Nagpur had all Facilities / Infrastructure required like International Level huge Airport ( since 1945 ) , Medical College in a huge campus (75 Yrs complete ) , two huge Railway stations since 75 Yrs , High Court (completed 100 Yrs ) , all were all ready before merger in Maharashtra in year 1960 :-- Assembly Hall , Reserve Bank of
India's Huge Building , Nagpur University ( राष्ट्र संत तुकडोजी महाराज विद्यापीठ ) , Agricultural University ( named after पंजाबराव देशमुख कृषी महाविद्यालय ) , Akashwani Center ,
All other Needed Infrastructure needed for being a Capital of the state before merging into a joint Marathi Speaking State ( संयुक्त महाराष्ट्र )
It was a very Rich State as far as #Cotton_Crop ( being exported ) , #Orange as an Exclusive Fruit & only region to grow this Fruit all over India & other Basic Grains were gworn here , Very Rich / Plenty of Minerals ( like Coal Iron Manganese ) & Rich Forest / Flora - Fauna & Water Reservoir / Lakes / Rivers.
Thus this region was all self sufficient about its Financial Needs but all Cunning Politicians just Cheated Vidarbha Wasi people. Naked fact.

If you don't like hot temperature then Nagpur is not for you, even without Summer, the temperature can go over 40 Degrees

Winters are extremely cold here
It's just the Summer months when temperature crosses 40. In winters the maximum temperature would not cross 30 for many days in the season. It experiences good rainfall when compared to rain shadow cities of Pune Nashik n Marathwada.
