I was pleasantly surprised to see that Valparaíso, Chile, had a trolley system. Glad to know that the trolleys are still servicing customers despite the lack of government subsidies and potential discontinuation. Thanks for the video! I’d be interested in seeing more in the not-too-distant future. (-:

It is the starting station of the route. The original, which was built of wood, was already very damaged and attacked by a plague of termites, like many old buildings in Valparaiso. That is why they replaced it with a trolleybus dropped, due to the shortage of spare parts. It perfectly fulfills your function: D. The first one, 709, is beautiful. Seems to be kept in pretty good shape as well. The one passing by at0:56looks to be Italian in origin.

The multiple funicular railways in Valparaiso are neat as well.
wow! those buses are the oldest vehciles on the road! 1950s, 1970s, and 1990s trolleybuses! I even noticed a bus turned into a building at 2:30.

Just like the ones we had here in Wpg exact same
I believe the "modern" ones (like from the 1980s or 1990s) are first generation Hess Swisstrolley.

Los trolles como los asensores le dan identidad a valparaiso
Hello! We ask everyone to help us save our trolleybuses! Thank you in advance
Do you live in Valparaiso, Chile? If so, is the Trolleybus network still running?
If it still works, the agreement made between the government and the Chilean trolleybus company will maintain the service until 2025.
