    It’s so good to see this version of Cody Rhodes. It’s such a glow up. He actually looks and acts like a top guy these days. Even since leaving AEW. He’s got a lot of class.
    Even watching him give the video package team credit was a truest class act. Not many wrestlers would do that.

    I don’t Watch wrestling anymore. Since the late 90s but I’ve always kept up with the news and I love the history. And I love this guy. I honestly think he could be as big as any main event draw. I quit watching most TV wrestling in the late 90s-early 2000s. Midaround 2005 I discovered indy wrestling when I lived in the city. Soon found a company called c4, went to those shows almost monthly for close to 5 years.

      @@gump5ter01 thank you sir, your story is like many others. I agree 100%. Rhodes (like many others) never got the push he deserved, despite this he was clearly a repetitively hard worker who appeared on a regular basis, and was always a joy to watch, despite having been given some very questionable gimmicks. His fans, like you and I, should matter more to WWE, than the ones that buy 'a fruity pebble t shirt'. Bring back the attitude era I say.

    What a perfect baby face! He legit embodies what a baby face character in the modern day should be. He talks so highly of his peers and puts everyone over around him by also putting over the overall storyline. Such a brilliant wrestling mind.

    Out of everyone currently in the business of pro-wrestling, Cody is the most honest, upfront interviewee. Emotion is what drives wrestling - and Cody is always genuine with his answers, and you get the impression he means every word he says. Because of Cody and his openess to talk about AEW etc, it will hopefully lead to more honesty and transparency in WWE where they allow their talent to be more candid and not treat fans like everything else and other promotions don't exist. Ironically, the more wrestlers in WWE are permitted to talk more freely, the more I want to watch the product! No point in pretending the rest of the wrestling world doesn't matter or exist. Great interview again!

    • @getreal2592

      This is perhaps one of the most naive things I've ever read on the internet ever. That's actually kind of impressive. I love Cody and can't wait to see him take the title off of Roman at WrestleMania, but let's not BS here. He is a consummate politician who carefully constructs every word he says in order not to burn any bridges. He is the exact opposite of being honest or genuine. To his credit, that's why he's in the position he's in. So I'm not trying to dunk on him, but I want to make sure people don't mistakenly get the wrong impression by ignoring the reality of what happened when he wasn't in WWE.

    • @brock1216
      @brock1216 Рік тому +2

      So he’s not honest or genuine because he’s a PROfessional wrestler who doesn’t purposely burn bridges and does what he thinks is best for the industry and himself? The dude had to leave WWE in order to achieve what he wanted to achieve and prove to himself what he’s worth, and he’s still on that journey now. When he left, there was some animosity, when he achieved what he achieved, he was welcomed back and had honest conversations with people like Triple H and buried hatchets. He’s done something that very few people have been able to do and that’s cause he’s a pro. If people want to burn bridges, or not burn bridges ir whatever you’re going on about, Cody earned his spot. He took himself out if the AEW title picture and those fans still turned on him. First you say, he’s careful not to burn bridges, then you say he’s not genuine or honest like you know him or as if he’s done something to you, just say what you really want to say. Wrestling is a business and sometimes you gotta go into business for yourself while wanting to entertain the fans and uplift other wrestlers around you. The majority of those in the indies and AEW say Cody helped them. How many have left WWE and come back more popular than before based on their own hard work?

    • @getreal2592
      @getreal2592 Рік тому

      @@brock1216 No, he’s not genuine or honest because he’s a kissass who has gone on back on things he’s said in the past, made false promises, can’t ever admit when he’s done something wrong and never owns up to mistakes. Anyone who has followed Rhodes over his career knows all of this and more. I didn’t say that makes him a bad person. I would do the same in his position. But putting him on a pedestal like he’s a bastion of virtue and not just another HHH? That’s BS and I will call it out.

      I don’t know why I even have to point this out to anyone. Just listen to the way he speaks in generalities and with vague wording. Its gonna be a top 5 wm moment ever and because of the two guys who will be involved I have zero doubt the match will deliver.

    The thumbnail completely sums up. Sentiment. We don’t even need to listen to the interview,Of course I’m going to because I love Cody’s insight
    My point is, Sami is way more over than if the rock returned. listen to the people going insane. Rock would draw hype for about four days and ruin everything Sami accomplished.
    If people haven’t noticed every time the rock returns he gets less and less of a pop.. every time Austin returns he gets the 98 ovation. Why? Austin returns when it’s right for the fans
    And his last return even though it was in a losing fashion he made KO look great. I mean really it was the other way around. But giving KO that opportunity, people saw how well he treated Steve and because of that he’s catapulted forever
    Rock never really came back and helped anybody. He came back and beat Cena. He came back and beat punk. He stole the Cena versus Miz spotlight.
    Now I’m not saying these were his decisions but he took the money to do it. Say what you will about Brock. Since returning multiple times for a lot of money he was the guy that really put a Roman
    He then went on to put over Drew. Put Over Lashley. He will probably return a heel and put over Steveson next.
    But yeah my whole point is Cody understands we as fans have the attention span of gnats.That is why Elias is so infuriating. He has it all and they keep pulling the rug on him.
    Hopefully he will work with Cody one day and maybe he starts getting into actual stories

    They're making Cody the Top Guy is to prove that his move from AEW was legit, and all the things he's saying are true will happen, so this makes AEW talent think he's not jobbin' and there is an alternative to AEW and VKM.
    WWE are definitely after MJF also.

    Indeed, despite Cody having to win at Mani against Roman which will be awesome Seth Rollins is super deserving to have another title run. Seth definately needs a good program soon, he could even be a baby face again and team with Cody. Cody will nonetheless, be red hot just as much as Sammy and Seth given a few months. His amazing! Great storytelling as well how it will all converge.

    As much as I would like to see Cody with a title but it happening at the same time as Sammy hitting peak and worth at least 85-95% of the wrestling world knowing Sammy deserves a title ( not a title shot but a title) One story is going to override the other unless WWE splits the title up and Cody takes the Smackdown title and Sammy takes the Raw title but as of right now I personally think splitting the titles up will demote both story lines... I think WWE wrote themselves between a rock and a hard place...
