As a very new player to Valorant, it's wild they buffed the agent that has a shield or even make an agent that has a shield in game where every bullet counts, lol.
@@N0lam Old Iso balanced ? Newplayer got no chance to use him because they can't effort solo kill 1 tap and making him the worst ever if there's a trade 1 vs 2 he can't escape like Jett or Chamber and try to shoot his shield result as a trade in 1 vs 2 situation
As someone that passively kept up with valorant since beta and am now getting back into it, I find it really strange that this is the angle they went with Iso. I think there was already a sort of gap between how good his double tap shield was and the rest of his kit and they’ve only made that gap into a canyon. Imo probably should have removed the free shield and either buffed or tweaked his other abilities to be more usable or desirable.
his shield and wall combined might be the most op duelist entry kit, you just push with shield up, walking behind the wall and take space, combining it with Jett means getting a free site but his Undercut is still questionable, i have low elo and i don't know proper ways to use it, but i find it underwhelming comparing to the rest of his kit
Interesting changes for the shield ability : Instead of getting a shield on command that can deal with one tick of damage, he just gets a 40hp of shield buff, which absorbs some of the damage, but not block it entirely. So, 100hp of personal health + 50/25hp of pre round shield + 40hp of his personal shield that will run out after a timer. So, he can still tank things like a vandal headshot or an op body shot, but cannot come out unscratched. It will reset after 2 kills, and when he recasts it, he can only regain his personal shield hp and pre round shield hp, but not his personal hp that he has lost, it can be only done by a healer in the team like sage or skye. He will also get 15 percent speed boost while in double tap. He might even get 2 charges of it at this point. There will be a visual indicator when he is in that stage. That way, he can still survive your vandal headshot or op body shot and kill you, but you will die knowing that you did a decent bit of damage and your teammate can finish him. You can still kill him with a vandal or phantom headshot+bodyshot , double martial body shot , 3 guardian body shot etc. He can probably survive shotguns in some situations, but that is a good thing. Also, it might kickstart a new guardian meta, because remember, the guardian does 195 damage on headshot, which can come really handy, so one person in the team will have to buy a guardian instead of a phantom, vandal, op or Odin. He would still need buffs to his other kits to make him viable in pro play.
Honestly, the change they should have made was just to make his shields bigger, so they stick out more and are easier to destroy, while Iso is still behind cover. Not having a 2 kill reset forces you to be way to aggressive, which sucks in many situations, but dealing with the current Iso still sucks, in a chaotic situation. If they really removed his 2 kill reset, they should have made his wall a 2 kill reset signature ability instead, and also buff the wall. The wall probably needs multiple buffs.
it doesn't really make sense he gets another free ability per round cause his shield is already his signature, having a shield and on top also an undercut or wall would be even more op
I think iso should have one of two changes 1. Can block an infinite amount of dmg for one hit, but doesn’t block the head, or 2. Blocks the entire body, but only up to a certain amount of dmg, and shooting his shield will only block up to its health, and any left over dmg is then applied, so he doesn’t fully counter ops or headshots.
Then he would be completely useless and even worse than he was pre buff. They need to rework his kit atp cuz I don’t see a way they can make him balanced.
The first big viper buff changed the whole meta on how controllers were played at the time, taking a character that was seen as a troll pick and turning them into the meta defining agent at the time. I still have nightmares about that 50 instant decay through walls and the old broken swoop peek and the post plant meta
iso is unhealthy for the same reason Blackbeard was unhealthy for siege they could never balance him because the core ability interracts with the main 1 shot mechanic of the game, same as valo
man u def deserve way more subs, you obviously put effort into your vids, keep it up man im sure you'll grow even more in no time. id love to see it happen :)
Iso change imo: The double tap becomes his C ability, it is similar to prebuff, where you have to get a kill first to get a shield. But either he has 2 charges, or the shield duration lasts longer, at least 25 second, with a visual indicator that even if he does not have a shield, he can activate it with a kill. (From enemy POV) His wall becomes his signature ability, it gets multiple buffs, maybe has 2 charges depending on exactly what kind of change was made and has a 2 kill reset. His Vulnerable either has a visual queue or a sound queue, or both that an enemy has been hit. With better range.
imo chamber doesn't even come close to iso pre nerf, chamber was only really good in the hands of someone who could aim, an op in the hands of a bronze isn't gonna instantly make them better iso on the other hand literally carried people higher than they should be and gave them artificial confidence because of his shields
@@glowbrogang you get it twice maybe 3 times a half, that's not carrying anyone also it takes skill to op, you have to unironically be bronze to think it doesn't

I would actually like to see even more broken things from valorant's history since I only started playing this year and haven't experienced most overpowered stuff
Great video, you just forgot to mention the most broken change in the game made by Riot, which is Cypher's plot armor, as he survived an entire cinematic. I don't know what went through the DEVS' minds, but that was wild, no one could believe it. The game doesn't feel the same anymore 💀
Im new to valorant and Iso has the same problem Blackbeard from Siege does. In a game where 1 bullet can instantly change the game they decided to add a protective shield against this mechanic the game revolves around Only to realize that was too strong. Yeah no kidding. It’s crazy too because in valorant the first shot is the most important. The shots that follow up are less accurate the more you shoot which can be the difference between a kill and a death. Unlike siege where all you need to learn is recoil control, Valorant used RNG which is more difficult to control than recoil.
Astra genuinely just needs her 5th star back IMO with maybe a slight inc to their cooldown in that scenario tho idk if its necesarry. cooldowns are in a good spot overall but being the one character in game to not be able to utilize full kit without a cooldown (yes I'm counting recall as a part of her kit it counts). But thinking about it you have 4 stars for 2 smokes, stun, suck, recall and the math just ain't mathing to me. I main controller and have the most time on Omen but it sucks that he's basically the only option on a ton of maps unless you actively want to make the game harder but whether that means he needs a nerf or the others need slight buffs I'm not entirely sure.
I have been playing the console beta & Ares recoil is so bad it's basically unusable. I was hoping Iso would get nerfed on console too, but unfortunately for now he's still got the 20 second double tap that refreshes every two kills.
Iso literally boosted so many people. Every single game instalock iso was topfragging only bc it was broken. He was completly no skill to win. And even now after nerfs he's still super strong.
Iso should be given a shield on first double tap activation and 2 kill restore should be back but the shield should not be granted after the 1st double tap activation
