Actually insane that Rarran managed to win against BrotherCoco. That's the world's best classic druid player who got to bronze by winning so much in legend they broke the ladder and they looped back to bronze, twice.

When I think of combo decks for druid I think of the 7 mana flower chick that discounted malygos by 7 then malygos OTK you the turn after.
druid combo for me will always be the 7 mana 7/7 guys that deal 7 damage to all enemies
yeah I think like one of the 50 different malygos druid decks could be in there.
Yeah and I know it isn't better than Raza, but Mechathun Priest was the first deck that came to mind when I saw the video

Yeah, if the combo isn't an OTK or a huge turn that immediately leads into a win, then it's not really a combo deck.
His description of "you get a collection of cards for a strategy" is literally just constructed gameplay. That's not a combo, that's literally just playing the game.

I think I came up with a good analogy for separating Combo's as Rarran means them in this video compared to OTKs. all OTK's are Combos, but not all Combos are OTKs

Surprised he didnt choose an aviana kun combo for druid, could have gone with any of the malygos ones or star aligner
anyfin was my favourite deck. one thing i did that no one else was doing was put in redemption instead of the stealth guy to get the anyfin off way earlier. it also synergized with tyrion and pyromancer and a couple other cards
idk why everyone ran stealth, if you get that off anyfin it hampers your power so much

I wish we got to see old school freeze-mage. Reducing roaring torches, ice lances etc with emperor and OTK'ing them from hand.
my favorite combo is in blood dk - da undatekah with 2* moarg forgefiend + saurfang + sathrovar

Been watching you for a while now, hadn't played Hearthstone since Whispers, but your vids have gotten me playing again after all these years :)
For those who don't understand Rarran's standard for a combo deck, his definition is that combo is cards that have synegry with each other, like Firemancer Flurgl and Toxfin, and for a combo deck, the deck runs certain combo as their major win condition
I appreciate the anyfin version talk, because I dont remember this version AT ALL but I remember the otk version a LOT
This video was just an excuse to play grim patron warrior again and noone can convince me otherwise. Thx for the awesome content as always ^_^

I know this 4 months old and i watch it just to smile at the eveloution of otk in hearthstone. I wish theyd make a viable frezze mage deck again.
Mage for me had to be freeze mage from gvg. Don't know if frost lance still works the same but I hated taking so much damage and not even being able to counter :/

Shirvallah Holy Wrath Paladin was one of my favorite decks to play. Even climbed with it one season.

My favorite Homebrewed combo is play The Ungoro Quest then Rastakahns rumble quest. play an Augmented Elek with the Carnessa at some point. then you use tundra rhino>3 raptors>Hero power> face for 19. i built it control up to the point of the Queen Carnessa play.

Raza Priest used to have an OTK. Velen + elemental + Mind Blast + Smite + Smite was 12 damage from hero power + 18 damage from spells :-)
It was the best way to finish off other Raza Priests and fatigue decks.
Unfortunately now it can’t be done, since Smite doesn’t go face anymore.

Topsy Turvy combo priest was way too hard for me to play. If I'm remembering correctly it was only consistent for top 200 legend.
Watching this and when counterspell popped I went to click it away lol...
hey, shockspitter hunter, i just bullied one of those with my outdated as hell imp warlock yesterday!
Watching this made me think of trying to modernize shirvallah paladin. With the new legendary spell and all the recent holy support, along with the cariel hero card instead of uther, removal being more plentiful and cheap than it’s ever been with consecration, city tax, etc. and even more card draw than before, the deck theoretically should work

Holy wrath paladin with high priest thekal and molten giants + order in the court to stack the deck for 2 mana has been decent in wild for a while, popping in and out of favor depending on the meta.

There is a morgraine combo deck where you deal like 50 damage at the end of your turn
In Holy Wrath Paladin, I think the new card, the farmer that shuffles 3 copies of a beast that are 3/3 in stats be better than the banker? That way you get three copies of shirvallah instead of one
ah i kinda wish you did spectral pillager but even if it wasnt just a wild menace, its nerfed so you cant 3ven play it

I still get cancer from watching the Shudderwok deck. I remember queuing ranked at like rank 22 or something with my budget control warrior deck that I saved up all my dust for, and then this guy with the full shudderwock combo deck came in and ravaged my bootyhole. Turbocringe.

technically you could have used malygos druid or linecracker druid although those would not have been as entertaining for the video
