Just a theory but I don’t think they actually got Doc. When it cuts to NPC after it looks like they have Doc, NPC is still super worried and that’s before Cub’s death message comes up. Also not that it really matters cuz *fiction* but it would make no sense to hack the robotic part that is controlled by the human side to then cause the reverse, only NPC magic stuff I think but that’s less concrete-

So, looking at some translations for the hidden messages, there's a many of quoting the lyrics for "I Can't Fix You". A song which is basically about Baby telling the dude that he is broken and there is nothing he nor she can do to fix him no matter what he tries. The last message is "this is what happens when you leave to somebody else, if you want it done right you should, just do it yourself" This line refers to how everything went wrong when he made robots to make himself happy. I feel like this is in connection to the story as foreshadowing, showing that doc is semi-controlled but he will break through and betray/ambush the NPCs since NPCgrian didn't do it himself with his magic, that Ioskall and Mumbot aren't perfect, and their little mind control thing isn't fault-proof.
Another one of the songs referenced is Blue Lips by Regina Spektor, which, among other things, details a realization that there's nothing else to look forward to. so this was somehow my first video from the snapshot au, and i started from the beginning just to try and determine why doc was being tortured and cub murdered. i've seen this episode alone 6 times now. its so good!
just finding this au now, binge watched the entire thing and then picked my personal fav to say this on. I feel like it would make a lot of sense if the grumbot from s9 was from this au. while not everything lines up perfectly, like grian is mayor in ssau and s9!grumbot def came from a timeline where mumbo was mayor, it has similar vibes and would make sense. it would also explain why so!grumbot is more advanced than the og, there were multiple other robots around to upgrade him.

So here's a theory: cleo and cub have been "freed" by scar killing them. I mean, if npg really controls them then she would have come back. doc and scar obviously know something, and notice how he stabs them: right in the middle of the chest. in many different things, that means the core was shattered and the machinery was broken down. but hey, that's just a theory, a snapshot AU THEORY

Another one of your videos that has been on reapeat multiple times! Like I said on your "Survive the Night" video, I like to imagine that they sing this song and others aloud. For this one I think they took it a little further and some of the NPC hermits played instruments. So we know irl that Wels plays drums so Helsdroid would have done that part. I don't know if any of the NPC hermits play electric guitar, so if any of them do they played it. If none of them do then I think either NPC Tango or Impulse (I forgot there NPC names 😭) should because it would look cool and they haven't gotten as much screen time as other NPC hermits.

Poor Doc, that really hurt me :( He eventually just gave up and that's just heartbreaking. But yay! I think that doc is only pretending to be turned because as others have pointed out he's already a robot so yeah Iskall and Mumbo changed some wires but I think all they did was just do it in a way he didn't shut down as he did in all the other attempts so I think he's just stringing them along and is either going to try and sabotage them or end up defecting back to the closet resistance. So that's my theory.
Gonna be honest I was so hype when Scar got away from Cub. I was flapping my hands when he killed Cub and then I literally yelled, "YES!" out loud when Scar opened the closet. As always your art is AMAZING and I am stunned you are making these colored and shaded animatics as fast as you are.

When it cuts to NPC after it looks like they have Doc, NPC is still super worried and that’s before Cub’s death message comes up.
Also not that it really matters cuz *fiction* but it would make no sense to hack the robotic part that is controlled by the human side to then cause the reverse, only NPC magic stuff I think but that’s less concrete-
Perhaps Doc is acting like he's controlled, if only to stop the pain. But maybe also because Scar succeeded in getting to the closet gang.
I mean, they have no way of controlling Doc. NPG has no magic, so even if they rewire his robot brain (circuit board?), his human brain (creeper-human brain? Idk what Doc is) is still in control

So, looking at some translations for the hidden messages, there's a many of quoting the lyrics for "I Can't Fix You". A song which is basically about Baby telling the dude that he is broken and there is nothing he nor she can do to fix him no matter what he tries. The last message is "this is what happens when you leave to somebody else, if you want it done right you should, just do it yourself" This line refers to how everything went wrong when he made robots to make himself happy. I feel like this is in connection to the story as foreshadowing, showing that doc is semi-controlled but he will break through and betray/ambush the NPCs since NPCgrian didn't do it himself with his magic, that Ioskall and Mumbot aren't perfect, and their little mind control thing isn't fault-proof.
Another one of the songs referenced is Blue Lips by Regina Spektor, which, among other things, details a realization that there's nothing else to look forward to.

I just realised something while reading through the comments. Grian isn't worried that it might not have worked all the way and Doc will change back. He's worried that it did. If the others can make new robots, they don't need him. He believes that his influence over them is as thin as reproduction. And now he may be obsolete. And obsolete hardware gets replaced.

i literally gasped and yelled “DOC NO”
so this was somehow my first video from the snapshot au, and i started from the beginning just to try and determine why doc was being tortured and cub murdered. i've seen this episode alone 6 times now. its so good!
just finding this au now, binge watched the entire thing and then picked my personal fav to say this on. I feel like it would make a lot of sense if the grumbot from s9 was from this au. while not everything lines up perfectly, like grian is mayor in ssau and s9!grumbot def came from a timeline where mumbo was mayor, it has similar vibes and would make sense. it would also explain why so!grumbot is more advanced than the og, there were multiple other robots around to upgrade him.
Bro the one thing that had been going through my mind the entire time was “Is it really that good of an idea to power down the robotic side of a CREEPER” cause bruh I was waiting for doc to just explode in their faces
I’d like to point out that these both came out around 2 days from each so seeing that she could do that in two days and with this quality including the fact that some of it is deleted from UA-cam makes this amazing

So here's a theory: cleo and cub have been "freed" by scar killing them. I mean, if npg really controls them then she would have come back. doc and scar obviously know something, and notice how he stabs them: right in the middle of the chest. in many different things, that means the core was shattered and the machinery was broken down. but hey, that's just a theory, a snapshot AU THEORY

Like I said on your "Survive the Night" video, I like to imagine that they sing this song and others aloud. For this one I think they took it a little further and some of the NPC hermits played instruments. So we know irl that Wels plays drums so Helsdroid would have done that part. I don't know if any of the NPC hermits play electric guitar, so if any of them do they played it. If none of them do then I think either NPC Tango or Impulse (I forgot there NPC names 😭) should because it would look cool and they haven't gotten as much screen time as other NPC hermits.

I have an idea for when they overthrow NPC Grian!
The Humans should use mycelium to jam the NPC's circuits! (Get the Resistance reference?) After that Grian could take the gauntlet and (insert way to make it work again) and snap everyone back to normal! Then NPC Grian would escape, but Jellie sneaks up to him and beats him up (For taking her away from Scar) and prances back over to the Hermits and they lock NPC Grian back up. (Optional ending of him turning to face the camera with the gauntlet in hand)

I think that doc is only pretending to be turned because as others have pointed out he's already a robot so yeah Iskall and Mumbo changed some wires but I think all they did was just do it in a way he didn't shut down as he did in all the other attempts so I think he's just stringing them along and is either going to try and sabotage them or end up defecting back to the closet resistance. So that's my theory.

Gonna be honest I was so hype when Scar got away from Cub. I was flapping my hands when he killed Cub and then I literally yelled, "YES!" out loud when Scar opened the closet. As always your art is AMAZING and I am stunned you are making these colored and shaded animatics as fast as you are.
