- New Honda Monkey 125 Review but this time around, we're just doing a quick overview of some of the modifications installed on this custom Monkey 125 motorcycle that was styled to look like a chopper! Check out the New 2024 Honda Monkey 125 info, here: • NEW 2024 Motorcycles R... | This 125cc mini bike / motorcycle, is one of many new mini bikes that Honda has released over the last few years with a retro / vintage style as a throwback to some of their earlier motorcycles with the old school Honda Mini Trail, Trail 110 (CT110), Trail 90 (CT90) and more. With Honda paying homage to some of their other earlier bikes with the new Trail 125 / CT125 Honda Monkey 125, Super Cub 125 and Dax 125. The miniMOTO motorcycle lineup from Honda doesn't stop there though as you also have the more modern Honda Grom, that's sporting a 5-speed transmission (same as Monkey) instead of the 4-speed on the CT125 with a semi automatic transmission.

It looks so cool except for the paint, a chopper needs some flames lol. Definitely creative tho, I dig it.
lol right! What's a chopper without some flames mixed in there? But yeah, the paint definitely isn't going to float everyone's boat as it's pretty "out there" but the world would be a boring place if we all liked the same thing, so I won't knock it, even if it's not necessarily my style as you've got to appreciate what went into a build like this.

This build exemplifies the truly versatile palet the Honda Monkey offers. Customizable to ones wildest dreams and to the deepest depths of their wallet...
You couldn't be more spot on there bud! And that's true with the entire mini bike lineup from Honda, the styling directions you can take are truly endless and it all boils down to your imagination and... most importantly, your wallet lol! It's mind boggling at how much money can be spent on these bikes that started out around the $3-4k mark and it's not uncommon to see them have 3-4 times that much money spent modifying them, if not more in some instances. I'm all for it though and wish I had the bank account to follow suit with something crazy lol!

Yessir, a different paint job could've taken this bike down an entirely different path on the styling front. It all depends on what floats your boat though ;)

what handel bars are you running 🔥 also did cables need extended?
Looks amazing, but Im not sure why they went for fridge art for the paint
lol the fridge art cracked me up a little more than it probably should have! It's definitely not everyone's cup of tea, that's for sure.

I recently coined the term while looking at a Basquiat at a museum. It’s starting to stick haha
I'm trying to find mini apes like that but with more of a pullback bend for my Rebel 1100 for better reach. Do u have any suggestions? I want them with a wide 90° base like those so I can relocate the park brake to the base of the bars instead of trying to extend the cable. I have the DCT
Ahhhh... that's a good question! I haven't seen anything like that and people throwing aftermarket bars on the Rebel 1100 are few and far between so it'll definitely take some digging. I'll see if I can stumble across something though ;)

I like all motorcycles and custom builds. I have seen a lot of Monkeys that I like a lot more, but this is alright with me.

Unfortunately yes, I believe this Monkey has been ruined. I love custom mini-moto builds and have 2 myself but these color-choices are awful in my opinion. I think the best chopper style build for a monkey has been from Zeus Customs. They also built a chopper out of a monkey but did so in the styling and color-scheme that is way more universally accepted. I also think if you’re going to go up to that large of a front tire, you should probably start with a different/larger platform with a larger engine. Adding rotational mass to an already low-powered vehicle isn’t doing you any favors…
While I don't agree that it's been ruined, as we all have different tastes when it comes to bikes and art etc. With that being said though, it's not my style and it's not something I personally think "looks good" but more along the lines of let's see how crazy we can make this bike look so it stands out, whereas the builds you mentioned from Zeus Customs, are more up my alley. I'm curious, which one out of those Zeus chopper builds do you like the best between the Jaak and Talos projects?
lol yessir, when you think of a Monkey - a wheel size that large isn't the first thing that usually comes to mind but it's definitely an attention grabber for a show bike, that's for sure!

@@HondaProKevin absolutely! I really wish I could buy like 5 more monkeys to build custom bikes because I have many ideas.
As for the Zeus monkeys, it’s a bit of a toss up. I really love both the talos and jaak but if I had to choose, I think the jaak is just a hair more my style.
