Just saying that I saw Harper earlier this year at Petco not even run all the way to first base on three ground balls in one game so NO he does not run harder than Manny. The criticism of Manny is deserved but let’s not rewrite history guys
Exactly, he's not been rendon,lol
That opening song just blows Ben...Giant leap frogged the Padres..
Manny got paid his bag that’s all he hustled in 22 for . Now his effort shows in his actions and play.
😡😡😡I been the padres fan for 44 years and live in San Diego 22 years and Philadelphia 22 years the different between machado and Harper is Harper is so regular people walking around the town and neighborhood talk to people in regular jeans and allway give 110 percent on the field and machado everything is opposite and not easy to get along and his effort on the is terrible 😡
Fun fact: the Padres have grounded into the most double plays by a team this season, with 69 double plays 🤣
That's not fun,lol,
He has had injuries 3 times trying to beat out a throw to 1st at least. Serious Knee injury while in Baltimore, Ankle in CO for Pads, This season hip for Pads. So Don’t sprint out a 99 out of 100 easy play.
Get over the bubble he blows a bubble hitting a home run, he blows a bubble after a pick and before throwing a guy out at 1st, he blows a bubble after striking out.
He is hated because he was a HOT head on the field early in his career, He is hated wrongfully for a hard slide into Second on Pedroia, He is hated for dragging his foot over the Brewers 1B in the playoffs that the player pulled a soccer injury acting roll.
He makes the game look easy on D-Fence and player such as Arenado make it look hard and are praised and awarded for it.
Hated for being too intense early in his career and now hated for being too chill in the middle of his career. 🙄
That last sentence is kinda fair. Speaking for myself I don’t hate Manny. But I do get frustrated with him in some instances
You can’t really hustle blowing a bubble can you? How do you give it all to your body while concentrating on blowing a bubble? Nothing says hustle like a bubble, right?
GTFOOH with the excuses. He’s no Arenado. Arenado has heart AND HUSTLE!
Hated for being IMMATURE early in his career and STILL hated for being IMMATURE AND LAZY in the middle of his career.
So lackadaisical at the plate. No energy whatsoever and it shows. I honestly hope they keep losing this year so AJ loses his job
No real padre fan roots for their team to lose, even when I don't like the manager, I still root for the team,
@@brando7266 speak for yourself. AJ Preller is the problem and as long as he’s the GM we have no hope whatsoever. Losing will only help things going forward
@@RidingHumboldtCounty so when we went to the nlcs in 2022, u were rooting for the Phillies?
@@brando7266 lmao no
@@brando7266 how about the walk off from a bunch of bush leaguers?
“Positivity” is not lipstick on a pig or out right lying
It’s we have these issues - here is how we are addressing them - we have some work to do but know we will get there
Not hard to do - AT ALL
Facts
We have the same record as last year after 76 games 37-39
That will never happen Manny does not hustle it’s totally True didn’t even hustle in the World Series in 2018
No Jim, no problem- Ha Ha! "Our" Padres - growing problem. No laughs or celebrations to be had- (yet?)
Good video, Ben....I enjoy your takes on the padres, and as a long-term fan (since the 80s), I can see the passion you have.
It is a good thing the NL is horrible in 2024. Will it change after the ASB......who knows. I'm not a big fan of Schildt, but that's me. I would love to have a "Bruce Bochy" type of manager. Someone who tells it like it is. Not beat around the bush during interviews.
Thanks for having me! - Schaeffer
I love Manny and his I don't give 2 fuck attitude! The only thing that matters in life is family. People forget that it's just sports entertainment. A kids' game. People need to come back down to reality. The media could quite frankly go f themselves. In the grand sceam of things
I think some of mannys issues are hustling is his ankle injury in Colorado. I personally don’t think he should have ran that out and he damn near looked like he snapped his ankle.certain plays need to be smart just wish he would come hard out the box no matter what then slow up if they field it cleanly and stuff
Let’s lay it out : Manny locked in his last contract, got the bag, and has zero incentive to play hard because exactly none of his superiors in the chain of command are willing to serve Machado any consequences. Such is the state of affairs in the MLB with big contract players. I could give a dozen examples of underperforming players who secured the bag
I know right? The answer is so obvious. Padres fans have to keep making excuses like him having a kid who keeps him up all night or injuries which are a result of his added weight gain since 2022.
Deep down they know this is the real issue but won’t say it because admitting to it is admitting they are stuck with this guy into the 2030s and can do nothing about it.
If he cares about making the hof, he needs to have 5 more good yrs,
@@brando7266 absolutely zero evidence to support that he cares, body language never lies
@@BillyBologna333 I can't get into his head, but most players want to get 2 things-_ other than 💰lol, - a ring ,and getting into the hof( it makes u an immortal in mlb history
@@brando7266 you most certainly can “ get into his head “. Human communication is 85% non verbal. Body language is the literal manifestation of subconscious beliefs. Machado has a history of lack of hustle, insubordination and disdain for the etiquette of big league baseball. It’s not a new pattern. But there are legions of Machado apologists to excuse his boorish and unprofessional behavior, so on and on it goes. His current OPS is 8th best on the Padres. That is congruent with his lack of hustle and excuse making, but hey…..it’s just a game after all
hell yeah on your way to fourth place, lol
