@@MrEp5 I don't have a problem with anyone getting paid however they can get paid. We've all gotta eat. I just think it's funny that comment has so many up votes when IMMEDIATELY after he said he'd still take there money. He was serious, too, because who wouldn't? Who has turned down Nike or energy drink money? It makes his previous comment, the one being praised here, have slightly less weight to it.
Not staying hydrated during a session is dangerous. And slamming anything other than water and Gatorade is a recipe for dehydration.
And Dave is still keeping ti real, he sad he'd take the money but not push bullshit...that's as a real as it gets. :)
As popular as Dave is I can't believe he doesn't have a shoe sponsor. He deserves to have a good one. Would love to see him on Vans.

Heavy episode!! As I get older, my body aches more often from skating. But hearing this dudes stories, I'm so freaking thankful that my joints dont dislocate like his.
Ive been going out and skating with my long time skate homie. And its rough man. I can still land my tricks super clean but even when I land them. My joints in my knees and my lower back hurt for a whole week after that. It sucks I want to skate how I used to. My homie can still shred. I dont know how guys like Andrew Reynolds can still skate big obstacles at his age
Super inspiring to hear him talking about how gnarly his injuries have been but yet still pushing through and back skating. Also openly talking about mental health issues.. Helps a lot of kids out when pros they look up to are talking about some real life shit. Much love to Gravette and nine club for this one.
all he does is complain about injuries, so many skaters slam as hard or harder then him and they don't throw tantrums and pretend every bone in their body is broken after every trick attempt. Hes a gnarly skater but his attitude would make him no fun to be around its embarrassing.
David is such a chill dude. It really bums me out hearing all the struggles he goes through just to keep skating. Then even the stuff he goes through trying to sleep. Like it seems like it's so hard to just have an escape without somthing happening

The interviews give a weird (in a good way) feeling of having listened to the story of a close friend that I've known and loved for most of my life. Congrats to everyone involved!

I have always wanted to see him on here and glad he is finally on here. I've followed this man's career since 2006 maybe 2010 or earlier. His a nutty man but always has fun doing his nutty stuff. Thank you for having him. Hopefully he comes back on sometime soon. And yes King of the Dong was hilarious. Hope he does King Of The Road sometime soon again.

That hip dislocation story was heavy stuff. I'm (of course) a skater, but I also work in the field of orthopedic surgery. Dave's a true trooper. Big up. Many people would've just given up. But I guess we skaters know it's not that easy. :)

I’ve always admired David gravette as a skateboarder. I am from the Pacific Northwest and I remember watching him in my younger days rip up this skatepark I used to go to every weekend. Didn’t see him there all the time, but sometimes. He has a very gnarly style that I think goes unnoticed in a lot of skaters. He’s had a lot of injuries and I honestly think it’s just bad luck. Some of these skaters who are a lot older than him have been super hard on their bodies with not as many injuries. The guy was born to skate, it’s just his body hasn’t been good to him. I hope the best for him and I’m extremely happy that he’s been blessed with a career in skateboarding. I can’t imagine what it’s like to try and make it as a skateboarder.
