I'm a new mom writer to a 4 month old. I was trying to get back to writing. Kristen your video is inspiring. I feel like i can start writing again.

I've never been this early before! Beautiful timing. You uploaded the very second that I've decided that I have time to catch up on my UA-cam!

love the aesthetics of your videos and Ivy is so stinkin' cute! I know it's been a long time since you juggled writing and corporate job but do you have any tricks from back in the day for managing that balance?

love following both your writing & motherhood journey 💞 (huge fan of time blocking! great idea re: task batching, i REALLY need to do that more so I don't get so burnt out/overwhelmed!)

I can hear it already: "But I'm a pantser! I will not outline my time as well! Never!!!"
Just like an outline for your writing, folks, the calendar helps guide you, it doesn't rule you. It can change as much as you need it to change.
Time blocking (what we used to call just planning your day in detail) is what full-grown adults do when they have extremely busy lives, but planning every hour even if your life isn't as busy as a corporate executive. It's not rocket science. You did this when you were in grade school, bouncing from class to class, then back home, then to band practice or soccer. Yadda yadda. Now extend that to the entire day, morning, day, then evening. Work, play, rest & recreation, family-time and me-time. Fire and adjust as needed. Super simple.
