Would not agree. Because women arent the only ones being capable of empathy. If the man who is preying is an empath and he only uses its empathy for his own good like a narcisst would, he could recognize it aswell and could react to it.
I think its more likely that they dont recognize it, because they focus on the girl/woman he preys on. They have a goal they wanna reach and dont care about anything else. The "preys" focus isnt on the guy tho, so she looks around for help and notices the looks from others - because the others notice, that her focus isnt on the guy. Also other women are more aware of these kind of problems than guys - because it happens to them more often than to guys - so they notice it more quickly. That is more realistic than "We women have a special communication skill" no gurl, that is not how it works. Technically we all have the same communication symbols in us - we learnt that from our parents and other peoples when we were younger. A guy can play with his (long) hair aswell if he is nervous for example. etc.
Just dont feel save because of the thought "We gurls communicate like that and guys dont understand" because that is not the truth. Most of them do understand (and some women dont). They just dont notice it, because their focus is somewhere else. And sometimes they do..
How do I know? I am trans. And I have loved to learnt about the differences of men and women. Honestly, there arent as much as some people think there are. Not saying there are none, but we make more than there actually are. Girls for example dont like pink because they are girls. It is a stereotype - in the past it was the other way around. Blue were for women and red for men. And the funny thing is: I am having the topic "communication" in my class since a few days. The only difference is the way the genders flirt. And even that is not much of a difference.

At the local mall I used to work at there was a creeper who hung out there. Any time he was around I’d always warn ladies to do their best to ignore him.
He’s not much of a physical creep, more or a verbal one. He’ll talk to any lady young or old like they’re his best friend. He seems mentally ill or slow, but after finding out about his past it’s not an illness. It was just how he was raised. Which was barely at all.
I’m just glad and lucky that he rarely came into my shop. Even when I was the only one there. But by the time I even had the chance to be alone when he was around, my boss had already used psychology to discreetly tell him that no one will have a discussion with him in the shop.
The only time he’s actually come in is when I have customers. Of course typically young women or teenage girls with their mothers.
I see him occasionally talk to the older ladies who work across the hall. And multiple times my one of my bosses, who is a cool muscular biker guy, has gone over and started conversations with the lady over there so he’d eventually lose interest and leave.
I’m lucky I’ve never had any bad encounters with him. But he eventually was banned from the mall (again) after showing some younger girl employees a video of a gang... well, murdering someone. Like, a real video from the underground that’s a private video that’s messaged around.
Yes, every year he gets banned. But for some reason they only ban him for a year. They need to ban him for life if he’s been banned for harassing people and been banned so many times.
He was also banned from target because he took a picture with the manager, which there was nothing wrong with that until he posted the pic on Facebook or something saying what awful things he would do to her.
He uses his look of disability to take advantage of others. People think he has a mental illness, but that guy is honestly very smart. Smart enough to memorize young women’s work schedules and catch them after their shifts, which is why he was banned the year before I worked at the mall.
I’ve even had this conversation with some of the ladies I warn about him, that even though he seems slow, he KNOWS what he’s doing is wrong and will do it anyway.
I feel like a lot of people will do wrong things even though they know its wrong but will do it anyway
