You did a nice job explaining how to intercept a tornado, I’ve been playing for a long time for myself, and I even learned some tips from you! And for people who are new to the game, this would help them a lot, good job.
I had quite possibly my best chase yet when I safely intercepted the strongest tornado of my career. Only L I took in spite of that though was not having enough time to also place my probes and make big cash. One other piece of real life advice I want to add, going back to predicting how a tornado will move, is that near the end of their lifespan they'll typically take a hard left turn and speed up. I've observed this several times and this information has been useful in helping me intercept at all stages of a tornado's life.
It's basically the same as what is stated here. Only difference is that you have to rely on only the radar and polygons because you can't see a thing. If you have an interceptor then this would be easier, but if not then give yourself more distance ahead of the tornado to line up and maybe catch a glimpse of it when lightning appears.
In layman's terms, pray that it's not a drill bit, obviously you can tell the size on radar, keep velocity mode on, pray someone is using a dow for the 5 second refresh, and stay lined up with the tvs signature in velocity mode, not the tvs symbol
I always try to get someone who likes looking at the map in the passenger seat while I drive. For example in my video "AURA" I chased with NaV, and he helped guide me to intercept. I barely checked the radar that chase. Sometimes I'm in the turret, or doing the navigating myself though.
Use velocity mode, pay attention to the rotation and direction it's moving, adjust your position accordingly, don't pay attention to the tvs icon, and ignore the warning polygon
Love the video in all but like how do u get day all the time cuz when I play Half of the tornadoes never form and I can’t see it. Is there anyway I can see the tornado at night?
Most servers spawn in the early morning, around 7 to 10 am in-game. Some spawn earlier around 5 am. I never chase at night in my videos only because it compresses my video quality. I mostly play out the day and call my chase when it's too dark. I also talk about night chasing briefly in 'tornado death traps'
This is aimed towards people new to storm chasing and twisted, if your chasing style works then that's good! no need to change something that's working well
@@KiyruGojiEdits02@KiyruGojiEdits02 From my perspective, I'd like to prepare for the increasing demand for realism in the storm chasing-gaming community. Games like RTS and OUTBRK will push boundaries and require more realistic and accurate chasing methods.
On the map there are some wrench icons, they are 'Tomcat Performance' workshops. Once you arrive all you have to do is drive into the garage and hold 'R,' From there all your upgrades will be in the two tabs 'Suspension' and ' Body." Maintenence fixes damage. Hope this helps!
It's possible that you're putting TOO much distance between you and the tornado. Try staying with it as it dorms and getting ahead right at touchdown. You should make an intercept at near peak strength
Everyone is different if I'm chasing a cone or drill bit or sidewinder I use Dom 3 for quick deployment, if there's a big stove pipe or wedge I will quickly spawn tiv 2 2009/2010 because of the 23 second deployment speed and 235mph thresh hold.
Go to the map and look for a wrench (those are car work shops, you can recolor your car, buy mesonets, repair your car, change your cars suspension etc), once you find the wrenches on the map go to them and you should find an autobody shop
@DieftanXD im pretty sure they all give the same amounts, but you'll be best off with the largest-sized, cheapest-costing one (with a camera.) Not too much differences over all and it's definitely something preference based. Experiment!
Thanks for this tutorial you helped me to understand the storm and I almost always get some probes into half of the storm and now sometimes I’m the radar from some teams But I wonder if we could be friends and you could help me get some money or someone from the comments who could help me: name:dieftan
only do this if you want to miss 95% of all tornados. You basically have to get in as close as possible that allows placing probes (but not too close because high wind speeds will prevent it). If you put them super far out, you'll have a significantly less of a chance of getting any money from them. Only follow this video if you want to play "realistically".
I will admit that placing the probes down at the distance I portrayed in the video might be a stretch. My intended point was to spread out the probes so that you still get the high-speed winds if the tornado shifts. The distance at which you place a probe is very significant if the tornado is more on the small side and gradually gets less important as it expands. Also, this channel is an attempt at making a game feel 'realistic,' and eventually, I plan to shift to IRL chasing, so having these extra precautions will benefit other people who want to do the same.
For those who are new, the map at the start is to pick where you spawn: ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx3pglvPVdTLKF2dW0w9Y_i8SSKhSl6PYB

What winds did it have?
How fast were the winds?
That stage of the tornado's life cycle is called "occlusion"

Could you make a tutorial on how to chase them at night? I always struggle with it

At night use velocity mode, look at the circulation on radar, don't look at the tvs icon, and don't pay attention to the warning polygon

also dont forget, the tornado warnings tell you where the tornado is moving or it shifted
They aren't very accurate just use you're eyes you are better off doing that

Tiv 2 aesthetically and Dom 3 because it's easier to work with, all because of deployment times and windspeed so it's a tie
