Mortal Kombat Metal Medley 1

I had to fix my dumb mistake about the guitar tuning. It's called Drop C, not C Standard.
Following on with my "Videogame Metal Medley" series, it's time for my favourite franchise: Mortal Kombat. I've been playing these games since I was a kid. And here I am, 20 years later, doing this.
It gives me a special kind of satisfaction having the power to recreate this complex pieces masterfuly crafted by Dan Forden. The whole process of going through each one of these and finding my way into the recreation of each track is a powerful nostalgic trip that I enjoy. There's so much going on in these tracks. Mostly in terms of percussion, with weird drum patterns and tempos, but also with disharmonies and unusual chord progressions. The ambiance that this combination of things is able to achieve is just... special. It's unique. And I love it.
In terms of musical direction, my goal was to make it industrial metal. Which is nothing too far from the original genre that defines this tracks. The only keyword added here is "metal".
Volume 1 is focused on the first 4 games, mostly mk2. But remember: As I said before, it can be from any game up to Armageddon. So next time I could include some tracks from any of the 3D era / PS2 era games. The character select screen music of Deadly Alliance was a big consideration I took for this first volume, but I decided to go with the "classics only" kind of approach instead.

The guitar tuning I had when playing the riffs on video for most of the tracks is Drop C. Some very specific riffs are in drop F#, like the one from The Subway stage track.
