Once I listened to this while taking a niught-time walk down a lonely country road when all of a sudden a huge amber full moon rose over the pine trees...perfect.

reminds me of the moon's guiding of the tide of the ocean sea and rivers and how her light slivers were so close they almost passed through my fingers.

Total musical architect. Guitar, but I think he created an entirely new way to think about the guitar. Some of the best records ever made in any case.

Ribbed and Veined is such a beautiful track from Cocteau Twins imo, They don’t always need Elizabeth Fraser’s voice (which is beauuuuutiful btw) to be themselves. It is something about the soul of the band. I can’t describe my love for their music in words.

Esta melodía encantadora, magica, no se como describirla. Aunque Liz no suena aca, es la misma esencia de ellos. A veces pienso que Cocteau Twins son extraterrestres, o mas bien son seres elementales, como hadas, engañándonos que son humanos. Maravilloso.

There's something magically elusive about videos featuring the ocean and Cocteau Twins music. I grew-up near the ocean in Santa Cruz, California; so, I would wear my headphones and walked along the waves, but it's in Robin Guthrie's cascading rivers reverberating, that give the Cocteau Twins their distinctive sound and elusive mystique. I also love Robin's "Oomingmak (instrumental)", which is truly one his very few completely inspired guitar solos.
Please don't forget Simon Raymonde who orchestrated the bass and synthesized piano portions of this song. He deserves a lot of credit also. Even without Elizabeth Fraser, they are still fantastic and I still buy Robin's solo albums, just because I always yearn for this master's absolutely distinctive touch.
During their concerts, I'd try pay as close attention to Robin and Simon, as much I could, because it was difficult to do whenever Elizabeth graced the stage. She'd always stare upwards toward the balcony, focused on a single light, which only accentuated her distinctive icy-blue eyes and she'd gently rock her tiny body back and forth. These were self-taught coping techniques she'd use to avoid looking at the audience, because of her severe panic attacks and extreme stagefright, which she's talked about several times in written interviews. What people don't know is Robin and Simon also had horrible stage-fright also, preferring to stare down at their strings - Henceforth, the term "Shoe gazing", which eventually became "Shoegaze" were coined from.
There were a couple times I'd watch Elizabeth leave the stage and Robin and Simon went solo, but I've never seen so many guitar players on stage at the same time. Robin is a huge perfectionist, so he'd assign everyone small parts of a song, but your timing had to be perfect, otherwise the entire composition would start to fall apart, because the reverberations would collide in an awkward way. Anyone who's played an instrument understands this, but when done right, it becomes this ethereal cloud you'll start to float upon and go anywhere your imagination desires. It's like being on drugs, without the drugs.
I have only one request while I'm dying ― Play me the Cocteau Twins, so my exit will be from an Earthly Heaven into a different Universal Heaven.
