Maybe this would help for you cause I had the same problem for the longest while my helmet was new and tight. But if you do get speakers, I think most people say you wear ear plugs to drown out the engine and wind noise, then just turn up the speakers loud enough to hear them through the plugs. Otherwise you’re gonna fuck your hearing
Quick tip: If your cardo is too loud or it get turned up looking over your shoulder then set the volume on your phone about 50-60% so when you’re riding it’s not going to accidentally get turned up and blow your ears out. If you need it louder then adjust one click at a time on the phone 🤘🏻

Genuine question. Why spend the $200 for a speaker system in helmet instead of getting some in ear ear buds like samsungs and u can hear music perfectly clear?
It's interesting that this is a polarising thing with bikers, lots feel it's unsafe to have music, and then there is a lot who belive that the pure ride experiences are had with little to no outside sound except the bike 😉
So, i purchased the packtalk edge because of this video. I installed it on my Shoei RF1400. Honestly, i am not impressed 😞. Im a huge JBL fan. I have their Charge 5 speaker and absolutely love it.
