pizza place has multiple locations.
We love you Brad Leone! This was pure entertainment, and I loved the humor and Brad being able to take this love and hilarious criticism.
The chemistry between these two is golden. They should have a series by itself.
This is my favorite Bon Appetit video hands down. I was cracking up the entire time. This absolutely needs to be a series!!!
Take a drink every time he says "Brad Leone"
Or whenever Brad calls him "Chef" 😅
if you call someone by their first and last name and bust balls about something someone is trying to learn while they are learning it..... you have probably worked in a new york pizzeria
I worked at a pizza place. My experience is that I prepped most of the mid afternoon, looked down at 5:30PM to start topping pizzas and the next time I looked up it was 10:30PM and time to clean up
I love how he seems genuinely happy to help and teach
anxiety-inducing yet delightful!!!! nino and brad are so good together!
good effort brad leone. glad you're giving people insight into what it actually takes to work in a restaurant kitchen. people think pizza is easy, but it really is an artform to be able to do it fast and perfect every time. its a real juggling act, especially if youre also working with live fire.
This is one of the BEST BA episodes ever!!! Hilarious! I love the banter between these two. So good. You should do a follow up Part 2.
Their banter is something I see in British banter also
This guy was great didn’t give our boy Brad a minute off lol
love it why should he giving it straight
@@productionoutages it’s his livelihood, this wasn’t a studio lesson in pizza 🍕 they’re on the front lines lol
Watching with the captions on is hilarious. He's now Bradleyoni to me.
This HAS to be a series, I LOVE IT.
The synergy between these two is impeccable!!!!!
I miss this show
Watching this with closed captions is even better - 'Brad Leoni' comes up as 'Bradleyoni' when Nino says it 🤣
"I'd eat that!"
"That's how you wanna live ya life?"
I'm in *TEARS*
Dad helping you with math energy 😂 great job Brad!
the closed captions every time nino says brad leone : bradleyoni
Nino: dont call me chef
minutes later
Brad: coming in, chef!
minutes later
Brad: yes chef
yes chef
heard, chef
You can tell Brad just watched “the bear” haha
His old culinary school habits kicking in
8:45 "thas niiiice" why did I laugh so much at this scene???
Brad is single handedly keeping bon appetit relavent
god, nino was so frustrated with brad, so funny! love their interaction and nino's sarcasm lol
"Does drizzle mean something else in Long Island?!" 17+ minutes of Brad Leone getting his balls busted.
“…if that’s how you want to live your life…”
Just so much fun to watch! I’m glad I only have to make one pizza a week at home!
Loved listening to Nino...I used to be a drill sergeant and this reminded me so much of how I used to motivate trainees
This is crazy. Everytime I have a horrible, crappy day BA drops a new video with Brad. Thank you!
Its like "Whiplash", but with cooking
this is the duo we didn't think we needed.
BUT NOW WE NEED IT. MORE PLZ
I love the way he teasingly called Brad BRAD LEONE every single time!
Never been so hyped for a video
Wow, Paul Giamatti's really living his best life.
The constant "Brad Leone" was even funnier with captions on. "Bradlyoni" 😂
This is hilarious. chef deserves his own show
Bro best episode is 10/10 for real!!
These guys had great synergy I loved every second had me hooked all the way through.
Such good energy this whole video. Brad, looking great! :)
This is by far my favorite Brad in the Wild experience! Living and learning by doing
If he is like that with all his employees I guarantee that's one of the best places to work in the world. I would apprentice with him in a heartbeat.
This was the best episode in a while, laughed the whole way through
I hope to see more of this segment, I loved this.
Seeing you struggle was very humbling. Thanks for the honest + awesome video.
Love the electrical panel in a basement above a kitchen workspace. Authentic New York
More of this. More brad with more shop owners. This was awesome.
THIS NEEDS TO BE A SERIES! I LOVE BRADLEONI😂💙
I love his logic about teaching and the unconcern about the price of flour vs the rest of the ingredients. And now I am hungry for pizza like that but I am on the west coast of Canada!
Nino needs his own show! Great banter between him and Brad! 😆
instant BA classic
this is amazing please make this a series lol
Would love a series!
This was great lol. Super great chemistry between them. It's funny seeing Brad all flustered
I love how real this was. Great job.
Great episode! Love the chemistry between these two. Was entertaining.
That was a great episode. I really started to feel the panic with Brad. I think you did well Brad. I look forward to seeing where you work next
The confusion with simple calculations on metric system is mindboggling! 😂
Nino was EPIC!! Love this whole video! BL coming thru with great content once again!!
This was perfect. Great video
I laughed so much! Such a great chemistry between them 🙌🏻 please make more videos like this!
In the pizza business for over 20 years and worked at ton of places…you can tell this guy knows what he’s doing
The bradleyoni everytime🤣🤣
