Haven't watched the video yet but saw some others, in case you didn't know grubby you 100% confirmed did not pull the pack, you can see your combat drop as the first pack dies which would be impossible if the other pack was aggro'd to you.
He actually would have survived if he had roached out and went straight for the opposite alcove they cleared just before they pulled the other one, but I doubt he would have chosen to do that even if he knew he could have.
He didn't pull cause the nova didn't pull and then he was casting a flame strike, it';s impossible for him to pull. the tank shouted I think. EDIT: yu can see the war back up near them and shout, in the animation.

You did so well for someone so new to the game! Stuff happens, Hardcore is quite literally super hard, because of the intense consequences. The game wasn't designed for perma-death. It's been a pleasure to watch, and just take away that it'll be fun to explore some new classes and you may just find that you enjoy another class even more! I can see you enjoying Druid a lot, because the class has so much variety and so many tools to use, and great survivability IMO. It's a great class for someone who is high IQ

I feel the way grubby handled that death shows that he is a true at heart. So gracious and humble. Truly walks with the earth mother. Looking forward to the Druid content!
The tauren warrior pulled for sure. However you guys couldve just jumped on the ledge in the torch room to evade all the mobs. Making the call to fight the 2 packs after the mobs were already spread and party at half mana was the fatal mistake
For future reference should things go bad in the throne room, it is a possibility to run back out to the room where mobs respawn fast and jump up on the ledge that is at the base of the walls. It is a safespot so the mobs will reset. Mad respect for making it this far on your second ever char !
That is the beauty of permanent death, you can feel the awkwardness of everybody as their soul gets crushed for losing a character they were so attached and in love with. Great content Grubby.
Just came here from Xaryu's stream analyzing what went down, Keep your head up Grubby with the amount of things you learned at this pace as newbie you'd def hit 60 soon. Sending you luck .Sucks it happened in Christmas Day.
Its funny how they backpulled every single pack in the dungeon and fight that pack that is known to wipe your group due to masspulling when the tank or a melee moves too far lefts in that dangerous spot. You are bodypulling if someone steps on the last row of tiles on the left side at 9:50 and the sidestep of the taruen at 9:51 just doomed their fate
i never understand why warr want to charge in to packs that are so close to other packs, in a situation like that every part of me would be saying "pull the pack back" you can literally see the mobs
You always can learn, even from wow / game streams. You handled situation extremely well (here I mean emotions), cheering up the girl in the group, true friend!
Classic Wow is a knowledge check. You pick a wrong item on ground or are unaware of some elite spawn and you're dead. If anyone in your party had called for you to LOS pull the last mobs, you would have been completely fine. (Tank responsibility mostly to know this, but not all tanks know every spot - party needs to give info.) Or if you had known about the safe spots literally 5 seconds away from where you fought the mobs. Rest of the dungeon MIlkhard actually gave good information. Call to fight was good, but that needed to happen earlier. Group needed leadership and decisiveness :) Was such a pleasure watching you level Grubby! :) Hope you end up enjoying the druid as well! It's a great class to learn basics of tanking ,warrior, healing and rogue mechanics all in one class :)

Of all the new WoW streamers you and Tyler1 have been my favorite to watch as a long time player. I hope you're not too discouraged from rerolling and have a good journey on your new character. Keep up the great work!
Don't reroll as druid, can't tell if you will enjoy the class that much. As a hybrid class, it's very versatile but it also has an unique dynamic and a broad identity. It takes a while to become a good druid player. The druid is like decent in everything but does not reach the specificity ceiling other more straightforward classes achieve. I always felt like that playing druid. If you want a challenge try Warrior, although on HC mode, it's going to be very difficult. If you like playing the Orc Blademaster hero, try Rogue. Rogue class has a very similiar ability kit like the Blademaster (minus the Bladestorm, that's a Warrior ability), better survivability and more forgiving with slips and mistakes like the ones that happened in that dungeon. Even tho was sad cause he died, but we got an awesome journey and now a new opportunity to enjoy a new run with Grubby the Druid see y'all on the next video (Glad grubby love challenges and didn't gave up on his 2°death)
Grubby, you give us all incredible content, i'm sad you lost your mage but knowing you, i'm sure you will come back stronger than ever with your druid, and become an amazing Hardcore WoW player ! I'll follow your new journey till the end !
From my point of view, you got the best possible death. Progressing brd in a none 60 grp, getting to the last room, being with your friends, in voice, against a doable pull. A real glorious death
It was a legendary run. o7 I'm glad you're going with druid next. I never cared much for the class in normal WoW, but on HC I love to play as hybrid, being able to play a little bit of everything. It is also one of the more difficult classes for HC since you have no reset and very little control. But if you drop one talent point into balance, you can have such amazing spells like Nature's Grasp, which is like Frost Nova if it had 1 minute cooldown, only worked outdoors and only affected one target as a proc when getting hit.
This is why Grubby is the goat. He loses his character that he put weeks of work into and immediately starts talking about what he's going to learn to do better next time. The emotional intelligence on this guy is next level.
Sorry Grubbster! It's been gr8 watchn your Mage journey from 1 to current lvl before its EoJ. You have done really well and just kept improvin. Hoping your next char you will have just as much fun as your mage and level up even faster and make it to 60.

I'm amazed that you've made it so far already, and even more so that you're getting back on the horse after falling. Good stuff, Grubby. I look forward to more adventures.
I’m currently playing my first ever druid which is saying something considering I was here for this game in 2004 when it released all the way through burning Crusade, which is when I quit. I’m loving the druid so far . It’s so versatile and the questioning goes so quickly.
I've played a good amount of WoW. Classic has hard and sharp edges, a lot of difficulty that will surprise you, or just try to kill you randomly thanks to not knowing. Hardcore is honestly not something that interests me personally in WoW, but I've played HC diablo for years. There's nothing like the genuine feeling of loss and adventure it brings, and altho I'm sad to see you lose a character, this is definitely part of the experience. It's a show of personality for someone to take it in stride, Grubby, and I salute you for it. Lok'tar Ogar!
I honestly can’t believe you made it to level 56 on your second character grubby. That’s worthy of congratulations. I made a mage in hard-core inspired by yours. I also just love mages. I died in under city when my character fell through the damn elevator at level 20 Ish. I love the idea of hard-core but I just can’t do it when bullshit like that happens lol
So strange to not range pull that pack. Also strange to not make a stand in this room. This was a fun adventure to watch. Druid is going to be fun :) Glhf!
Mob was pulled by tauren warr, if you change speed of video to 0.25, you can see that in 9:51 its maybe cleave, what was the reason of pull that mob, maybe im wrong, but at that moment the upper mob start moving, when mob under him get hit by something, its cleave or?
I think the biggest mistake here was not pulling the group out of the gates around the corner. There is no reason to not play it safe as a tank in a dungeon especially on hardcore. Don't know why he wanted to tank them on the spot
I saw this clip on Guzu's channel and it was mentioned there that even after body pulling and grabbing the extra groups if The group just LOS behind the door to the left or right side, they possibly could have lived through this. (But everyone stayed in the open and was getting ranged left right and center) then ran through the fire retreating more. Panic mode! The group did so well through the gauntlet too and the tank did gr8 guiding them through it.. maybe got complacent after it and just did a charge pull.. HC is brutal and unforgiving. 😥😥😥 So sorry Grubby and rest of the ppl in the group that perished!
that is only hindsight thinking. you die only because one or more misstakes happening and misstakes are human, same as the little panic. and misstakes are never intentional
@@coardaoc1226 Not at all. It's a fundamental that every tank should have: LOS pull wherever you can (unless you're giga geared). If you continuously play it risky, eventually that rare 5% screw-up case will happen. So yeah, always do safe pulls, always do LOS pulls. There's a second benefit to that and that's better AOE since they're all stacked.
@@0rcd0c did you even read what i wrote??? even the most basic thing can be done wrong , then its called a misstake. it can happen, cos 0% of all player play perfect 100%
Getting closer to Orc town. :) It's always sad when you lose a HC char, hope the next experience will be even better. A toast to the new adventures that await us!
I'm saddest for Milkhard. He did an *awesome* job for 99% of this dungeon. Explained things clearly and calmly, pulled well, announced his actions etc. Just died to lack of experience imo.
i wanna recommend druid or shaman as an alternative. they're a nice mix of melee and casters! A new experience but also lots of magic tools to deal with sticky situations
Alas, despite his massively improved skill and knowledge, Grubby like all men was doomed to become his Father Grubtor. Very heavily distracted (by meeting/by loot), not fully realizing he was in an extremely dangerous area and using his tools accordingly (no demon skin/no portal spam), half fighting and half running instead of committing to one or the other (solo/whole group) RIP Grubby. Long live Grubby the druid!
What a journey. Playing with responsibility and awareness! And even after such consequent end, stanfing up and go again! that's what gaming experience can and should be! ❤ Maybe give a try to a alliance walkthrough and experience the wonderful elwynn-westfall-redridge-darkwood journey 😁
It was a great experience following your journey and your reaction as always sets a great example, looking forward to following your druid which I know will be probably even more enjoyable than the mage, best of wishes and merry christmas!
You should be way more selective with who you group with towards the endgame so this does not happen again. Also, it would be smart to make sure you want to roll a Tauren Druid before you start leveling again. You made the decision while you were grieving the loss of your mage. Taurens have very clunky movement that makes the game feel very slow. I think you would enjoy a Troll or Orc Warrior, Rogue or Shaman. Keep in mind that Druid and Shaman cannot do what they do as well as other classes. They are novelty classes. If you want to stick with ranged DPS, Hunter would give you the highest damage other than mage. Warlock is very slow with both damage and mobility, would not recommend it for a new player.
Thank you for not clickbaiting the title.

"This is my new Flame"- FeelsBadMan Keep going grub!
That’s what Illidan says in the next expansion. “You are not prepared”!
Got sad in that moment, but you handled it well.
Getting closer to Orc town. :)
It's always sad when you lose a HC char, hope the next experience will be even better.
A toast to the new adventures that await us!
I'm saddest for Milkhard. He did an *awesome* job for 99% of this dungeon. Explained things clearly and calmly, pulled well, announced his actions etc. Just died to lack of experience imo.
much love ❤ sorry for the loss
Oh no! What a video to come back from holidays to, RIP Grubby! That sucks :( Good luck on your new character, we always go agene!
I haven’t played WoW in years; but just seeing you in front of that door made me laugh 😂
I've been so impressed with your journey grubby!
I hope you go agane
rip Grubby, very good for second try!
i wanna recommend druid or shaman as an alternative. they're a nice mix of melee and casters! A new experience but also lots of magic tools to deal with sticky situations
Alas, despite his massively improved skill and knowledge, Grubby like all men was doomed to become his Father Grubtor. Very heavily distracted (by meeting/by loot), not fully realizing he was in an extremely dangerous area and using his tools accordingly (no demon skin/no portal spam), half fighting and half running instead of committing to one or the other (solo/whole group)
RIP Grubby. Long live Grubby the druid!
Good on you for going again!
What a journey. Playing with responsibility and awareness! And even after such consequent end, stanfing up and go again! that's what gaming experience can and should be! ❤
Maybe give a try to a alliance walkthrough and experience the wonderful elwynn-westfall-redridge-darkwood journey 😁
RIP. That was an amazing journey and a pleasure to watch. We go agane
Remember: Always PULL EVERYTHING BACK if you wish to be safe. Way back. Good attempt to 60, cant wait to see you go again.
Love goes out to you Grubby! And I love you are going again :)
It was a great experience following your journey and your reaction as always sets a great example, looking forward to following your druid which I know will be probably even more enjoyable than the mage, best of wishes and merry christmas!
damn that death turned Grubby into a philosopher
