    Oyamaru is good for making texture plates. It comes in small hard blocks. Soften in boiling water, make an impression, it hardens very quickly, so you need to work fast. If it doesn't work out as you want, pop it back in the boiling water and start again. Thank you Sandy for the interesting suggestions.

      Thanks for the tips! I did a video about a similar product a while back: ua-cam.com/video/iJ920Sb1_RE/v-deo.html It's great stuff, but for some reason I really do prefer the silicone molding putty.

    You can always use the molding putty on the polymer clay texture plates, too. and that would give you both innies and outies.

    Thank you! I am making Mexican tamales for decorating and I'm using real husks but I was looking on how to texture the meat that peeks out of one end and you have me some great ideas. I was thinking even a piece of crumpled aluminum foil.

    Excellent video.....This my second day viewing plymer clay videos and I am truly fascinated by this product. Can you tell me if you have had any experience casting this material in a resin? I am a pen turner and can see some benefits in using poymer clay.

    • @SandyHuntress
      @SandyHuntress  5 років тому

      I'm not sure what you mean, casting polymer clay in resin? There are lots of folks combining the two media, and also many polymer pens out there.

    • @SandyHuntress

      Follow the package directions of your particular clay. I like to bake mine for a bit longer, as that makes the finished results stronger.

    after I made my own patter, what should I do with texture sheet? How become permanent?

    • @SandyHuntress
      @SandyHuntress  4 роки тому +1

      Since it’s baked polymer clay, it is permanent. I still have mine from years ago.
