I've waited 1 year for this season and finished it in just some hours. Young royals holds some real power over me and is hauntingly beautiful, a series so powerful, so well-done, soundtracks and acting on point, amazing story and production, such beautifully filmed scenes, how can I ask for more? Every actor did an incredible job and I love how real it felt, how I could understand every character to some extend, like I even felt sorry for August who doesn't deserve that. And about Wille and Simon? These 2 are made for each other, whatever obstacle they have to face, they always find a way to each other, trying to fall in love with someone else was wrong for both of them, but in these teenage years, everyone makes so many mistakes, is hurt, loves, all these incredible and painful eveniments. I literally need a season 3 right now 😭😭

When Simon whispered in Wilhelm's ear, "I love you," not just a King was born, but an Emperor (all kings) rose up out of the ashes of despair. Their journey was harrowing and heart-breaking, but utterly majestic! Where they go from that triumphant ending of season 2 is anyone's guess, but these two characters have proven to themselves, one another, and everyone in their sphere-of-influence that we all can greatly change even the most calcified of conditions. This is the most beautiful thing on film that I have ever seen! The writing was excellent, but Omar and Edvin's truth drove this whole story.
When Wilhelm gave his speech and started telling everyone that he was the one with Simon on the tape, it was his own way of saying "I love you too" back to Simon, and it was so beautiful. Because he knows Simone doesn't want to be a secret even though he told him he doesn't care anymore, and Wilhelm just wanted to be free from his family and everything. He finally spoke his mind! The whole season felt real, some scenes were really shocking but in a good way. The acting got even better in season 2.
absolute must, i wil BAWL if we dont. however im sure we will because of how s2 ended, with the press recording willies confession. now that wilhelm and simon are together and have gone through so much pain to find each other again, they are more powerful than ever. i believe s3 will be about navigating through what is to come of wilhelm with his confession, but with simon at his side. just a theory though :)
@@michellelohde8683 i sure hope so, but i didnt even think of that before you brought that up, and it gave me another idea for a theory: what if the cops do find out about August posting the tape, but like august said simon will get dragged down with him for the drugs. so maybe s3 will be about that possibiliy actually happening, and trying to get out of it?? or maybe the creators will create a new conflict centered around wilhelms confession and try to set that stuff off to the side...who knows
Isn‘r it incedible how we all became witness to a prince who bluntly fell in love, so quickly, to the one honest, true-to-himself student from a humble family background? The one that is not snob, not noble, just gifted with intelligence, musical talent and a kind heart. How Wilhelm leaves all the social comfort of being a royal behind to try to be with the person who sees his character and not his social status. And how Wilhelm enduringly and, yes, also desperately fights for being with Simon (if you leave out the momenta after his brother’s death) even though he could easily have so many guys, in Sweden alone. Wilhelm’s humbleness and Simon’s authenticity throughout both seasons are so impressive to me.
I've watched season 2 in one day, I can't believe this is the end of it. I'm left with so many emotions, their love story is so beautiful... I'm re watching both seasons again and all I am left now is this song that sums up all the emotions, love, heartache they have both experienced throughout both seasons...Love always wins!
Young Royals will be always my favourite series all the time. It shows the real word verry much. Yeah in a relationships there can be problems like this and even if this sow doesn't have a ton of scenes when Wille and Simon show love because of the lot of problems they have it doesn't matter. It have just enough scenes like that abd it always worth is after the arguments. This series is an emotional rollercoaster that's why I adore it.
I think everyone wanted so much more softness out of Season 2, but in order for the stories and characters to all grow, and for Wilhelm and Simon be strong enough to last through the shitstorm that’s about to come their way, they had to go through all of this to find each other, and realise that they are each other’s choice for happiness, no matter how hard they tried to find it in other ways. Young royals has always felt like a trilogy to me and the cast have said theres a lot more of the story to still tell. This season was for character growth, especially individually with simon and wilhelm. We see wilhelm go to a therapist, confide in new friends he didn't have before, stand up to his mom, put august in his place, and go through anxiety and how to deal with it. We see simon try so hard to forget wilhelm and try to re-create the same feelings with marcus, which fails (as seen when marcus asks about the fish and he talks about him to ayush/rob), express his feelings through a song, and gain more confidence socially (gym scenes). I think it was strategic to have it this way in order to stairway into another season, otherwise it would have been boring/repetitive to just have happy scenes with them - this leaves more room for it in S3.

At 02:04, when Will shoots into the air, you notice that the whole thing was made a bit simply. Simon's reaction was so prepared for the shot. Everyone would have been scared to death if it had been real. Those present should have shown a little more fear here, as it actually looked planned and a bit tacky.

Watching S2 is like being famished for a year then demolishing the entire season in one sitting. The savoring will come later ... in the endless rewatch of the poignant, explosive, painful and beautiful parts.

Yes, and that made me very angry and sad, it made me want to hug Wilhelm and tell him everything is going to be okay, my beautiful boy was alone, I hated Simon's friends, they always had a negative comment towards Wilhelm.
