That's life with so much to offer us! I'm Farooq Bhai's neighbor. His family lives next to me in Gulshan e Hadeed Karachi. I'm so proud that the guy who used to play with us in the streets is now a social media figure. Farooq Bhai I'm so proud to see you with such achievements in life. Aj bhi apke ghr k samne se roz guzarta hun, sb kuch wesa hi hai just as you left.
I’m a master’s student in Birmingham. My monthly grocery is around £100-150. This doesn’t include eating out. I don’t know how he managed in £18 per week. You just can’t eat daal chawal every week. I don’t see any other items like flour, vegetables or any frozen parathas/wrap to eat with. Incase if you want to just survive, it is good then but not for long term.
Yeah that's because he had done a very basic shopping just as you said that just to survive then it's fine...and also he said that it matters person to person like if you buy things which isn't much a necessity or just for your taste then that could raise your budget...
I recently (3 weeks ago) helped a student from Sialkot to settle in Birmingham. The cheapest room I found was £400 a month including bills. He goes to Uni by bus on a monthly bus pass costing £45 a month. In order to save money he only eats one meal a day (dinner) and morning just a cup of tea with a few slice of toast. He can only work officially 20 hours a week on a minimum wage and is currently waiting for NI number and bank account in order to start applying for proper job. A few local shops has offered him part time job on £5 an hour but working full 10 hours a day. His Uni tuition is £12,000 per year which he borrowed for first year and now has to work and pay for second year and all the cost above. Life is not easy as a student, you need a huge pocket to even start off
The tone in which that guy explained everything, is everything. Calm, logical, to the point, not riled up, easily sat back. Only if more and more people are like that.
Happy to see our content creators identifying the need to consider Purchasing power parity while comparing the lifestyle between citizens of different economies.
Hoooooly shittt damn man that's some knowledge which we couldn't get in our universities also if we want to overcome this situation instead of relying on government we must start doing a part time job which isn't a shame because early start is always a good thing.
He's already present on UA-cam. In today's day and age, knowledge isn't associated with universities, it's with an institution. Internet is an institution, a book is an institution, a video, and a course is an institution. As a matter of fact, giving him a job in a university will limit his potential. Now that he can be heard by thousands, why limit him to tens?
When i was a student in uk back in 2017 my monthly grocery bill use to be around £170-200 I used to live in Coventry. Btw farooq bhai I’m following you from samma TV days. Best of luck with your degree in uk 👍🏼
on the subject of software engineers earning 30k. that would be very much on lower scale. What i have recently heard is, IT grade from a good uni can get anywhere between 80 to 90k per month in KHI / PK.
you're right, talented graduates are earning this, who made themselves equipped with skills along with studies and they are hardworking. Our problem is we want 6 digit salary without doing anything.
Back in 2015 I was in the UK as a student.. Junaid bhai Believe me these prices are same then what it was that time iIl share you the invoice of 2015 of Tesco. UK mai Mehangai barhti nai saalon mai bhi aur yaha Pakistan main roz ka naya rate hota hai. Thanks to Imran Khan for giving us Naya Pakistan.
I think the comparison would be a lot different if you throw in the family expenses.Renting a 3 bedroom apartment and adding tuition fees will make the difference.
When I saw a length of video I think this is might be a boring video but hatts of to Farooq bhai that how he explained and give knowledge that we didn't get from anybody
It is very difficult to survive on minimum wage in London. Even if someone get a £30-40K salary, long term they will struggle. Farooq bhai is frugal and is sensible in the way he shops but realistically I would say a weekly shopping tends to cost around £25-30 for a single person. Also rents in London are astronomical, and sharing a room with someone is classed as sub-letting which in most cases is illegal. Overall the video showcased situation not far from reality, with a pinch of salt.
Ti us hisab k sath ap pass subways bhi to he.. Continuous electricity bhi he na..yaha pr to buses system khtm kr re he or light bhi bar bar jati he ab bache prhne ge k c.. Lectures effect hote he.. Or road me itni badmashi hoti he.. Bus wale bhari bus me bitha dete he.. I want subway system here.
@@ports0339 100%, to survive in London household income needs to be 100k+. One would still struggle to buy a house with that salary unless they have a nice deposit.
First of all, Thank you Junaid Bhai for uploading your type of content at last. I have no problem with your brand videos but we wait for good content as well. I think now you got a nice duo of intellectuals with Uzair Yonus and Farooq Baloch. I think this is the gold stuff in your channel. Thank you and keep it up. PS: I have no problem with your brand promotion.
I never missed a video of farooq sahb when he was in samaa money. great and very informative 👍👍 the good thing is ganji swag ko bhi economics sekha di jo hame apni maid ki car dekha kr jala rhy thy..😅😅
This will excite more young to somehow reach UK, as our youngsters don't think as you are describing the fact and not everyone can earn in the same capacity.
Junaid I have watched your videos in he past and must say I am always happy with the content you share. With regards to this particular topic, I completely disagree with Farooq's analysis of the expenses. Being someone who came to the UK as a student and having lived there for more than a decade now I can tell from experience that this is not how the expenses work. Firstly if you making an innovative analysis get your figures correct. He mentions 40£ monthly expense at 4:25 and then claims 10 hours of work, with 10£ minimum wage. Don't know where he studied his math from but if you earn 10£ per hour its only 4 hours of work to make 40£. Having said that its not as simple as just working for 4 hours and covering your expenses. Life in general is hard and you have additional costs associated with all this work e.g travel, rent etc. Secondly the application is good but needs mentioning that the groceries have sub types and when looking at full expenses they normally show in different categories of the app so need to sum up all those. Not to mention all this had to toiletries included which is the second biggest chunk of the groceries. Lastly please note that maybe its his personal choice or belief but would have bene better to cut the meat part off from the video as showing Halal meat then opting for other option just as its a cheaper option doesn't show our kids the right message. Hope my comments don't offend anyone but with all the good content you provide I believe this would help.
You're right about the math around 4:25 but thats a single mistake, the rest of his analysis was decent albeit he should've mentioned the actual expenses which are travel and lodging. As for the halal meat section, you missed it but he said "but I'll take this one" and took the same one, i.e. Shazan's halal meat.
