I got the Maytag Pet Pro July 2023 at Lowe's with $250.00 extended protection. Never heard a washer make so much noise. And the dryer has to run twice to dry the clothing. The washer drum is wobbling and won't wash. I wanted another brand snd will pay the difference but Lowe's will only do it if we get an RA # from Maytag wich they won't give. AND notice you have only 48 hrs to return the equipment. (Really?)I am stuck with this crappy equipment! Waiting to be serviced! You will notice Maytag/Whirlpool Amana, etc are built the same. Will never again get any of their brands.
@pat cola, yes, there's now a video of the agitation during the wash cycle on Towels setting with Deep Fill, Pet Pro option. It doesn't turn the clothes over like my beloved old 1993 GE Filter Flo, but it HAS been getting stuff pretty clean! And you can see some of the hair in the Pet Pro filter. (I have been emptying it 2-3 times during the wash even though it's not necessary.) It looks more like the agitator tends to move water through the clothes versus the clothes through the water.
Yes and no. It is about as good as I figured it would be, but not as good as it should be. I haven't seen any models of any brand, including Speed Queen, that actually remove pet hair as well as the old GE Filter Flo, the original Maytags with the filter in the agitator, and all the other brands that used to have a standard lint filter in the washer many years ago. I know that none of the machines today are built like they should be, so I bought the extended 5-year service agreement from Maytag. Within 5 months of light use, the washer was already making noises. They came out and basically replaced everything inside. Now, I've had the set about 15 months, and it makes some noises again sometimes but still works. I'm not a fan of all the newer models' gentle agitation or ridiculously long cycles, but over all, it does help get a lot more hair off compared to all the other new machines simply because it's the only choice with a lint filter. I got a really good deal on mine. I waited over 30 years for any brand to finally put the lint filter back in the washer, so I had to have it. So, yes, I'd probably buy it again, but definitely get the 5 year extended service from Maytag.
I just got my washer and dryer about 3 days ago, and I’m having the same issue. The dryer is good, but the washer is ughh but thank you for letting me know.
It holds quite a bit, and it fills deeper than a lot of other models out there. There are larger machines, but so many of them will hardly fill up with any water, even on max fill.
I have a very stupid question... on the dryer, then end of cycle signal, does it light up when it's on or off? I've tried both and never heard the signal and find nothing online or instructions on this. Hope you can help. Thank you!
@Vicki Douglas, It is supposed to be lit up when you DON'T want the signal sound. If it's NOT lit up, they you should hear a signal sound at the end of the cycle. If you look closely, the icon is like a siren horn with a slash through it. To turn it on or off you, hold down the Wrinkle Prevent button for 3 seconds. It says, "Hold 3 sec Cycle Signal" right beneath it. It's kinda confusing.
Make sure the lights are on; just press the power button (NOT the start/pause button). Or even just twist the setting knob to get the lights to turn on. Then the spot treat water button should flow water when you push it.
Yes, mine started grinding and making bad noises after only 5 months of careful use! Since it is still within the one year original factory warranty, they came and replaced the whole transmission and motor. I'm really glad I bought the extended 5 year service directly from Maytag when I bought this set. I knew going in that Maytag isn't built like it used to be, but I HAD to have that washer lint and hair filter! The main reason I bought this set was for the filter in the washer. My hope is that when the 6 years are up that other companies will put a lint filter in their washers like it used to be pretty much standard many years ago.
I love that this washer actually uses enough water!

I have had mine for a year now. Love it. So much hair it removes from yhe pets in yhe house.
it works!!!!!!!
There was actually about twice this much by the time the full cycle was finished.
Could you show the wash action of this machine?

My Maytag makes that same noise when it's running
We already see that already in old washer
Ive been looking into this set. Do you like yours?

Is this a large load? I just ordered mine but I’m afraid it might be to small, I usually get 5.2 cu

Joker washer
How do you get the water to come on for spot treating. I've tried pushing the button

Does yours make an extremely loud noise? Mine literally sounds like gears grinding during certain cycles
