    I've watched all things Cody Runnels related these last few months and I have to say that he's a really down to earth guy that only wants to better himself as much as possible.
    His talent is through the roof, his value of selfworth is through the roof and his love and passion for his wrestling and making people happy, is through the roof.
    I always loved his characters over the years, the Legacy Cody, Stardust, the smug Cody and now I absolutely adore the American Nightmare Cody is absolutely amazing.
    I look forward to seeing his character increase in popularity over the years and I hope he gets to lift that world championship, not only for him, but for Dusty too!

    I was so crushed when Cody Lost to Roman Reigns, I really thought he would be the one to end him n it would have been perfect considering his hard struggle climb upwards.
    think what makes Codys rise so good is that he has a legit long backstory of his fall n rise, his story is one of perseverance and he never stopped trying to climb up. He worked so hard n left WWE in hopes of growing n it paid off, it also helps that he has the looks of a babyface & someone respectable to rally behind through his personality n mentality.
    I think Codys return is something that represents the American values n dream well, the American belief is one that 1 can rise through hard work n that it would pay off one day, he is someone that fits the mold look of a Captain America basically n he packages himself so well in his ring attire, his choice of words when cutting promos, his upstanding personality.

    There’s something special about Roman. There’s no denying that. However, there’s something even MORE special about Cody. Cody can make you forget you’re watching fantasy. Cody makes you believe he’s really getting in there and fighting for everything. When he loses; you lose with him. When he wins, you win with him. He’s brought back the magic of pro wrestling; something so many of us thought was dead.

I decided to casually get back into wwe by watching wrestlemania 39, money in the bank, and summer slam. I still know many people on the roster and i’m loving all the new people as well especially LA knight. I went to this recent Monday night raw 08/07 and it was my first show. • @fighting1fefnir
    @fighting1fefnir Рік тому +3

    Watching Cody in the run up to that wrestlemania is the thing that got me into the WWE as someone who knew nothing about it. The thing that killed me about that loss wasn't the loss itself, it's how absolutely perfect it would have been to finish the story and how obvious the transition would have been for Roman to the bloodline stuff they've been doing, a rejected champ overthrown by the crowd favorite and self-destructing on his warpath back to reclaim it. It just felt like such a missed opportunity when all the pieces were there, and honestly, the Lesnar feud feels so contrived by comparison it's hard to enjoy it even though they're both incredible performers. It's hard to get invested in when there's only a few months of build and it's all just based on "Brock betrayed Cody because he's Like That". But I dunno, I'm new to this. Maybe in a few months it'll go someplace I can start to get excited about again.

    • @anthonyanderson9303
      @anthonyanderson9303 Рік тому +2

      It's almost as if Cody being champion and Brock betraying him cuz he wants the title made TOO much sense for WWE writers. To your point, all the bloodline stuff going on now could still have happened without Roman still having the titles cuz honestly that storyline isn't even about the titles at this point. Plus let's say going into this SummerSlam it's Roman vs Jey with no title on the line. There's actually intrigue there that Jey might beat him, especially since he pinned him at Money in the Bank. But we all know he's not beating Roman for the title so now it's become predictable.
      But having Cody as champion and going over Brock in his first title feud would have been huge and could have set up the return feud with Roman to be even bigger.

    • @612dxy8
      @612dxy8 Рік тому

      i agree but brock betrayed Cody because Brock is not a face he normally doesn’t side with faces nor does he respect them the cody/brock feud was more of a brock thing like i’m the beast what are you gonna do about and you gotta think normally nobody does anything about it they run away cody didn’t he beat brock which made brock mad and made the feud continue the feud ended because Cody made brock respect him because he wouldn’t give up and he beat broke more than once brock had to respect it

  • @Rockohill
    @Rockohill Рік тому +1

    I can relate to what Cody said about his attitude. I'm the first to tell my co-workers to get out of work if they are even a little bit sick. I'm like "TF you are doing here? Go home! You are sick!!" But when it comes to myself, I used to be like "one eye moves, get to work", until that one time I went to work with sore throat. Had just been sick for a week cuz of bad case of larygnitis i think it was. Then i went back and was working as an assistant teacher with sixth graders. A place where you NEED your voice. Went there, had to shout, my voice broke. Since then, whenever i get even a small flu, my voice goes away. Completely. And even when healthy, if i talk for a long time, my voice breaks. Like Brock lesnar, is suddenly sound like puberty teen with voice going bonkers. I haven't gotten it checked, but I'm pretty sure that one time I damaged my vocal cords permanently.
    So if you are sick, rest. Don't be a hero, cuz if you try to be, you are just gonna be an idiot

My jaw just dropped, and I was like wwe, what the fuck, why would youuuu fumble this soo hard, I was just in complete in utter shock, I was so upset, 😂, I was like why did we not pull the trigger on cody rhodes, n part of me still worries that like what if he isn't as white hot as he was then, idk I still kinda feel like that was a huge mistake, to be honest, but then again, what they're doing now w roman and jey, and like this match, wouldn't be as big, (roman v jey at summer slam), this wouldn't be the same, causeee the tribal chiefs character, a huge part of that is the title, the title belts, that he walks around with, but like then again, I really don't know, I'm still conflicted about it till this day, I liked the fact that the match result wasn't spoiled on the internet like most are nowadays, cause going into it, it was soooo 50/50, fans thought cody was gonna win, this was gonna be his moment n others thought roman would retain, I was on the cody side, like idk I really feeeeel like, he should've won tbh

    People loved the AEW character, was just played slightly too meta and the crowd was also slightly confused. Was so close to working for me tho, was for sure a great idea the “dark superhero”
