Incredible descent from Pogacar, Evenepoel was the smartest among the other riders, descended carefully and did not take any risks and then finished 2nd
Vingegaard had a minor crack - let’s call it a fracture - and Pogi was masterful on the decent to the finish. Remco was brilliant today!

I really wanted Vingegaard to be able to catch him on the decline, once at about 11secs. He's prob still mentally bit scarred from his crash.
Well, he's still got more race to catchup.
His descending skill is still amazing. I guess he ran out of gas to pedal hard on the less steep part later.
I dont think he got in the right preperation for challenging Pogacar properly this year because of his chrash..So if people think last year was too onesided, they are going to hate this years tour!
I worry he may have long term effects. There are plenty of other riders who never came back fully after a bad crash. I hope he gets back to top form. He is in the prime years of his career.

and his opponent having one of the best climbing teams ever.
Remco might be the main rival to Pogacar in this Tour.

Considering the crash...But in terms of beeing an equal challenger for Pogacar in this years tour...I just dont think its doable with the shot prep-time he has been able to have after the hospital!

Carapaz got whooped, 5’10” down. Pogi dominated as expected. Friday’s ITT will be exciting.
That to me was the surprise of the day. Second was pidcock dropping so early.

It's not just Pgacar... it's the entire team, the others don't have a team, that's what favors him a lot... in addition to his excellent conditions... like in the spin that's the UAE with pogacar a level above and the others down fighting for second places

Remco is very impressive to catch up. He was easily 50s behind pogi at one point. Imo for the TT first Remco second pogi.

In Italy the competition just wasn't there. Martinez is third helper for BORA and Thomas is 39 and third helper for Ineos. Pogacar wasn't even going 100% except for stage 1, stage to Europa and stage to Livigno (he really wanted to win that stage because at the top of Livigno he had first date with his fiancee Urska). Today he was going 100% and it can be seen in this video how he is rocking the shoulders and has open mouth.

Bet pog regretted a little that he didn’t attack jonas sooner on the climb. Could’ve gotten a bigger gap since jonas cracked so soon after pog’ attack
He said, he couldn't attack sooner, because of the wind.
If Pogacar attacked earlier Vingegaard would not have followed him. He would have drove his own pace.
There was a headwind so Pogačar choose to attack on one of the rare places when the road turned and it was a tailwind. Almeida was really impressive riding into the headwind for many kilometers.

Pogi is the man 👍 JV capitalised last year after Pogi was recovering from his crash and now it’s Pogi turn 😂 he smashed him and JV looked bad 🎉
He smashed him ? Pog crash is nothing compared to jonas he wasnt even suppost to be able to follow uae muchless pogi. Jonas had no team, serious inury , and 2 months of no racing yet he held on which is a miracle by itself.
No hate on Pogacar but Vingegaard is the better rider in general.
Pogi has more strength than jonas that's why his attacks are explosive and he was able to take time on descent, but Jonas has better endurance, if he attacks few kms from the top, pogi won't follow.

Pogi has literally just won the Giro d'Italia, he's done all the classics and monuments. Vingeegard as evry yesr is just resting for the Tour and more specifically the climbs. Pogi is way more a 360 complete cyclist @@MicroageHD

Let’s stop road racing on public roads. They cause nothing but mayhem for the locals. The amateur riders who all turn up in Lycra thinking they are the best riders in the world cause chaos on the roads for three days either side of the race area. Let’s get these bicycles onto the F1 race tracks and off the public roads.

This performance is not normal, hes break away and won one minute over excellent riders and finish strong. For me any dopping not discover yet.
Tour over in stage 4 already. Thats good, then we do other things this month. Jonas should probably have stayed at home. Never seen him so gassed before and with his legs gone at the top of the mountain like that before. It will only get worse for him from, might not even finish the tour and definitely wont get podium. Nobody cares about the podium except 1st anyways.

That's what happened to Pogacar in 2022 when Visma team literally decimated him. It will be a long and grueling tour for Jonas. The expectations are low

It’s far from over. Vingegaard will only get better because of no races before the tour while pogacar will most likely get worse because of fatigue from the giro
