One day, the immortal Queen Mother Xi gave Hou Yi a longevity pill to thank him for shooting the suns and saving lives. Hou Yi was told, one person takes the pill can return to heaven, and two people share the pill can gain immortality. Hou Yi gave the longevity pill to his beloved wife Chang E for safekeeping. Unexpectedly, this matter was learned by a brute. When Hou Yi was away, he broke in and forced Chang E to hand it over. Helplessly, Chang'e swallowed the longevity pill in a hurry.
