That's enchanting. As someone without kids it's lovely to see the words being applied that way. Maybe that was a thought your parents had when looking at you as a kid. The person this song is about is no longer in my life so it's sort of the opposite. When I wrote it I was waking up next to them. By the time I released it I was looking back at those moments wishing time would have stopped. Now new love is entering my life and the wheels keep turning.
