it's a tough situation to fix. Realistically they should be getting paid more. I like how they point out about Glencore, when the reality is they only own a few of the 19 mines in Congo. Chinese companies represent the majority share of the mines.
These guys are mining toxic elements with their hands, no PPE, and all of these companies claim that no artisanal miners are in their mines, only industrial grades. Just take another look at all the kids and people with no shoes or flip flops, no masks, and only hand tools

I had an iPhone 13 Pro Max that had a completely shattered screen and the phone didn’t work at all. When I went to Verizon to file an insurance claim on it they said they’d give me an $830 trade in value for it. I was confused as to why and then I remembered the batteries are lithium and my battery wasn’t damaged at all. It’s crazy how valuable it is. This is slavery. Companies like Apple buy lithium from these mines. It’s disgusting. I’m angered by it but I still bought an iPhone 15 Pro Max because they gave me $830 off. Just about everyone of us commenting on this video enables it by continuously buying the products that comes from it. I’m 100% guilty too. It’s a sad world we live in. I love my iPhone. I love my iPad. I love my AirPods and I’m sure everyone else who has them does too. It’s sick a multi billion dollar company will cheap out to the point of slavery.

Many EV batteries actually use absolutely no cobalt at all. ICE vehicles use a lot of Cobalt as well. It is used as a catalyst in the hydrotreating process to remove sulfur from petroleum products. Hydrotreating is a refining process that involves the use of hydrogen and a catalyst to remove impurities such as sulfur, nitrogen, and metals from crude oil and its refined products.

To say they're making a small fortune is disgusting
it's a tough situation to fix. Realistically they should be getting paid more.
