Maxton Hall - Scene Discussion: James sees Ruby at the party (episode 3, season 1)

There are so many scenes I like in Maxton Hall. I won't get around to discussing all of them but I'm hoping to discuss some of them.
This is an extremely short sequence and I know that I could have batched it with the next scene - but I think it deserved its own video even though it's so short just because it was such an important moment ... It's also deeply tropetacular - but they did it so well that I I was happy with it.

I think it’s both but honestly with this conversation I think it’s more about image for Elaine like sure she finds him physically attractive she slept with him but let’s recall back to episode 2 where Ruby drags him saying no one will be ever be interested in him except for his looks and money. I think this scene perfectly parallels that. He’s had to live with that his whole life I mean even the whole school sees his name and that’s it.

Also feel free to correct but I can’t remember when she roasts him if she mentions his good looks because that definitely confirms to me she finds him attractive
