I noticed all the Hills Brothers coffee cans everywhere. I have seen these 1lb. cans in every bottle and can dump in the Sierras and desert areas. I put ore samples in mine and note where it came from and the date. Thank you for all your exciting mining site visits and informative history.
We love going to Nevada. I would love to go exploring old ghost towns and mining operations. Thank you for telling the location so I may be able to explore some day. I realize many people don't want to reveal locations because of vandalism. But it helps people like me that not been out much find new places. Thanks again.

As you mentioned others have been there and went into the mines. One thing I noticed is not one person films every thing they see so chances are even though you may go into the mines you will film things others may have not. For example W. Well done dude. There is couple of channels that always act like they were the first to discover a camp or mine. They just took a dirt road and wow look what they discovered, really gets old.
Few years ago, some metal thieves drove up to the mill and stole a bunch of stuff inside, even broke open the wall to get the stuff out. I believe they were caught . The owner currently resides in Gold Point.

Thanks for another great video, I for one really like looking at old mining equipment. I wish you would go ahead and make a video of that mine shaft. I would also like to see the machine shop you pointed out. I grew up around mines and mining equipment in the 1950's and 1960's and as a retired machinist I would enjoy looking at any old machine tools you come across. Again thank you for showing us all of those neat places that I can no longer get to.
So many neat place to visit in Nevada, however, like many people, it is disappointing to see people vandalize and steal "souvenirs" just to be malicious. Great video.
Just found your vids, Thanks for sharing, I visited there some 50 years ago (yea I'm old lol) with our dad, we were not allowed to remove any artifacts back then. My dad spoke about mining history and then the condition was amazingly most intact and organized. Also the rooms were un damaged for the most part and offered shelter if needed so the scattered trash & bullet holed you see was done by asshats. Plus as you say there was a whole fleet of vehicles as I remember maybe 15-20ish... Cheers from Alaska

Without giving GPS locations I have been able to find places you've been to, when you point out mountain peeks or other pints of interest . One such place was in your copper mine video, found the mine on google earth.

I have been to the area many times for a long time. I know those hills pretty good... and there is still a lot of gold in those hills.... nice video.. I remember more vehicles being there also. I would have loved to see that in operating condition back in the days... That area has a lot of history, to include Jack Longstreet, whom you say Andrew Jackson Longstreet, and even Wyatt Earp was once in the area during the heyday. The Medicine Rock is also nearby, a famous native American meeting site. The Shoshone tribe used Lida as a camp for a long time before miners. The spanish mined the area before the 1849 gold rush to California. A lot of history around there. There was even a site the Shoshone would go to, to get away from the U.S. Cavalry in the 1800's, as the Cavalry would not only run the Indians out, but take their women. Years ago, I found under one of the old cabins a Nascar poster from the 1950's still in great condition.
Can't blame people for sharing the location when the title of the video contains the name of the place. It took 5 seconds on Google to find the place. Vandalism is still wrong though. Nobody should do that.

my understanding, they would look for quartz, iron ore-red rocks, dirt. there is a lot of different minerals gold joins with. so it could have been a # of things. including, luck, word of mouth. Jeff Williams has a great channel on gold.
I do like getting your perspective on the mines that you do explore. I DON'T want you to go into a mine that is to dangerous. I also respect your opinion on not wanting to video a mine that you think someone else did a great video.

I'm a long time off roader and get out to the Utah's west desert. Amazing the amount of vandalism that occurred since the 1980s, especially in the Newfoundland Mountain range and Golden Spike (old rail line) country. The Bureau of Land Management has blasted most of the old mines to keep people out. I'm not sure what's going on with our civilization. I'll take a "city slicker" camping every now and then. At night they want to make bon fires and make noise, never can just sit quiet enjoy the stars. They have to play MTV stars or some such goofiness,

I hate to admit it, but if I was in that area, I would rescue them just to get them out of where they are because the ones who don't know and who are disrespectful vandals, will shoot them full of holes. “Gly”: Early UA-cam abandoned mine explorers were quite irresponsible when it came to revealing names and locations. When I documented this site back in Episode 64 I changed the name slightly so it couldn’t be Google searched. Unfortunately, there’s still some selfie-stick hero’s running around on UA-cam without the same principles.
The two legged varmints have always been much much worse than the four legged varmints. Just look at the pollution on the land and sea with no end in sight.
I find this so interesting. I just wish you would pan the camera much slower. It cannot focus as fast as your eye can. You can look over a room in half a second but all we see is a blur until you actually stop to look at something. More than once I wanted to look at something so I stop the video but all I see is a blur.
@@rogersmith7396 I was referring to the original town from 1880s wasn't sure if they had any. Doubt those poles were around in the 1880s when that place was established. I comment as I watch and I did see the poles and electrical boxes later on in the video.

Great explore! Being a retired assayer i loved the old muffle furnace.

The two trucks at 0.49 are 1940 ex-Army Dodge 4x4 1 1/2 tonners. Originally they had cargo bodies, not flatbeds.

It’s very similar to many of the old gold mining towns in Western Australia.

For sure, trucks that rare really need to be secured and under cover to protect them for a restoration project.

It's odd they take the stoves but leave the stove pipes in the roof. They're kind of a set.
