Hey guys, thanks for the comments. I'm Ray Fabi, composer of all the Arthur music. This specific tune is a variation of the very first music "cue" I composed for the series. My good friend Mitch Knowles is playing the acoustic guitar and it was recorded in the late 90's. Happy New Year all
That's so cool! You both did an amazing job with this one! I honestly love all the music you composed for Arthur, the cues are so catchy and fun to listen to! I have to ask, is there any way to find the full versions of every music cue? I've gathered quite a few, but most of them are far from perfect in quality. If you can't, that's totally fine!
Arthur did a great job of emotionally associating their music. Whenever this tune played you knew it was a melancholy moment, or when that one upbeat tune started to play you knew things were starting to get resolved. Even if you were a kid who couldn't understand what was going on, you could tell if it was good or bad depending on what was playing.
Mr. Rogers: I wondered where you were hiding, Arthur. Arthur: I think maybe I'm sick. In fact, I may be too sick to go to school tomorrow or even ever again. Mr. Rogers: If I'm feeling mad or sad or glad about something I try to tell somebody about it. Arthur: I just don't want everyone to think I'm a... that I like... I mean... Mr. Rogers: You didn't want them to think you're a little kid anymore. Arthur: Yeah... I mean, no offense. Mr. Rogers: Sometimes you feel like you're too old for certain things. Arthur: I just don't want people to make fun of me. Mr. Rogers: Real friends don't make fun of real friends. And your friends seem like real friends. They all seem to be concerned about you. Arthur: At least nobody at school watches the news.

If you want to check out an amazing episode of Arthur, look up Arthur Lost, where Arthur falls asleep on the bus alone and ends up lost in the middle of downtown. Great to watch with your kids, too.
I love that cue very soothing the boy who cried comets got great cues too the alien 1s and the start of the caves amazing the just deserts episode is amazing too
Let's all take a moment to talk about the incredible keyboard playing in this show. That is what makes the Arthur soundtrack so good. When I was a kid, I was always impressed by the soundtrack in this amazing show, but wasn't good enough to play any of it. Now that I'm older and a good musician, I have a much deeper appreciation for this music and I hope that it has touched others as well. All the music is nostalgic for me, but this is the one that takes me back to my childhood. Thank you for uploading this!
@@BenBreed-2007synthguy Thank you! I'm really glad you enjoyed the show and the music. Arthur was also a big part of my life! 25 years of work, and I had the chance to work with some cool musician friends of mine. I did enjoy composing some of the cues. I'm actually going through some of the cues these days, and a few of them are pretty darn cool! Take care
Lovely very sad though it played in Arthur and the true Francine when Francine got expelled for cheating could you upload the other sad cue at the end of nerves of steel when buster is grounded by his mum punishing him after stealing the cyber toy please
Can you do one of the fantasizing themes? There's a really pretty one I like where DW tries to befriend a deer and she imagines life with the deer. They fly in the air and she meets Rudolph. it's in the second season. The episode is called DW's Deer friend. i made my own adaptation of it but I would really like the original one. Plus mine is probably all wrong

Hi, not sure people realize it, but this tune we are referring to is simply an arrangement of the "main" theme I composed for Arthur.

That's what background scores generally do... They're not pieced together at random.
@@TaranWanderer2 some of them aren’t particularly good at it though.
@@martyjackson4166and Arthur did it right, the background scores moved the plot without being cheesy
Arthur music is some of the most emotional, beautiful music to me (not just on TV, but in general)
Arthur was the show of my childhood, and every time i hear this tune, it brings back a rush of nostalgia so beautiful
Throughout my life I never had cable. But Arthur is the one cartoon I’ll always treasure the most in my childhood.
When I was a kid I would always ask my parents for cable but now I'm grateful for having watched PBS Kids throughout my childhood.

This music is so peaceful
"Dad, Dad, Dad, why won't Spanky wake up?"
Arthur and DW's dad: "I think he's gone, honey..."
“Dead?” “When will he stop being dead?”

You really have to appreciate kids shows who decide to tackle very mature problems head on.
